123456 and 7890 try these.
MCU Codes
These codes can be entered when accessing the Factory Settings menu item
• m123456 - opens Factory Settings in "super" mode -- makes another option visible; Launcher type (not sure what they mean though)
• adbon - seems to enable adb on the usb port. Might enable it for all usb ports (haven't tested it yet)
• *#hct#root# - enables persistent root adb on usb port(s) (might be an easy way to root roms, will have to do some testing)
• adboff - disables adb on usb port(s)
• keject - simulates the eject button for the DVD drive
• kpower - simulates the power button
• hcttouch - displays information about the touchscreen/calibration?
• hctbtup - some sort of bluetooth update mechanism?
• hctbtte0-9,0-9,0-9 - some sort of bluetooth testing code -- after the hctbtte there should be 3 digits, ranging from 0-9. Haven't looked into their meaning.
I hope this'd help

Under Settings/Developer options you can change your device hostname.
If you can't find the Developer options menu, you have to unlock it, go to About Tablet menu and tab on Build Number 7 times.

I believe you have to be rooted to do this on the nexus 7 this way, as i am unrooted and it doesnt show in my developer options either. However you can do it using terminal emulator as well but that might also require root. Really should be a stock option, having to root just to change a hostname is a little ridiculous.
Okay just checked
> su
> getprop net.hostname
> setprop net.hostname <new_hostname>
So yea it would require su, unless someone can post a way to do this easily you might be SOL.
hostname gets reset on reboot
hi, I am using that set of commands to change the hostname but I have noted that it's getting reset on reboot. What could be the problem?

I can't open the quick settings menu from the notification center and can't really do much. Only interact with already installed apps. I can't hange the user, I can't enable developer options I can't save the files via USB and neither does adb work.

Greetings!
Browsing the forum I have figured that currently(January 2020) no custom ROM is available for PX6 which came with STM32 MCU.
As probably many owner have noticed the stock ROM has many flaw and severe deficiency/complete lack of customization.
As far as I know, sadly no Hal9k ROM development is planned for STM32 model currently. :crying:
I think many head unit is already or being shipped with STM32 MCU and I have a feeling that many hobby hacker (who can only install a ROM) including myself would be grateful having a sophisticated ROM for this model too.
I would like to ask owners as well to use this thread and express if they are also in need for a custom ROM.
Thank you! :highfive:
I need rom
OS Version: KC1E0101-PA1-1.1.4.3.1-BLINK161-20191115-701F

Hello to all!
After some days owning one of our favorite HU I gathered some info I want to share with yall. :cyclops:
Due to some random system reboot during normal operation I have also conducted investigation on heat dissipation. Simply put, these HUs has bad heat dissipation from factory.
The system during an AnTuTu CPU stress test hit 80 C which is not healthy for the unit and it can cause thermal shutdown as thermal throttling is not sufficiently implemented.
I added a medium sized heat sink and that reduced peak temperature to around 50 C.
To make the system cool on hot summer days I added also a 30x30x10 fan. With fan the peak reduced to around 40 C.
After the modification my HU is running stable, I was not able to make it reboot so far no matter how hard I use it.
P.S.: If any1 has info on the 4-pin connector next to the big white connector please let me know!
Update: added images with cooling added.
.
Hi everyone!
This post is for those who wants to know their device as much as possible or has issue with bluetooth / display or just curious or wants to update OS in future.
There is a hidden "Factory Settings" to access it you need to press: "Kernel Version" > "OS Version" > "Kernel V." > "OS V." > "Kernel V." > "OS V.".
Some settings in there are very useful actually.
For those who has fluctuating grey color at certain brightness I recommend "Factory Settings" > "Other" > "Panel learning" > "Vcom regulate value".
For those who want to make colors of the display simply nicer I recommend "Factory Settings" > "Other" > "Display Color Adjust Settings".
:good:
thanx for the information. do you possibly have the mcu file for this device. I need to fix mine , I flashed a wrong mcu file and now the screen is twisted and mirrored. Thanx in advance

Hi Simbac,
before you flash any file, if your display is still responsive try "Factory Settings" > "Other" > "Touch learning" > "Step1: Screen learning".
If it does not help, you can find my config files:
One exported from main factory setting menu (android_config1579383003862..1) original file extension is ".1" but I was only able to upload to XDA as .img so please rename it if you want to use it
One from panel learning menu (BHDPanelConfig.img)
And one from touch learning menu (ts_config.xml)
After copy them to a FAT32 formatted USB drive you plug into your HU the updater app should launch automatically. My files are for "CONFIG" and "PNL" (panel) and "TS" (touch).

If your device does not get pass the bootloader so cannot get into the Android OS then you cannot use this method to update ROM. Did you enable ADB via TCP?

You can find my video at youtube.com/watch?v=sDxmmYL-nIg
It can boot to android, because I can saw that my phone can connect to the HU's bluetooth. I already checked the wifi but it seems that HU don't connect to access point.
have you tried to enter recovery following this procedure? (remove spaces) https: //drive.google.com /open?id= 16CfginUDta01NfMxt7B3a8g0CyniUnit

You can try an "Erase with reset button". Note that all of your data and apps will be lost if it completes erasing and android should be in factory state after this erase.
Check my video here: link
Timing of presses is not exactly known neither the number of presses. I was able to start erase with most success by pressing 1+4 times. You know if you did right if white screen appears for a short time (at least on my STM32 HU).
Good luck!

If you enter recovery menu by reset button you can also navigate and select options there with the same button.
If you enter recovery menu by typing to terminal: "reboot recovery" than can you use the button again for navigation and select?

I see from your screenshot that you have the LESS ugly version of the UI than my recent unit. The radio app on mine is especially difficult to use. I'm been looking for the radio apk from a unit like yours. I was able to extract mine (it was called com.hzbhd.radio.apk) using "APK Extractor" from the Play Store. If you would post your radio APK I'd love to see if it would run on mine. Thanks!

No, using "reboot recovery" you have to use an external usb keyboard to navigate and select and the selectable option is different (example ther's not USB option, only SD) , but I don't know why

Thanks. I'll try to do it tonight when I get home from work.
Having an issue with hiding the status bar, no option in any of the settings menu or system menu. The system is not rooted so using most apps to enable immersive mode is non-functional, they also have apps that require no root but the keyboard won't work or it only hides the status bar for the home screen and no all the apps also I have no idea how to adb into the head unit. Wanted to see if anyone here had any clue on a fix or have had the dame issues and has a workaround. Thank you in advance.

You're sure you have a Junsun V1 Pro?
Install https://m.apkpure.com/de/quickshortcutmaker/com.sika524.android.quickshortcut

Scroll through the list and try to find MainUI. Expand it, click on the first activity and press "try". Do the same with the other activities. Some activities may be known (e.g. Radio, Bluetooth,...) but one could be what you're looking for.
The description of the activity you're looking for needs not to be "car infotainment" because this is just its label in the settings app.
