Stuck in "Firmware Update" (NEW) - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi guys,
I wantet to change from the ressurection remix rom (lp) to the stock rom via a kdz file.
now my phone got stucked in the window "fimeware update"
it says " do not unpulg the usb connection until the process is complete" and "0%"
long pressing the power button to reboot or removing the battery will not help. it will only boot the phone into the " fimeware update" window(the Download mode window is not shown) again.
lg flashtool doesn't recognize it. but when i plug it into my computer its shown in the device manager section as "lge android phone". so there is maybe hope for me.
thank you so much for the support!

thanks for the answer. i followed your instructions but that doesn´t changed the situation. the phone still shows the "fimeware update" window.
the "download mode" window as we know comes before the "fimeware update" window but now it doesnt come anymore.
do you know how i can get a new working rom on the phone now ? :/

For those having issues booting into recovery mode...

I too, had issues at first. I fixed them by a few easy steps.. (well, not so easy to figure out at first.)
1) Uninstall your device drivers for your phone. You can do this in Windows 7 by plugging your device in and going to Control Panel > Hardware > Devices and uninstalling the SAMSUNG_android. Once this is done, unplug it and plug it back in. An attempt to install the drivers will be made and the ADB one will most likely fail. Double click the SAMSUNG_android to bring up the properties for this device. Click the 'Hardware' tab. Click the 'SAMSUNG Android Composite ADB Interface' and hit properties. Then Driver > 'Update Driver'. Then select 'Browse my computer for driver software'
2) Download the drivers here: mediafire.com/?t9koyznu5ryygyt and extract them somewhere. Point the driver installation wizard to these drivers with 'Browse'. Hit 'Next.
Congratulations, your drivers are installed! Have fun rooting your Vibrant. I recommend the one click rooter, although it is just a copy of the update.zip and reboot function.
I guess I'm confused. What do drivers have to do with booting into recovery?
Power off
Hold Down Vol +/- and power at the same time.
Walla you have Recovery
----------------------------------------------------------
If your talking about Download Mode
Install your drivers
Plug in USB to PC, but not phone
Turn off Phone
Hold Vol +/-
Plug in USB to phone
Hold +/- for a second
Release Vol
Walla you are in Download Mode
That wasn't exactly working for me and others. I couldn't get into that mode by holding the buttons. The method I listed above managed to get me into recovery via adb, however.

When you connect the phone to the PC, does it loader any driver? Use Device Manager to check...
If it loads the QLoader driver, use the "Emergency Mode" in GNQC 1.6.9.0.
If no driver loads, disconnect the phone and press the power button for 30 secs and try again.
If this also fails, wait a day for the device discharge, press the power button for 30 secs and try again...
Let me know how it went...

Try to flash again.
If that messege apears again just press the power button of the phone for a few secs without disconnecting from the PC.
The download should begin. If not change the Mode to Normal and press the power button for a few secs.
Dont disconnect the phone from the PC, cause that messege apears because the GNQC is unable to confirm the state of the phone. By pressing the power button you are refreshing the connecting and the GNQC should detect the state of the phone.
Also you can try this using another USB port on your PC.

MSM8994DownloadTool.exe Won't Work For My OPT

MSM8994DownloadTool.exe Won't Work For Me
I need help.
My phone is stuck on the fastboot screen, meaning I can only Power if off and into Fastboot (using the Vol+ and Power buttons). Other than that, it does nothing. I cannot get into the OS at all, which means I can't enable USB debugging or anything. Fastboot recognizes my device, which is a OnePlus Two), but ADB won't, nor will my Windows 7 PC as a USB device. With that in mind, I followed all the steps in the posted guide. I get all the way to running the "MSM8994DownloadTool.exe" and nothing happens. Its as if the Recovery Tool doesn't even see my device. So, I'm really stuck and don't know what to do.
For clarity, here's exactly what I did (see below). I get all the way to Section B, Step 2 and that's where it breaks down. There's no different line, and no process ever runs, even after waiting 30 minutes. I ran the tool as Administrator, but still no luck. Can anyone help me? Just as additional info, my Mac also does not recognize my OPT as a USB device. Also, I tried my backup USB-C cable from the OEM, with the same results.
A. Install the Certificates followed by the Qualcomm drivers.
1. Restart your computer with Driver Signature Enforcement Disabled (Advanced Startup) Let me Google it For You
2. Open the folder "qc" and install the Test Certificate in the following Stores: Trusted Root, Trusted Publisher, Third-Party Root and Personal
3. Run the Qualcomm setup wizard (also located in the qc folder)
4. When completed, restart your PC again with Driver Signature Enforcement Disabled (Advanced Startup)
5. Turn off your phone and disconnect the USB cable from the phone.
6. Hold vol-up and plug in the USB(Do not press Power button). The screen will stay black but you will hear a sound from windows that a device is attached.
7. The driver should now automatically install. If not, go to device manager and right click "Unknown Device" and click "Update Driver" Search up the QC folder and press ok. The driver should now install. (Got the RELINK issue? Take a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...1&postcount=46)
B. Flashing Process
1. Open the OnePlus2_14_A.11_151211 folder and open "MSM8994DownloadTool.exe"
2. Look if your phone is detected in the list. everything is Chinese but you will see one row with different chinese text from the rest within the list. If not, recheck if driver is detected in Device Manager (If not, go back to Step A - Line 4).
I think you have a bad download, try downloading it again and download the 3.0.2 version if you can.

I've bricked my op2 a while ago. I'm a real noob so I don't know if it will work but have you installed the adb mac drivers or try "fastboot continue" while in fastboot. Just don't give up and keep try. You have absolutely nothing to lose.

Thank you very much. I have the latest version, but still nothing. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but my OPT wasn't being recognized as a USB device even before I screwed up. I'm guessing it is just hard-bricked since I have no other way (besides USB) to interface with the device.

Try connecting your OPT to some other guys pc and see, it may be because of your pc's end that its not getting connected.
And if the same thing happens with a different pc then yeah your usb port or something is fried. Try going to service center if the same thing happens again.

- You have it Your phone is switched off
(Let it reboot once after that don't leave the power button and after that led will get off for small time this is the time you have to remove finger from power button this is tricky )

-after you have switched off your phone press volume up and down together and with holding buttons connect the phone to USB and you will see the fastboot mode
3. Unlock your phone
-Remember the unlock bootloader file in your email re download it and unlock your bootloader again(no need to redownload if you already have it the file is permanent)

- go to fastboot and flash the TWRP and you will see that your data on internal storage is present so flash any ROM and you will see your data
Update: Deep flash using Deep Flash Cable And Procedure to make a deep flash cable
Cut the outer rubber and metal covering of usb cable.
Strip a small portion of the black and green wires carefully preferably using a needle to avoid the copper wires to be torn.
Then plug the usb jack into the pc and phone and keep mi flash tool open.
Then touch both the wires(shortcircuit the green and black) using a needle or blunt edge of knief for about 4-5 sec and then remove.
The phone must be in 9008 mode now with COM port open in miflash tool
Now Flash To Your Hearts Content!
After flashing carefully cover the cut portion by putting the rubber casing first and then covering with electrical tape.
So be careful not to tear anything you just need to precisely cut the covering (around 0.5 cm) in the shape of a ring
Happy Flashing!
I think someone has made this guide already.
I see.

My hard brick z2 is not even coming up as 900E. Basically computer doesn't detect and no changes in device manager either. Please confirm what to do.
I have tried pressing buttons told by many others and in various other forums. It doesn't work. Does deep flash cable method work even if the phone is not detecting in 900E mode?
You have to boot in proper edl mode...for edl mode hold volume up button 15 second and immediately click power button for .5 sec and attach data cable to phone which is connected to pc and & immediately prees again power button. all while procees alway hold volume up button....
Zuk Z2 Pro Stuck in EDL HS-USB 9008 Port and automatically connecting and disconnect
Hi,
My Zuk Z2 Pro is stuck in EDL 9008 Port. Phone is totally bricked and no sound, no light, no vibration. When i connect with the computer, phone is connecting on HS USB 9008 port and get disconnected after 20-22 seconds and again automatically connected with in half second time.
I am facing this issue after flashing a ZUI 1.9 by using a QPAST/QFIL application. I think i have made stupid mistake by flashing a phone with "ERASE ALL BEFORE DOWNLOAD" option.
I have tried every scenario to get stable this 9008 port but no luck. Since last 5 days i am studying forums and applying every kind of solution but same result.
I am writing this post with high expectations and hope someone will take notice and help me to get rid of this problem.
I can pay through paypal if someone wants to provide professional services to resolve this matter
I will appreciate if someone have any idea and can help me. Thanks
Can someine please help me with this weird situation? Device got disconnected while flashing via qfil. Now no zuk logo nothing. Phone vibrates every 30 sec that's it. Wont even gets recognized by my laptop(no 9008 or 900e port!)

Never mind. Got my laptop to recognise it and flashed successfully.
Don't know what made it to change its mind!?
What happened?
- was trying to flash and cable got disconnected by accident.
- my phone started to vibrate and blink at the same time for every 30 sec(no zuk logo nothing) and can't seems to be stopped.
- laptop doesn't seems to recognise when device gets connected (no 900e or 9008 port shows up at device manager)
What I did?
- Reinstalled my windows (no problem for me as I only keep system files on partition c)
- Disabled driver verification (windows 10 thing)
- Installed zuk driver, adb , mi tools inside partition c(all inside a folder called zuk)
- used cable that came with phone instead of 3rd party to deep flash

Okay fine, somebody suggested me to flash stock ROM via qpst method, because I was having battery issues, the flashing process stopped, and I forgot to untick clean all and lock, this left my phone with a screen saying, 'unable to boot'. PC is not detecting my device now, but earlier I unlocked bootloader and flashed tw recovery, but I wasn't able to boot to it, and on qpst, my phone is detected as Diagnostic Port 900E.

Now, again go back to the main Settings > Developer options > USB Debugging and Enable it.
Connect your smartphone with your PC via a USB cable.
Open Command Window by the press and hold Shift Key + right-click of your Mouse.

my phone is bricked while flashing stock rom via fastboot
so unable to boot to recovery or bootloader
To begin with, power off your device. If you can’t do so, then you will have to wait until the battery completely drains out.
Now connect one end of the USB cable to your PC, but don’t attach the other end to the device.
Press and hold the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons together for a few seconds.
Now connect the other end of the device to the USB cable.
Your device will now be recognized as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008. You may now flash the device-specific firmware to unbrick it.
Even you have a black screen , PC does recognize your phone . Use only a USB 2.0 port . Verify if Qualcomm USB Driver have been installed on Windows .
