root + remove unneeded apps + greenify + xposed + little tweaks + performance governors + airplane mode + run when the phone is cold.
I think you can get same score or even better, especially because you used the thermal paste, which i havent.
Cheers/Pozz!

[KERNEL] Clemsyn Version 11 PimpMyGtab Underclocking control

Releasing my kernel ver10 which has NO OVERCLOCKING but has Undervolting. I'm pretty happy with the speed of Tegra 2 and I think there are a few advantages in keeping our speed in stock. Advantages IMO are as follows
1. Better Battery life
2. Less heat
3. Stability (unless it is too undervolted)
Update 4/25/11
Releasing PimpMyGtab and My latest kernel ver 11 with no Overclocking, just stock Speeds..Underclock using PimpMyGtab
Here is the link on how to use PimpMyGtab
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1018411
** If you get a scaling_governor error upon starting PimpmyGtab. It means you need to set your governor by going to Terminal and typing echo powersave > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor or by installing CPU Master and choosing powersave in governor.
BIG THANKS TO CPASJUSTE for the app and kernel codes.
BTW, If you like my work, don't hesitate to buy me a beer
If you ike PimpMyGtab, make sure you buy PimpMyCPU (Source) from the market by Cpasjuste
Thanks.
Nice. I'm not a fan of overclocking, however undervolting DOES interest me. As soon as I get an opportunity, I may try this out.
Curious, what's the stock voltage?
OK, LMK how it goes.

Well I tried it out real quick, it works well (haven't verified battery life changes), but I had some questions:
Is there anyway to set the voltages explicitly? SetCPU didn't work with it (couldn't even change the freq or scaling governor).
I forgot your kernel doesn't support mounting the internal SD over USB. Is that something that will be fixed soon (assuming it's actually broken)?
I won't have my tab for a few weeks, sending it in for warranty replacement. So I won't be able to do further testing.
Thanks for the great work!
Hello clemsyn,
Try it out and battery life is soooooo gooood ... lot better than the OC 1.5GHZ one, of cause it run slower, but it's where i came to ask, if you could release one with the same voltage but for 1.2Ghz (which i guess it's stock speed)?
Many thanks for your hard work

OK here it is...this is basically stock voltage with OC to 1.2 ghz.
Thanks. Right now I'm tryingout the 700-900. Quadrant dropped from 2350 to 2150 going from ver9 to the UV.
I've been using the original kernel posted in this thread for a little while now. It has some strange slowdowns when the tablet first boots (from being powered off), but after that it runs great. Have not had any freezes, so it seems stable. Quadrant scores are ~ 2300.

Thanks clemsys for this OC, but got FC every time i run Quadrant ... anyway back to version 10 uv for now
Hmmm, for some reason my pad won't run any of your Ginger undervolted offerings (can't get past my splash screen). But I'm very happy with Ginger9... Thanks!

While the quadrant is down a little, I can't really tell any difference in performance when using the tablet. If the battery life improves then I will stick with this one.
sorry if this has been answered before, but the undervolted
kernel still has cifs support?
(just to check, you need clockworkmod to install this, right?)

Yes it does and cwm is required to install
thanks soo much for this. I've been wanting to undervolt but the overclocking for me was a deal breaker. 1ghz is fast enough for any android app imo. Gonna try this soon!!!!!

Well that sucks

is the kindle fast enough?

do u consider the kindle to be fast?

enough yeah, but if you want it to be faster, we will need a new kernel with gpu and cpu overclocked, with sio scheluder and other governors, + updated drivers + more things, for now, there are some tweaks and apps that can make it very fast and power saver, greenefy, ram booster, or my tweaks (but my tweaks are for a better boot and a faster killing + other more exellent this, this is exellent with ram booster, i use it and i feel my tab is even faster, i use greenefy too, and other app called startup manager)
It is fast enough for normal users

[Q] Why is my N4 scored too low in AnTuTu?

Just bought the N4 today and test it in AnTuTu.
For the everything stock, it's scored about ~14000 (I've seen many other people with ~17000).
And now I've just rooted & changed the rom to PA 3.15 (16 Apr) and franco kernel Milestone 1 and the score is ~16000 (What I've seen is ~21000)
Is it normal (according to what I've seen, it's not). And what shoud I do then?
Thanks
My latest score are:
CPU: 5192
RAM: 3483
GPU: 8202
I/O: 900
** Just saw CPU float-point scored just 947, so what's wrong
I didn't do anything apart from installing the rom and kernel.
another pointless thread!
Is your phone lagging? Do you observe any performance issues?
If not, why do you care what score you get?
Just curious because other people get the score I mentioned above but for me it's not like others.

you get higher antutu scores if you run a bionic/krait optimized rom. if not, your scores are normal.

i do not know, i do not run paranoid. im strictly on rasbean jelly
it also can be that you are benching wrong or that you are hitting the thermal throttle. thermal throttle can be disabled. if you do hit thermal throttle, it automatically lowers your cpu speed until the device has cooled down.

Of course I do not care what these benchmarks will be, but I just curios that my benchmarks are different from others. That's it
I will post the result again when I think my phone is cooled down. Thanks again
Yeah pa is optimised. Try flashing a reset kernel, to get back to stock kernel which is needed after using a Franco kernel.
Test it on antutu with stock kernel just to see what you score.
Stock kernel+pa should get you a 20000+ score.
Go from there.

You've probably found it by now, but if not check the kernel threads, most have a reset kernel to return to stock kernel.
Benchmarks don't really get the accurate scores so it is not showing the true score of the device.
Sent from my Nexus 4
I only get about 17k on pa with Franco.
I have only got >20k by oc to 1.8 GHz but there is no point. Phone is lighting fast at 1.5
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
I get between 20000 and 21000 on a few roms with no overclocking. You might be getting lower scores because you have apps running, clear out your recents. Your phone might also be running at a high temperature (can cause performance issues).

Undervolt and raise battery thermal limits in etc/thermals.conf file is about all you can do software wise apart from turning off thermal protection completely.
su(press enter)
echo N > /sys/module/msm_thermal/parameters/enabled(press enter)
in a terminal emulater. this disables thermal throttle. to re enable, use a Y instead of an N or just reboot.

G3 Geekbench Benchmark

Thought I would start a thread for the Geekbench Benchmark as I could find one. I'd be interested to see your scores as it's so varied. It used to be 899 on a stock root phone and recently I'm only getting 500 but when I switch governor to performance and close all apps I got this . Alot better then the 39000 on antutu comparing it to the other phones.
I Have used the following mods and tweaks on my D855
Rin Kernal with 3C Tuner Pro available here

Version 2 of Razz1's Speed Script from here

The Modified to 80° C Thermal mod from here

Interesting. What do u mean with " i switch governor to performance " how you do that?

Nice work . AFAIK Your D850 does have less app and stuff bogging it down compared to my D855 so its a good single score . Dunno how i got that Multi core score must have been a fluke.
So what mods did you use

LOL what a shame ? My g3 sucks
It's not the worse I've seen remember to kill everything pretty much not needed to run. With interactive (default) governor I only get 500 on GB and 24000 on antutu so what are you running on? Just to add insult to injury I just got this in carbon with no effort

I've put my g3 in the freezer (don't try that at home kids I play with LN2 and Ive wrapped my g3 in Dry Ice but it's always the benchmark after the one in the cold run that is the best. My g3 cpu went down to 10C. I just run the 80c mod in the op but with temps like this I don't need it

I won.

What rom are you using? and what kernel and tweaks did you do? Thats amazing
I've got multirom, but the benchmark was on blisspop with 777 kernel. And I just set the CPU and GPU to the max speed. I've also added a few thermal pads to the CPU to try and keep temps down.
