Hi,
I have Note 4 N910F from friend running stock ROM 5.0.1 but with "unknown" baseband and "null" IMEI. I have tried many times flashing stock ROM via ODIN but no luck. I don't have efs backup and I don't know what was my Note 4's IMEI. I don't have the box and the sticker beside the battery was removed. :'(
Can you please help me how can I fix "unknown" baseband and "null" IMEI?

Hi Bro,
I saw that thread but I haven't found such application as "Samsung Retailmode" on my app drawer. I tried to download it but it says "Unable to find retail media expansion file". Also, after I Odin the stock ROM, no Samsung Retail mode on my app drawer.
Is there any way that I can confirm that my unit is a retail one?
Thanks,

Hi, I seem to understand that the goal of such app is to turn a fully functional phone into a retail one.. But the actual demo units do not have the hardware, that is no modem at all, it is not a matter of software. From the info you get, it actually looks there is no modem and hardware can't easily be added... If I were in your shoes, I would look for some YouTube videos where someone opens the phone and shows how it is built... If it is due to some lacking hardware, it should be possible to detect what is missing.

I have an unlocked Verizon Galaxy S5. It’s issue is it cannot send MMS messages. The Access Point Names field missing in settings / more networks / mobile networks. It just isn’t there.
I flashed kltevzw_AllianceRom_Build1.1 and can now send MMS messages, but now cannot access mobile data. The Network Mode is set to LTE / CDMA and Mobile Data is ON. It gets Error code: ERR_INTERNET_DISCONNECTED when it tries to access the internet thru a browser.
I flashed ExtremeSyndicate_v1, kltevzw_RootOdex_NCG, and SlymHydeR11-2 ROMs and had the same data issue as with kltevzw_AllianceRom_Build1.1

Please create APN with the following info from verizon:
https://apn.gishan.net/settings/752_13_verizon_apn_settings_for_samsung_galaxy_s5.php
I attempted to create an APN with that info but the add (+) button is grayed out and all the settings for the existing APN are grayed out as well. I tried to use APN 2.1 as well with the same result.

Try to flash another unbranded firmware. Unbranded firmware will allow you to edit APN.
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
Do you have a suggestion / link for an unbranded firm ware that will work with this phone? I tried a few in my initial attempts to correct the issue and bricked the phone several times.
Ok, I've tried several firmwares said to be unbranded:
G900V_FirmwareOnly_NE9.tar.md5, G900V_NE9_Stock_Kernel.tar, G900VVRU1ANE9_G900VVZW1ANE9_G900VVRU1ANE9_HOME.tar.md5, SEE-G900FXXU1ANG9-20140811155202, and VZW-G900VVRU1ANE9-20140808084527 all either failed to load via Odin3 or bricked the phone.
G900R6WWU2AND7_G900R6LRA2AND7_LRA and Galaxy S5 system G900VVRU1ANCG both load and operate the phone, but neither allow access to changing the APN settings with the stock ROM to correct the MMS messaging issue or give me data access with custom ROMs.
Any other ideas? I got nothing here. As I stated before I've exhausted my limited knowledge. Any help is greatly appreciated.

SM-G900R6 VZW LRA Partner Carrier Variant Help Thread
What carrier are you using that phone on? That phone isn't sold or designed for Verizon users, which is why you're having issues.. It's the lra carrier model. Stock roms (at least on roms I've used) also don't generally give you an option to create apns, even with apps. So that leaves you apn backup and restore, you should be able to use it for mms/LTE. Follow XDA thread showing process on how to use it on kitkat. Tho that leaves you with a problem of getting a apn backup of a Verizon user. If you are a Verizon user, where did you get the phone anyway??? It's basically an unlocked/unbranded cdma phone that was designed for the small carriers Verizon is partnered with, even tho it works because it's cdma you will have issues with Verizon, they won't give you support on it if you bring it in or whatever.
Also... Never flash firmware not designed for your phone. Only use the g900r6 one you found. Looks like you tripped Knox and bricked several times in the process..
After hours and hours of flashing through the various ROMs and firmwares since 4.2.2 and 4.3 on MF3, I've run in to one issue that I, and a scarce few others, have not been able to fix now matter how many combinations of flashes, modems, kernel modules, app fixes, and AGPS patches have been attempted.
The issue is that the GPS will not lock under any circumstances. All apps show no satellites in view. Google Maps will show your general location, but thats from the wifi.
The only success I've had so far is to use Hyperdrive or Gravitron on 4.3.
Personally, I think the problem is that I don't have a CSC in certain parts of the shone (See below: Firmware's CSC, CSC Country, CSC Country ISO, CSC Version all blank)
I've tried CSC changer apps and dialer codes, only to get one working, but it had no codes in the list, and no way to enter one.
Here is my phones current state:
(I been up to NC1 and just came back down to MK2 to try and get the GPS working. I intend to go to NI1 after)

I will be grateful for your help fellows, thank you in advance.
You are lucky to have the international version. Just go to settings, and check for updates.

I will be thankful if you give me link of lollipop rom from SamMobile which will work with my E300L/i9500... whatever!
If download mode says it is SGH-E300L, then it is SGH-E300L.
Was the phone purchased new or used? Sounds like it could be a "frankenphone" with parts from two different models.
Your phone is E300L but installed i9500 firmware.
If you dont know, 2 devices above have the same hardware.
E300 is Korean version which includes a lot of bloatware, i9500 is international version.

Hi all,
I am a newbie and I would like to ask for help with my Samsung S7 Edge International version SM-G9350 HERO2QLTECHN. I purchased this phone from my local hometown in the US. The phone was sold "as is" when I bought it. So far the phone is working but I am not able to have any update from my Carier "T-mobile". The phone was blocked/prohibited to have a lot features that I needed. I recently do a research about the phone and find your web site is very helpful. I am not a phone expertise like most of you but I can follow the instructions how to do things. I downloaded the app "CSC phone info" from play store and have all of the info about this phone. Please see the specifications below and let me know what is the best fit to this phone like ROM, Firmware, latest Android OS, and etc... I would like and willing to risk anything that will work out for my phone. This phone doesn't have warranty anymore so I'm not worry about the warranty void.

@Springxuan, You should have posted under the S7 Edge Q&A section where you'll get more advice with questions of this nature.
Mods, can we probably move this to Q&A?

Hi all,
I am a newbie and I would like to ask for help with my Samsung S7 Edge International version SM-G9350 HERO2QLTECHN. No. I still don't have a good solution for this phone yet. Thanks for asking. I am using this phone for testing now. Even though the phone is working but I need to learn how to put all information back from the original. The phone is not very bad one but it is hard to find supports (unfortunate that the phone was made in Vietnam but it was a clone/fake one). I would like to know if someone in the forum has the same phone I have in order to learn/trade any idea with him/her about that phone. I do a lot research but I couldn't get the info of this phone like how to start to build over from scratch. I have downloaded some of the firmware from needrom site for my phone specification but it didn't work. But if I used a different firmware like SM-G930F it worked (The one I have from the back of the phone was Samsung S7 Edge, SM-G9350, MT6580). I was so confused. If you know which link or web site that has a lot of firmware supports for this phone model please let me know. Again thank you in advance!
