CAMERA Not working - YU Yureka Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Even after manual update, Camera is not working in YU YUREKA.
Even Camera icon is also lost.
I tried third party apps also showing same error like "Can't connect to the camera."\
Please help me regarding this issue.

Had faced the same issue recently but fortunately I found the solution n worked...
1. Power off your mobile
2. Remove the back cover.
3. Apply gentle pressure using your fingers on and around the camera ( entire upper side for better results)
4. Power on.

Car Home starting at random

Hi @ll,
I have the following problem with my DHD (Cyanogenmod 7.2). Since a few weeks ago the "Car Mode" App is starting many a time and ususally even restarts again after closing it. After having searched in several discussion boards I found out that the signal for the Car Mode getting started is emitted by some kind of magnetic sensor or the like, suited to the car charching cradle. Though because I have none, I assume that there's a loose contact or something at that magnetic sensor, but to fix it, I initially have to know where it is. Can someone help me please?
Thanks in advance.
Try to clean your usb port. A friend had the same problem and that helped.

Fix permission in recovery..maybe it should help...

Thank you, I tried both methods. Now I'm waiting for it to happen again or not.
What did the "Fix permissions" function actually do?
So it helped?

Yea, seems as if one of your both suggestions has helped
Hello there.
I did the "fix permissions" but it didn't help.
How did you guys clean the USB port?
Regards,
F.
Just clean it with compressed air from a compressor and use contact spray if needed.
Reflash
i had the same problem with jellytime.... i just reflashed the rom again and it went away .... hope it helps...
sometimes car home starts to pop up when it came in contact with any magnetic thingy..
If Car Home is going off without being near anything magnetic then you may have a bug. It's a very easy fix. Root your phone and download a app called Bloat Freezer. That just freeze car home and every other piece of bloatware you will never use.

Also u can use app like :
"Dock No-op" or
One more app is there named "Do Nothing "whenever it pop up it just block that happening. Just seach this on play store. I hope might help.

I did all the thing read here and on other forums ( freez carhomeGoogle.apk , delete from system/app , full wipe format , reinstal rom , even downgrade to gb , and now i'm back to ics , cleaning the charging slot ) car home does'nt open but the icon on notification still appears and dissapears randomly and my screen goes on and off all the time )
sorry for my bad english
I had this issue and the only way to fix was to replace the micro-usb port as it kept coming back.
replacing the micro-usb port usally helps.
Against all rumors,
the CAR home is started if the right resistor values are applied between certain USB contacts. No magnetics or magic needed.
To get rid of the problem no magic is needed either:
Take a wooden toothpick and crush one tip until you have kind of flat brush of about 4mm length, but as flat as possible.
Then take this 'wooden brush' and scratch all dirt out of the usb port. Be carefull not to apply presure to the small contact bridge in the middle.
Other than the name suggests, please do not use your teeth to form this brush. Humidity and electronics are not so compatible...
Best way:
It is easy if you just brush out the dirt by going in, brush, out allways the same way, collecting the dust in one edge.
Try to collect the dust in one edge of the connector on the lower wide area corner.
Then push it out with the intact side of the toothpick.
Never try to use the intact tip in the small area above the connector bridge. It will break it.
After that, Car Panel should stay closed and your USB cable shouldn't fall off anymore.

[Q] Help regarding data recovery

Hello everyone!
I have a nexus 7 (the first one) and I have used it for the longest time I can remember.
Recently, while I was in the hospital, a nurse dropped it and bam, the screen shattered. The touchscreen works but the glass is gone.
I can use the bottom left corner of the screen but about 60% of the upper screen is non-responsive to touch thanks to the glass. I have a lot of photos, memos, etc, on the nexus that I would like to recover but thanks to the notorious problem of the MTP not being detectable, I simply cannot extract any of the valuable data. I used to use wifi transfer but since I cannot connect to wifi (Upper part of screen is non-responsive), I simply cannot transfer any data either.
I have tried to look for replacement glass panels but here in Korea, it seems nobody really uses Nexus' brand devices and I simply could not find an Asus center that could fix this.
Is there any other method that I can use to extract the data? Seems recovery is useless because I am simply shown a "No Command" with a dead android on top whenever I try. I would love to simply let my tablet die in peace but the memories on this device is simply too valuable to give up on. Any method is welcome.
Try a USB keyboard or mouse.

Or use Adb to transfer the files. That could work too hopefully.
Or Dropbox or similar. Tho, you need WiFi obviously.

[Q] Broken Screen/Digitizer. Need to create an update.zip

I dropped my S4 one time to many and the screen cracked, even in it's case . The crack has also broken the digitizer which means I can only use my hardware buttons. I found [email protected] and know I can use it to see/control the phone. Catch is that the device has to have given the PC ADB permission which I unfortunately didn't after my last reformat. I have a second S4 here and took the adb_keys file from it in an attempt to push it to my cracked phone.
Because there's no previously established permission, ADB Push/Shell cannot be used while the phone is on.
Phone is not detected in Recovery Mode, if doing something here was an option
Phone is detected in "ADB Sideload" but I have no idea how to make an update.zip and have been unsuccessful at finding an automatic update.zip maker.
- I used ZIPme (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=zip.me) to create one using the second S4. Upon attempting to push it back to the same phone, I got E: footer is wrong, E: signature verification failed
I wanted to at least make a backup before I get a replacement. Am I screwed?
That's a tough one....
Terribly unfortunate... sorry.
I was curious if you've paired & used any bluetooth HID (mouse/keyboard/etc) with your phone in the past? Because that would present perhaps the option of providing input that way while viewing the display output via an HDMI connection to external display?
Or if nothing else, use a USB-OTG cable with a keyboard/mouse to maybe attempt to blindly navigate and setup something somehow...?
---------- Post added at 12:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:41 PM ----------
Omg, it just occurred to me that you mentioned a SECOND S4...
If they are identical variants I want you to do this:
1) slap yourself in the forehead.
(Steps 2- are easier than might seem, but do carefully)
(Steps 2-3 do for BOTH phones)
2) remove the back cover, battery, and screws from the back
3) disconnect the flex ribbon cable to the display assembly from the main board.
4) now place phones side by side, the broken one face down working one face up.
5) you'll find that the flex ribbon from the working display can easily reach+connect to the board of the broken phone next to it(if not, switch sides). Now, connect the working screen to the broken phone next to it...
6) put battery into phone with broken screen attached (not connected) and power on....
7) the device will display on the screen of the phone next to it and should use the digitizer+capacitive buttons as well...
Now you can see and control the device regardless of boot mode, so you can get info from it or make a nandroid in recovery.
[_8) slap yourself in the face for not figuring this out yourself_]

Accelerometer Stopped Working and Bent Volume Rocker

So yesterday my accelerometer completely stopped working. I even factory reset the phone to try and fix it. The thing that fixed it was dropping my phone on the carpet from a small height. Keep in mind that I went through a whole 8 hour work day constantly moving around, setting my phone on the desk, and setting it up in my car mount. None of that was enough to cause enough shock to make it work.
Also, my volume rocker bent in the middle from it resting against the arm of my office chair.
I made a video of the issues:
https://youtu.be/TIF0QZkFIuQ
Skip to 1:05 for the volume rocker and 2:15 for the auto rotate issue.
Does anyone have any ideas about the accelerometer? I did contact Google but it was after I troubleshooted and got it working so they couldn't issue a replacement. They also had no clue why it happened.
Below is the thread on the Nexus support site, it seems several other people have the same issue even after a replacement:
https://productforums.google.com/forum/m/#!searchin/nexus/rotate/nexus/ytCwNnOJEaM
It seems a 'stuck' orientation sensor is not that uncommon. There are a number of similar threads on the Moto X, where a drop (or just a good whack) applied to the phone has unstuck it.
I also have the same issue. I have dropped the phone twice. Once on carpet from about 2 feet up and another on a rug from the same distance. I use the official Nexus 6p case. From what I can tell the accelerometer stopped working after the 2nd drop which was last night.
---------- Post added at 06:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:44 PM ----------
So I downloaded the app Accelerometer Monitor and it showed that my accelerometer was just stuck, it wasn't detecting any kind of movement at all. I flicked the top right side of my phone with my finger and it now works. Ridiculous.
I just wanted to report back that after the drop onto the couch, the accelerometer has not had any more issues. My phone even slipped out my pocket at my desk at work, hit the floor, and still no issues, not even a scratch. I'm hoping ti was just a fluke and won't happen again.
