S7 edge latest firmware drop calls - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

I have just recently updated my g935f to the latest firmware, pd1 from pd6, and I noticed that most of my calls get dropped. This is something that I have not encountered before the update. Would this be an update issue? My phone is rooted BTW.
It was noted that when I flash TRWP, it showed some red lines; nonetheless, the root was a success.

Will the Chinese Version of the OP2 w/ OxygenOS installed receive ota updates?

As the title says, will it receive OTA's through the system update function and not manually flashing it? E.g. 2.0.0 > 2.0.1 > 2.0.2.
Mine did.

Thanks, just got worried. Did you install OxygenOS Using the tuto from gizchina? And how's Battery life? SOT and standby I mean
I got mine from gearbest if this helps and mine would not even when I installed the full rom. In the end I installed 2.0.2 full rom and then I got a mini OTA but then I had loads of bloatware so decided to follow a video on YouTube with all the files in his description to root my OP2 and that made it run without any Chinese bloat

mine juz fine, after install 2.0, a few minutes later i received update 2.0.2 and simply update it via OTA.
I am from Southeast Asia and ideally is A2003 version for 1+2, but to get invite is so hard and I am not sure what was my queue number.
If I am getting A2001 (China Version) and flash with Oxygen OS.
What is the other differences/impact since the OTA able to update and lost few LTE bands?
Thank you.

No OTA update for S4

Can anyone help please, I unlocked my O2 S4 with an unlock code from O2, I then flashed the standard BTU firmware to KitKat to get rid of the O2 branding and make it standard.
When I check for OTA updates it says I already have the latest firmware installed.
When I connect to Kies3, I get the same message, I have the latest firmware.
No message to say its been modified or anything like that, just that I already have the latest firmware.
it currently has: I9505XXUFNB9_I9505BTUFNE1
Not rooted and nothing flashed except official KitKat.

Download latest BTU firmware from SamMobile or something else and flash over your current firmware with Odin. I've done the same thing on my friend's i9500 using XSE firmware (because update via OTA takes 1GB+) and everything goes fine.

Many thanks for the reply, I just did a factory reset and it appears to have started the upgrade, thanks for the help though.

how do i update my firmware if its not yet available for my region?

hi there i am using the dual sim version of the s7 edge from singapore but i am still waiting for the latest firmware update. been itching to see if it makes a difference to the battery life i am current experiencing on my phone. still stuck on PB3 and wishing i had the PD1 firmware.
i have done a bit of reading around and all i found was that there are other countries with the newest firmware
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G935FD/
the CSCs all read the same G935FODD1APBA so i am unsure if it will be safe for me to install it. will it affect my modem?
also i am quite confused between using ODIN to flash vs flashfire, are they both the same and will allow me to update the firmware without a wipe?

Update to Nougat if using cricket

Hi all. Wanting to update to Nougat on my 635A. I'm using a cricket Sim so it tells me that 6.0.1 is up to date. Was using cricket on the Tmo FW and got Nougat just fine, but had to send the unit in to Samsung for screen repair so I flashed it back to stock before doing that. Do I need to Odin something to get it grab and download the update OTA? Looks like my build # is API2? Thanks!
I'm guessing I need to Odin to APK1? Reason I'm asking is I was using my cricket Sim while on the Tmobile FW and it pushed the nougat update just fine.

S7 edge doesn't find any updates

Hello, my galaxy s7 edge SM-G935F doesn't find any software updates since I manually upgraded the firmware via ODIN from mashmello 6.0 to nougat 7.0. The phone is Vodafone branded and not rooted. See the screenshot for current SW info. Smart switch also doesn't find updates. What should I have to do in order the phone can automatically upgrade?
Thanks in advance for your solutions
Do a factory reset and then try
