try flashing stock oos
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24369303960684268

Try this its working 100/100
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/...ck-guide-for-a-hard-bricked-oneplus-2.347607/

For me, flashing TWRP again and dirty flashing OOS 3.0 worked fine, and I didn't loose any data. However, the root isn't installed.

You have to flash TWRP, enter TWRP and then reboot directly to Recovery. That way, TWRP will modify the system so it will not replace TWRP with stock recovery.
Flash TWRP;
Boot directly into TWRP;
Flash Magisk with TWRP.
Magisk should prevent the stock recovery from replacing TWRP.

you need to flash supersu or magisk right after flashing OOS to prevent OOS from overwriting the recovery with stock one, as mentioned above..

Trouble with TWRP and Magisk

Hello all,
I'm trying to get the following setup:
- Recovery: TWRP
- Stock Oreo (obviously, there's no CFWs :c)
- Magisk Root
However:
- Whenever I flash TWRP through fastboot, it doesn't seem to stick around. The first recovery boot works, but after that, it always boots back to the stock recovery.
- When I flash Magisk and reboot, my fingerprint settings seem to disappear. I would try a system-mode root, but there doesn't seem to be one available for Oreo.
Any help/solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thx!

Rebooting in recovery twice after flashing TWRP through fastboot did actually work. TWRP seems to have settled. More worried about the fingerprint problem though..

Well at first I faced the same problem too.
I see that TWRP problem is solved.
Regarding fingerprint scanner. The issue can be solved by wiping cache and dalvic cache after you flash magisk. And instead of flashing magisk 16.0 flash beta 16.04.
Even after wiping cache the scanner doesn't work. Just reboot the device.

Recovery flash won't actually work

I'm on OxygenOS 5.1.7 (Android 8.1) with unlocked bootloader but stock recovery, coming from full OTA update on rooted OOS 5.1.5, crypted data.
If I try to flash recovery (tried many version, last one is TWRP 3.2.3 siankatabg) from fastboot the flash works with "OKAY" and "Finished" messages, but too quickly (0.013s for writing), and it doesn't actually install TWRP. After reboot I'm still on stock recovery.
I tried to flash full 5.1.7 zip again. It went well, but too quickly, and didn't solve the problem.
How can I fix without having to format data?

Have you flashed magisk after reboot to twrp recovery? Otherwise oxygenOS will overwrite twrp with stock recovery on its first reboot.

I'm not able to reboot to TWRP! Just after flashing it, if I "fastboot reboot recovery" it reboots to stock recovery

Maybe you've missed some steps earlier to the flashing of twrp. Check this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/how-to/oneplus-5-unlock-bootloader-flash-twrp-t3624877
If you have further issues, please post a console log of the commands you typed and the errors if there are any.

Solved! I was doing "reboot recovery" instead of "boot recovery.img". Noob mistake
Thanks!
you need to flash Magisk before rebooting from TWRP
I am following all the steps in guide but when i try to install TWRP by siankatabg it keeps me looping back to fastboot.
Not facing any issues if i install normal TWRP recovery.

'The System has been Destroyed' when installing TWRP zip in hotboot TWRP

UPDATE - Did not manage to find a way to get TWRP installed permanently but did manage to install Lineage OS 16 (which was my end goal) via hotboot of their recovery IMG, so happy with that at least! Appreciate any help given!
Not sure what I am doing wrong. have never come across this before!
I just completely reset my phone to stock via MiFlash
I then boot into TWRP recovery from Fastboot
I then install the TWRP installer in TWRP
I then reboot to recovery but get 'The System has been Destroyed'
I can still boot into the stock ROM
I can still boot into Fastboot
I just can't seem to get TWRP to install, I can only access it in hotboot
Any help would be amazing!
It's a known issue with Stock Pie and permanent TWRP.
A solution is to install magisk before booting to system

Never install twrp on stock pie. You'll get the same message. Hotboot it only.

From what I have tried it seems that it is a bug with stock pie, custom roms with pie and stock oreo don't have this problem.
Anyway, you can basically get the same functionality by hotbooting but it's less convenient.
I have TWRP installed and resurrection remix. Maybe their TWRP works for you, just check the instructions and give it a try.
I think you should install TWRP in both slot A and B for it to work.

Weird, it used to work for me when I was on stock pie.
I'm on a custom rom right now so I cannot test if it still works.
Sorry
I also have the same problem but now I'm on a custom rom and the TWRP without magisk works, but I would like to try an sGSI, on a custom rom does the procedure work?
Try another twrp
I'm here also had the same problem on mi A2 lite
But Rom run smooth and stable for a long time that I even forgot I have no twrp. Instead I backed up with titanium bk just in case. So ,Hotbooted with adb.... less convinient but u get to where u wanna flash though

After update to V11.0.4.0.QFJEUXM TWRP no longer available

Hi Guys,
yesterday the new update came out, great.
I of course immediately pulled the zip (source) and installed it with TWRP (source).
So far no problems.
After a while I realized that I no longer had root because the apps stopped working.
When I wanted to boot into the TWRP to reinstall Magisk, I unfortunately found that it was no longer available, but only stock recovery.
Well, I thought to myself and tried to reinstall TWRP (method-twrp-3.3.1-2-davinci-fix), which was fatal, because my cell phone only booted into the Fastboot.
Then I got my cell phone, set up again with the Fastboot method.
Now I'm back to 11.0.4.0 but unfortunately without TWRP and root.
Can someone please describe how I can get TWRP and root again on Android 10?
I am thankful for every help !!!
Same thing happening to me, no matter what I do, stock recovery keeps overwriting TWRP
Oh dear, that doesn't sound good.
I hope there will be a solution to the problem soon.
I don't want to do without TWRP and root.
I wanted to try it according to these instructions "https://miui.blog/redmi-k20/twrp-mi-9t-redmi-k20-vbmeta-mauronofrio/". But don't trust me, I'm afraid that it won't work and I can start all over again.
Flash official TWRP this morning with fastboot commands without problem.
1. reboot in fastboot mode
2. Flash recovery with this command "fastboot flash recovery yourrecovery.img"
3. Reboot in recovery with this command "fastboot boot yourrecovery.img"
Any problems here.
The fact that twrp is lost when flashing official rom (even thought twrp itself) is normal. You just have to reboot into bootloader and flash twrp again and it will be back.
Your problem here is that you are using an old and unofficial twrp build, that has problems on newer roms. Flash official twrp and you'll be fine

I finally got it
I did the following.
"V11.0.4.0.QFJEUXM" flashed in the TWRP and booted into the system, TWRP will be overwritten.
Now flashed TWRP "twrp-3.3.1-0-davinci.img" in Fastboot and booted into Recovery (TWRP).
To be on the safe side, I had the cell phone booted again into the TWRP in the TWRP.
Then I flashed Magisk "Magisk-v20.3.zip".
Booted cell phone into the system and everything works.

Where did you get the twrp file from?
You can use OrangeFox Recovery if you want a TWRP that can survive after flashing MIUI ROMs or updates :

To install TWRP, is it neccesary to wipe Data (or something else)?
And if Data must be wiped, does it mean that Data will no more be encrypted as originally by MIUI?
I have 11.0.4.0, rooted by Magisk (Magisk installed simply by patching and flashing boot.img, did not need TWRP for, did not wipe Data, etc) and I possibly want to have TWRP but don't want to loose encryption of Data, Widewine L1 and so

You don't need to wipe anything to install a custom Recovery (like TWRP).
TWRP can handle ROM encryption, you just need to install a correct TWRP, and version, for your current MIUI / Android version.
A custom Recovery doesn't change Widevine level.
And TWRP is useful in case of bootloop (because of an installed Magisk module, by example) or if you want to easily reinstall Magisk after ROM update.

Ok thanks, so starting from v11.0.4.0 QFJEUXM, rooted by Magisk (did not wipe Data or so, just patched and flashed boot img), is it ok just to flash (from Fastboot) twrp-3.3.1-0-davinci.img, downloaded from the official site https://twrp.me/davinci/twrp-3.3.1-0-davinci.img
Maybe I could test first by
fastboot boot twrp-3.3.1-0-davinci.img

Something is fishy. IMO, if that official TWRP is really ok for 11.0.4.0, then it should correctly boot by:
fastboot boot twrp-3.3.1-0-davinci.img
But phone rebooted into the dark.
TG, I didn't really flash with, so by long pressing Pow it rebooted to system.
Tried again, no avail
Edit:
Tried the same fastboot boot with
twrp-3.3.1-12-davinci-mauronofrio.img and also OrangeFox-R10.1_1-Stable-davinci.img (obtained by unzipping OrangeFox), but it also reboots to dark and I have to long press Pow to reboot to system

You can install twrp by All In One tool
You can find its thread here itself
I took the official TWRP. " Link "
Flashed in fastboat and then booted the phone with a key combination in TWRP.
With the Fastboot command it didn't work for me either, the cell phone remained black ...
