Samsung S7 Edge Dual SIM from China - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hello guys,
i am in China now and i have a question.
If i buy this phone in China, it means without google services, is it possible to instal it?
I guess to make a ROOT and then to use HongKong version of ROM?
Is it there some solution?
Thank you

As I know, China model is G9350, same as HKG.
I suggest you download the HKG firmware and flash it directly via ODIN.
I don't think you need to root to do this, since rooting will trigger Knox.

Do you know where i can find the HK ROM?

As I know, you G9350 firmware is not compatible with G935F/FD.
Since one is using SD820 and other is 8890.

This model seems to be for HKG and China only.

Is not the same model but it's same processor though..both are sd820. So I don't think there is any difference on the hardware.

If i am right, i can use for the chinese version the HK version of stock ROM through ODIN without a root or an open bootloader?

I can confirm it for you. Mine is Chinese version 9350, and I flashed the HK official stock rom, and using it without any problem.
Just make sure, when you FIRST flash the HK stock rom from chinese stock rom, check the re-partition option in odin.

Any other tips on flashing the HK stock ROM? I assume the procedure is the same as flashing any other ROM on the S7?

Well I have been running the Russian 4.4.4 as O2 UK were taking forever and recently my phone has been playing up and I'm having to reboot it a few times a week to get SMS' and occasionally I make a call and nobody can hear me. I'm wondering if I just need to re-flash or if what you said might be the problem.

The problem is that you don't know what you are doing.
1. Download and unzip the file: HERE. Don't try to flash other coz won't work.
2. Turn off your device and go to DOWNLOAD mode.
3. Open ODIN and conect the device to your PC.
4. Flash the firmware like in the pic attached. Wait till ODIN tells you PASS in GREEN. It will reboot automatically.
5. DONE.

Seems to be for Italy for now. But i guess it should be possible to flash it via Odin.
But i really don't know if that's going to work.
I have a Italian csc on my phone but works great. But that's a custom rom and includes all kinds of csc. But also due to me buying it in germany it has a German csc and that worked great in austria. So i would give it a try in the case someone gets a fast download ?

Maybe somebody can try odin flash.
Other solution is to install some older italian stock rom (from sammobile) and then to update via smart switch...

New Galaxy S4 Random Reboot

Hi There..
I bought a used Galaxy S4 from a local market, I checked it on the shop it was working fine. But as soon as reached home It started rebooting. I went back to him and bargained but in vain.
So I don't know why is this issue, I tried Hard Reset, changing the battery, changing the firmware (now it is on the latest one), searching on the other forums and applied their solution, tried each & every suggestion available on the internet but the same issue :'( :crying:
It reboots only in stand-by mode, not when in use & LCD is on.
Any suggestion would highly be appreciated
P.S Before posting I doubled checked every thread on this site.

If it is randomly rebooting on a stock ROM, it could be a battery or motherboard issue. You have another battery to try?

yes I tried not only on one, but 3 battries but the issue is same..
How can I confirm if it is a hardware issue ?
There is really no way to confirm that it is a hardware problem unless you can swap out the motherboard for a know working motherboard without changing any other parts.

The most stable ROM for the s4 is a stock ROM which the OP has already tried. The OP has also tried different batteries.
Yes, it may be worth a try but flashing a custom ROM will trip knox and, if the vendor decides to take the phone back, tripping knox will inform the vendor that the phone has been flashed with non-official Samsung firmware.
Well if he could to take the phone back he probably would do that already, but it looks like he can't or he doesn't want to.
Probably there is no warranty on it anyway.
My advice according to what "audit13" said... take it back ASAP if you can of course.

This is for Tmobile variant I don't have the device you can try and flash to other Qualcomm model at your own risk!!
Thanks for it... But there is no oem unlocking menu in developer option..
How should we proceed with it..

Also curious about the lack of OEM in dev options?
Haven't run Samsung in a while and didn't care before but do now
Will Odin trigger Knox?
Can I flash the firmware only as this update seems to carry a bit of issue with it plus no remapping Bixby button?
Would like to flash my Verizon model to AT&T.
I've tried this 3 times to my Verizon model and it still shows as a Verizon model. Everything passes in ODIN and it installs just fine. But it's still Verizon. Is this definitely a T-Mobile Firmware?

I know this seems silly, but did you take out your Verizon SIM?
Not silly at all. I had no sim in. Should I put my T-Mobile SIM in and try again?

I flashed with the T-Mobile SIM in. Still no dice. I'm putting in the AP,BL,CP, and CSC only correct? Which CSC BTW? CSC_OYN or HOME_CSC_OYN? What about the user data file?

I've still yet to figure out how to flash the userdata file in Odin, no place for it. Ugh so frustrating
thank you! Just what I needed.
Does anyone have the Unlocked Firmware for the S8 yet?
Or will we have to wait until the Unlocked S8 phones are released before we can flash the unlocked firmware?
Thanks!
