Also curious about the lack of OEM in dev options?
Haven't run Samsung in a while and didn't care before but do now
Will Odin trigger Knox?
Can I flash the firmware only as this update seems to carry a bit of issue with it plus no remapping Bixby button?
Would like to flash my Verizon model to AT&T.
I've tried this 3 times to my Verizon model and it still shows as a Verizon model. Everything passes in ODIN and it installs just fine. But it's still Verizon. Is this definitely a T-Mobile Firmware?

Seems to be for Italy for now. But i guess it should be possible to flash it via Odin.
But i really don't know if that's going to work.
I have a Italian csc on my phone but works great. But that's a custom rom and includes all kinds of csc. But also due to me buying it in germany it has a German csc and that worked great in austria. So i would give it a try in the case someone gets a fast download ?

Maybe somebody can try odin flash.
Other solution is to install some older italian stock rom (from sammobile) and then to update via smart switch...

Hi There..
I bought a used Galaxy S4 from a local market, I checked it on the shop it was working fine. But as soon as reached home It started rebooting. I went back to him and bargained but in vain.
So I don't know why is this issue, I tried Hard Reset, changing the battery, changing the firmware (now it is on the latest one), searching on the other forums and applied their solution, tried each & every suggestion available on the internet but the same issue :'( :crying:
It reboots only in stand-by mode, not when in use & LCD is on.
Any suggestion would highly be appreciated
P.S Before posting I doubled checked every thread on this site.

If it is randomly rebooting on a stock ROM, it could be a battery or motherboard issue. You have another battery to try?

yes I tried not only on one, but 3 battries but the issue is same..
How can I confirm if it is a hardware issue ?
There is really no way to confirm that it is a hardware problem unless you can swap out the motherboard for a know working motherboard without changing any other parts.

The most stable ROM for the s4 is a stock ROM which the OP has already tried. The OP has also tried different batteries.
Yes, it may be worth a try but flashing a custom ROM will trip knox and, if the vendor decides to take the phone back, tripping knox will inform the vendor that the phone has been flashed with non-official Samsung firmware.
Well if he could to take the phone back he probably would do that already, but it looks like he can't or he doesn't want to.
Probably there is no warranty on it anyway.
My advice according to what "audit13" said... take it back ASAP if you can of course.

I was recently thinking to myself to flash Samsung's international firmware on my G935V. The phone's battery is terrible even in airplane mode and I think going to a non bloated ROM would be generally better. I did once have the international firmware but my phones screen started going weird and I flashed it back to the original. Of course it turned out to be a hardware issue and I got it replaced under warranty. Because this happened a day after I flashed the international firmware, I'm scared something similar might happen again. Do any of you guys run the international firmware on a daily basis on your Verizon edges? I was just wondering if it will be practical at all. Also for the one day I had the international firmware, the battery was definitely better without Verizon's crap on it. What do you guys think?
Been on the u firmware for a long time and I love it. However... If you're on Verizons most recent ota your bootloader is version 4 and you won't be able to flash the u firmware with out rooting it.

So what would happen if I tried flashing it through Odin like the old way?
Being on the U firmware the first time was great, but over time it's degraded for new. I'm only getting up to 2 hours of SOT by 50%, as opposed to 3. Not rooted either.
I'm thinking of going to do the PG5 Verizon firmware to see how things are.
Unfortunately it won't flash. The new bootloader will block what would potentionally be an older revision or a downgrade. Currently the u firmware bootloader is Rev. 2. Verizon managed to jump to Rev. 4 with its last update potentially screwing all stock users out of using a stock unlocked debloated firmware with free tethering.

I just flashed the new 935U version this morning to my verizon variant. I was getting sub-par battery life on the verizon software so I am going to try this out for a bit. Keeping it unrooted the only thing I can't install is verizon visual voicemail. I have voLTE working but there is no option for wifi or video calling as with the verizon version. Seems to be much faster overall though.
Been using U firmware since June and no issues. Have already gone through 2 updates on U without problems.

How do you know if the VoLTE is working? I installed the latest 935U firmware and i never saw the VoLTE option. I saw it only when i flashed the "Samsung_G935x_QC_Rooted_BOOT.TAR" via ODIN when i was trying to root. I also want to keep the latest 935U firmware and as far as possible avoid root.
I have the toggle in settings and confirmed it by placing a call.

Actually now that I think about it, it might work IF you have the US version of it. there will be some issues but it should work.
The internet (4GLTE) works great but to make calls in front of people is hard to connect. Can someone help me with this problem?
When I make a call it takes awhile before it rings. Then it switches from 4G LTE to Edge then back to 4G LTE once the call is done.

What you can do is flash an S7 edge CSC adapted to Exynos and flash it. Like in my case worked perfectly.

Do you happen to have the zip file still? The link in that thread for the ported CSC doesn't have any available mirrors.

Maybe is because is not compatible....can't be a Snapdragon CSC, and must be compatible to the exyno

Same here 935K on T-Mobile, flashed CSC and gets stuck in a bootloop.
I have the same version too(k) so what you have to do is: go to this website https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-7/development/utility-flashable-csc-selection-v1-0-t3450911
And download the second zip Wich are portable zips for Exynos, after you download it, flash it through TWRP

I wrote this out in a different thread. Hopefully it works for you.
You can flash a ported snapdragon to Exynos CSC to your phone once you are rooted.
The zip you need is CSCSelection_N7_Ported_V1.2.zip and you can download it from this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-7/development/utility-flashable-csc-selection-v1-0-t3450911
I flashed the T-mobile one and it works for me. I was only getting 4mb down and now I'm getting 40mb down and I'm in Phoenix.
Your speed also depends on the band you are on and congestion on that tower.
I hope this helps you out, because this phone is awesome!
I did get it. Thx, I had to 1st Odin flash the 935S firmware, phone is the 935k, with the K firmware I had LTE with TMO but would drop to 3g for calls. So I flashed the L firmware and than TWRP, but with the L aand flashing the CSC tweak, it would just bootloop. Finally I flashed the S firmware followed by TWRP, Magisk, and CSC tweak. Now I'm all good. Also debloated with titanium and changed boot ani and shut down to the International Note 7's. Absolutely perfect now.

I want to do this, but I don't know the proper files and versions and the CSC tweak seems hard. I wish there was a YouTube video on this. I would do it in a heartbeat. I have 2 note fe and a dead note 7 that wants revived.

Could you help with the steps to do this. I'm on t mobile and hate using my note fe on 3g. Would be awesome to finally have it work correctly. Any help is greatly appreciated. I've flashed with Odin back in the day . Never flashed with TWRP.
