G3 Geekbench Benchmark - G3 General

Thought I would start a thread for the Geekbench Benchmark as I could find one. I'd be interested to see your scores as it's so varied. It used to be 899 on a stock root phone and recently I'm only getting 500 but when I switch governor to performance and close all apps I got this . Alot better then the 39000 on antutu comparing it to the other phones.
I Have used the following mods and tweaks on my D855
Rin Kernal with 3C Tuner Pro available here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/orig-development/kernel-rin-kernel-1-0-t2847581

Version 2 of Razz1's Speed Script from here

The Modified to 80° C Thermal mod from here

Interesting. What do u mean with " i switch governor to performance " how you do that?

Nice work . AFAIK Your D850 does have less app and stuff bogging it down compared to my D855 so its a good single score . Dunno how i got that Multi core score must have been a fluke.
So what mods did you use

I turn off auto sync, turn off location. Disabled at&t bloatware.

LOL what a shame ? My g3 sucks

It's not the worse I've seen remember to kill everything pretty much not needed to run. With interactive (default) governor I only get 500 on GB and 24000 on antutu so what are you running on? Just to add insult to injury I just got this in carbon with no effort

I have tested lollipop and you do get a bit better but nothing beats ASOP roms like CM and such.. I've always like them for battery and performance

I used clean master to close all apps running and clean task manager ... I started the test with 54% to ram free. ? sorry!

How do you explain the difference between my stock rooted interactive and your interactive.

AndroidnowHD 3.2 + pimpmyrom tweaks+ CTT by roshbr :')
I never understood concrpt of thermal imitigation and stuff..it says thermal imitigation off:false , i.e. its on by default....

I've put my g3 in the freezer (don't try that at home kids I play with LN2 and Ive wrapped my g3 in Dry Ice but it's always the benchmark after the one in the cold run that is the best. My g3 cpu went down to 10C. I just run the 80c mod in the op but with temps like this I don't need it

[Q] Why is my N4 scored too low in AnTuTu?

Just bought the N4 today and test it in AnTuTu.
For the everything stock, it's scored about ~14000 (I've seen many other people with ~17000).
And now I've just rooted & changed the rom to PA 3.15 (16 Apr) and franco kernel Milestone 1 and the score is ~16000 (What I've seen is ~21000)
Is it normal (according to what I've seen, it's not). And what shoud I do then?
Thanks
My latest score are:
CPU: 5192
RAM: 3483
GPU: 8202
I/O: 900
** Just saw CPU float-point scored just 947, so what's wrong
I didn't do anything apart from installing the rom and kernel.
another pointless thread!
Is your phone lagging? Do you observe any performance issues?
If not, why do you care what score you get?
Just curious because other people get the score I mentioned above but for me it's not like others.

you get higher antutu scores if you run a bionic/krait optimized rom. if not, your scores are normal.

it also can be that you are benching wrong or that you are hitting the thermal throttle. thermal throttle can be disabled. if you do hit thermal throttle, it automatically lowers your cpu speed until the device has cooled down.

I will post the result again when I think my phone is cooled down. Thanks again
Yeah pa is optimised. Try flashing a reset kernel, to get back to stock kernel which is needed after using a Franco kernel.
Test it on antutu with stock kernel just to see what you score.
Stock kernel+pa should get you a 20000+ score.
Go from there.

You've probably found it by now, but if not check the kernel threads, most have a reset kernel to return to stock kernel.
Benchmarks don't really get the accurate scores so it is not showing the true score of the device.
Sent from my Nexus 4
I only get about 17k on pa with Franco.
I have only got >20k by oc to 1.8 GHz but there is no point. Phone is lighting fast at 1.5
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
I get between 20000 and 21000 on a few roms with no overclocking. You might be getting lower scores because you have apps running, clear out your recents. Your phone might also be running at a high temperature (can cause performance issues).

Undervolt and raise battery thermal limits in etc/thermals.conf file is about all you can do software wise apart from turning off thermal protection completely.
su(press enter)
echo N > /sys/module/msm_thermal/parameters/enabled(press enter)
in a terminal emulater. this disables thermal throttle. to re enable, use a Y instead of an N or just reboot.

LG G2 GPU benchmarks

I was wondering why the LG G2 scored lower in pretty much every single GPU benchmark compared to other phones with the Snapdragon 800? Is it something related to the GRAM?

I believe LG has made less memory available to the GPU than others, i.e. Sony. There maybe a mod at some point to change the balance, as this is probably a kernel thing.
since we are on the subject of kernels... if anyone cares to chime in... or point me to the right direction..
I did some experimenting today with stock and woots kernel..diff govs, temps, settings, etc..
The best speeds out of antutu I could get was 28500 with woots kernel... But yet I see everywhere with these phones getting 30-35000+...
What am I missing?
I ended up using interactive for my gov, bumped up the temps to 90/100 just to get 28000+
Using stock kernel and woots kernel using stock settings and on multiple roms I could never break 27500+ mostly got in the 22000 range.. I would also wait 15 minutes per benchmark to ensure my phone was cool...
Using carbon rom + woots kernel with interactive goc and temps bumped 90/100 can I only get 28000+...
kinda feeling bamboozeled! Did antutu put out an update that makes these achieve less benchmark numbers?

Huh are you running CM? if so that can be your problem... on my stock Telus G2 i get 35-36k antutu constantly. Any LG ROM gets me between 35-37k. With Woots kernel and stock frequencies for CPU and GPU (GPU overclock reduces benchmarks quite a lot) i still get between 35-37k for my phone
edit: just saw you are running carbon ROM... that is most likely the problem... I used another CM based ROM and could not go past 30k

I guess you are running Kitkat on your G2 right?
Idk what they did with this Stupid KK Update because it made the Phone Significantly slower
I got over 36k Antutu Score on the unmodded Out of the Box JB 4.2.2 rom and the Phone was Extremely Snappy and everything ran Smooth
Now since i use KK Roms (Stock,Modded ones etc) I get Lags nearly Everywhere
Even with a OC to 2,8ghz only up to 29k Antutu scores Blablabla
UI Redraws are also present..
The most annoying thing is that i get lags especially in games (Real Racing 3 and even some 2D games)
My D802 doesnt gets Hot or something but it really makes me Mad
EDIT:
I dont blame the Great Dev's i am sure LG messed up something

53000 would be quite a challenge I believe. Here is my one last attempt with stock.
Getting closer to 53000 but I think an extra 800 points without OC will be a bit of a stretch.

Depends on many factors.... a few are:
1. Devices vary and asv_group (explanation in SkyHigh kernel synapse). Mine is a mediocre 4.
2. Starting temp
3. Running background processes
4. OC can lead to earlier throttle and hence reduced benchmark.
5. Available RAM

5. My god even after debloating and freezing all unwanted proccesses the phone still requires 2GB or ram to run at all times and at max I only have less than 1GB of free ram. I feel like this is taking a hit on the scores too. My G3 I had it down to 1.3GB used RAM so effectively had about 1.7GB free at max. What could be taking up so much RAM at all times.

I had the G3 Cat.6 with SD805 and noticed very disappointing scores stock. The G3 also had very aggressive thermal throttling and the SD805 was a very hot running chip.
Once I got everything debloated and thermal turned off it hit almost 48,000.
I know that the S5 prime had better scores than the Cat.6 due to much better thermals and would expect the same out of the Note.
Try rooting and debloating your phone if you want to experiment and disable DVFS for better scores.
I also place my phone by an open window as it's -10 degrees Celsius now and low temp gives great boosts to your scores.

I've been rooted for almost a month now, but haven't gotten around to debloating since there isn't a need to. My phone flies. The only hesitation I see is if I actually use the menu key to see the task manager. Since I have the manager on my Edge bar I rarely even do that.
Debloating might be in my future just to see if I can finally reach that 6 hour screen on time. This phone has very few wake locks which has surprised me.

Hi,
arter97 lastest beta kernel with Interactive governor tweaked a bit for better performance (enforced_mode set to 1, min_sample_time, go_hispeed_load and hispeed_freq tweaked) and some VM tweaks (dirty_ratio, dirty_background_ratio, dirty_expire_centisecs, dirty_writeback_centisecs and swapiness), no undervolt.
CPU temp at 25 °C at the beginning...
SkyHigh 2.7 kernel, some tweaks like above without overclock / underclock:
I use the previous Antutu version to compare with my other scores when I test some tweaks (as a baseline), it would be time to update Antutu now

Guys i m sorry to ruin your parade...but any score in red is not a valid one...sorry. When you will get a green score, post that. I could never get above 100.000 green score (max was around 97-98.000 with skyhigh kernel)..the only kernel that gets me over 110.000 is arter kernel and that is known already to have a bug in the UX Section that causes that big score...
score
Every time I'm getting around 80k on stock, which is slightly low i think.
When comparing the stats to the Note 5 at the ranking table its all the same with exception of the 3d score (garden) with my device always getting around 8.3k compared to 12.112 from Note 5 result from the ranking table.
Why do you think my 3d score is low?
Also I don't know if it's related but I have some sort of lag when scrolling through Facebook, YouTube etc...
