At the time of flashing this ftf you should uncheck option " wipe data " from flash tool...
Currently I have a locked bootloader and Android 4.4.4 stock . I want to update to Lollipop and thereby make a full wipe . Can I back up my data before and after restore ? If so, how ?

Well I have been running the Russian 4.4.4 as O2 UK were taking forever and recently my phone has been playing up and I'm having to reboot it a few times a week to get SMS' and occasionally I make a call and nobody can hear me. I'm wondering if I just need to re-flash or if what you said might be the problem.

Go to the device info, tap 5 times on software version (eg. 14.2.A.1.136). Now in setting you will see developer options, where you can change this setting.

Google hasn't updated the feature to enable MSAA on OpenGL 3.0 on stock Android so it won't be making its way to non-Nexus devices either. And it's probably a good thing, too, since 4x MSAA on OpenGL 3.0 at this time might cause performance issues despite the powerful hardware.

I really hope KitKat comes soon. Even LG has started updating at least one device in at least one country on at least one carrier (U.S., T-Mobile), and while I'm sure Sony will, as always, be great at updating a couple of devices at the same time, I think they're still stupidly following the "announce flagship device first, then update older devices" strategy, which HTC and Samsung seem to have left behind.
Come on Sony, hurry up, and be sure to fix the RAM shortage problem that kills apps very quickly in the background (i can barely manage to have 3 apps in the background without the system killing them)!
I'm sure that we are waiting for the real thing. Not a problem for me if we get less bug KK update.
Can't wait though!

Rooting fail?
Updated (Generic Thailand). The only change I found is that Location toggle switch label is changed from "Lokasyon" (I think this word is in Tukish or Tagalog) to "ตำแหน่งที่ตั้ง"
Otherwise I haven't seen any change. Perhaps, It's just minor fixes due to language errors.

This is the second time I've tried installing a flashable .726 ROM (1st attempt was an HK version) - and both times I've ended up in a bootloop. I'm flashing the ROM from this thread over Existenz KK ROM( with SuperSU Root and NUT's dual recovery (2.8.3?)). I'm using TWRP & I do a full wipe/Factory reset before flashing.
My bootloader is locked.

No the battery is diabolical. Cell standby drain 80%+ everyday and tried everything to stop it. Battery was fine before
Just became available for me. Seems like you guys have it for a while now, so more or less problems than before? (On F3111 running 33.2.A.3.81)
Any advice appreciated. Thx.

What problems? Been using it for 3 months now running smooth and great no battery issue. And no issue after update either just a security update of android. Waiting for 7 to drop soon :crying:

What problem did you encounter? I plan on updating my phone to this firmware and then rooting it using @rrvuhpg method. Any advice?

It's not work! I tried. When you install SuperSU, Bootloot forever
Trying to flash this to my phone but Flashtool isn't working. Loads the firmware but does nothing once I plug my phone in. Any ideas?
edit: unknown sources and USB debugging are both definitely ticked. Something about the flash script I assume but not sure how to fix it.
I've not received this update yet. I'm an xperia XA F3111 user in UK on Virgin Mobile (T-Mobile)
