Facebook Chat

I find it frustrating that the facebook panel doesn't provide chat, opera doesn't support facebook chat via the website. I'm just curious to know what facebook chat programs you guys are using.
Palringo has support for Facebook chat.
Facebook doesn't provide a public API for Facebook chat quite yet. What people have done is reverse engineer something and are using it to enable Facebook chat functionality. I'm sure Sony Ericsson wasn't interested in all that work.
there is an app here to do so: FacebookIM
Thanks guys

I looked into it initially I didn't want to instal NET CF 3.5 but i went ahead and made the jump.
Facebook Chat for Xperia X1
i know this one is old, but just to keep it updated for searching users..
the software is now called FIM (Facebook Instant Messenger) and no longer requires updates to the .net framework that comes with the xperia (2.0)
free download of fim available at http://www.mosko.mobi
Palringo with Facebook support really is the best to me because you don't have to rely on a single app just for FB chat - it's built into a multi-protocol IM client which you would have a good reason to already have running in the background. Why run another program?

Searching for Myspace App / Panel !

does anybody know about a myspace app oder panel for xperia ?
i hate the browser mobile version of myspace, cuz you cannot listen to artist music pages of myspace (the flash player)...
if somebody knows somethin bout it, just tell us
regards
There is no Myspace app that I know of, however, Myspace is an official partner with Microsoft for the Windows Mobile Marketplace, so they should have an official app soon.

Facebook for windows mobile.

I've been using Facebook on my HD2 but it seems pretty naff compared to the iphone app. Photos take ages to load if at all.
I've just tried the web version via Opera and everything works. My question is can I use the big Facebook logo that the windows mobile app uses but have it launch the web page version.
Ive saved it as a bookmark and added it to mu homescreen but it just shows a thumbnail of the page. I would like it to use the Facebook logo.

Browser syncing???

I have been trying to get my browser to sync up. So it loads my bookmarks but under Google there is not a browser sync function. How do you get it to sync up and load them? Also how do you remove the bookmarks preinstalled?
I'd like to know this also. There's no Google internet sync option that I can find. Can't even add Google as an account in the browser

Facebook Messenger draining battery

Hi All, I have been using the Galaxy S8 for a week now. i have noticed that when using FB Messenger, battery drains faster than any other apps specifically messaging apps. I have also gotten this feedback from other S8 users here.. anyone of u experiencing similar issue???
FB and FB Messenger seem to be battery eaters for me. I switched the Friendly for Facebook app. Full featured but takes a little while to get used to...

Does Friendly support simple Facebook login to other apps (e.g. Spotify)? My main reason behind sticking to the official full app is that not even the FB Lite app supports OAuth login to other apps, it brings up the web wrapper login - which is a hassle since my FB password is 64 characters.

I use Friendly and it brings up a web version of Facebook to auth. I use LastPass app to auto fill my credentials so it doesnt matter how long your password is, it should help you.

Lastpass and other auto password fillers are not an option before 8.0 - they use the Accessibility features of Android which causes incredible lag and power drain.
