European languages for G935FD Dual Sim, please help me - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hello toto everyone,
I've just bought the dual sim version of the galaxy s7 edge, code G935fd and I'm really disappointed since there's no Italian language or other European language except English (UK).
So I'm wondering if there's another official firmware I can use to have the Italian language without losing the dual sim functionality.
Reading on other posts someone says it could be possible using the firmware for the standard G935f but I didn't understand exactly the way to do this.
Someone could point me in the right direction please?
Thanks in advance
Giuseppe

No, you don't really need to root or unlock. As for the method, you can use the Odin guide given in this thread.

I have the UAE firmware that came out of the box, I'm waiting till Sunday, and if I don't get an OTA, I'll update using Odin. As for losing dual SIM functionality, people who have updated said it works fine. Lastly, please tell me how your update process goes since you are going to do it before me.

Please, before I try, could I ask you an important information please?
I've downloaded the firmware that you linked and there are 5 files:
AP

Should I use all of them or should I use only the AP file as showed in the guide?
Thanks

You need to use the first 4 files and put them in their respective columns, and then proceed to flash.

A quick question about dual sim for both of you: with dual sim, can you set a SIM preference to a contact or a number so that when you call, same Sim will always be used?

I'm not sure, I wanted to get the single SIM but in my region, only dual SIM is available. I'm using the 2nd slot for my micro-SD card.

I've just finished the download of the firmware and I've updated the smartphone with all the needed applications.
I also have made some calls I think using both the SIM and certainly I've used internet with both the SIM.
So I can confirm that the update procedure had a complete success, obviously now I have the Italian language and all the other languages are available and the dual sim functionality seems to be perfect.
So I want to thank all of you that with your suggestions made possible to achive this result.
Best regards to all of you.

@artic73 , Could you please confirm that you can assign a SIM preference to say either a contact or an individual number? E.g calling one of your friend from SIM1 & other friend using SIM2 without specifying which SIM to use every time?
I currently have to specify which SIM to use every time.. Which is bit annoying. There is no app yet (free/paid) that works on marshmallow making it even more annoying [emoji19]
If that works for you then I too would flash same ROM.

P8 Lite - Only one sim active

G'day fellas,
Nas here from Australia. I am a newbie to this forum so apologies in advance if this topic has been covered/answered already.
Background info
I recently purchased a brand new P8 Lite from someone who had received this as a complementary phone from their mobile provider "Telstra". I bought the phone with the aim of combining my personal and work number onto just one phone.
Issue
Although the phone is unlocked however only one sim port is active. So I need your expert help in activating the sim 2 port to be able to use my other number. Please let me know if you require any specific info, I will try my best to provide all the info.
Thanks in advance, Nas
If it is the single SIM phone, you have to flash the dual SIM firmware! There is a good manual in this forum!
if it is already the dual SIM model: the second SIM can only connect via 2G. for example: if you use a carrier, that has no 2G (GSM / EDGE) coverage (there are some carriers), you cannot use this SIM in slot 2.
(sorry for my english)
Thanks for the reply.
How do I know that mine is a single sim phone? Is there any guide available?
Nas

There are couple of ways to get your bootloader unlocked...
The first one is by going to huawei's site and asking for them, you'll find it in this post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=67372756
The other way is by using Kingroot app and running few command
http://huaweip8lite.blogspot.com/2016/03/bootloader-huawei-p8-lite-14-huawei.html?m=1
The email way is old and they wont reply..
Try the first method, be sure to sign up using your Facebook id.
The second method, well, used kingroot and fewpeople faced lot of issues using it (personally I used this method to get my code)

I have a Samsung S7 Edge, with a Verizon carrier. The phone wasn't recognizing my sim network and kept on notifying I insert a Verizon Sim card.
Came across this post {GUIDE} Flashing the SM-935U firmware onto your Verizon S7 Edge and Rooting By dajmanjt, and followed it.:cyclops:
After successfully flashing the SM-935U firmware, the notification changed to No network connection, can't make calls, tried making an emergency call and it displays radio off.
Please, I need help!!! Need it to start recognizing my country's network (Nigeria).
Thanks

You are right. Is it possible to download the CSC and flash it separately?
And I will also need help in downloading a suitable or a universal ROM that is compatible with all cellular network if there is something like that.
Thanks so far Fureedx

SM-G935A in Europe?

Hi everyone, I just wanted to know if is possible to use the SM-G935A model in Europe? I know that USA models are using differend network frequencies so I was not sure...
Also how can I check and know for sure if the phone is carrier locked, and if it is, is there any way to unlock it here in Bosnia?
Should be fine but check what frequencies your network uses and then compare

It supports Band 3, 7 and 20, commonly used for LTE in the UK and Europe.
It also supports both 2G and 3G on all networks in Bosnia.
Since all countries in the EU use the same LTE bands, it'll work everywhere.
Thank you both for the replies.
Which site is recomended for carrier unlock, I have found cellularunlocker (dot)net but I am not sure if it is reliable and safe to use? It costs 25$
I am sorry if this is not allowed to ask on the forums.

Hello, thank you very much. I will try it and I am familiar with flashing roms, so I will use ODIN to flash a stock ROM which is rebranded. But could you be a little more specific about the partition file, as where I can find them and how to flash it?
Is there a risk of bricking the phone?

Don't know if there are any, but you'll have to find the newest SM-G935A ROM with a PIT file, apparently that removes the network lock.
If you're still hesitant to flash, you'll have to find a reputable cell phone unlock code website. Not sure about them since I've never needed to use one.

S7 Edge Dual Sim , fake ROM ?

Hey guys.
I'm experiencing lot of bugs on my Galaxy S7 edge dual sim.
Some applications does not work, for example S Health, Samsung Pay.
I'm also experiencing problems, wherr I can't use SIM 2 for Mobile data. After setting it up, mobile data sometimes doesn't work.
Also few functions on side panel does not work properly.
Check screenshot in attachments, there are software informations.
Do I have official ROM ?
Or what can be problem? Is TouchWiz (or Samsung experience) so unstable? Or is it just my unique case?
Thanks for any help.
Download the app Phone Info and post some screens here..

/And one more question. Model SM-G935FD does not have Firmware for my country. I know it is designed for Southeast Asia and India, but .. May it cause any problems for me ? Like worse GPS locking or something. I dont think so, just want to make sure
The rom you have on the phone is for the G935F or Not G935FD version.
try installing an dual rom version instead of single rom version that may solve your problem. The G935F version will work but some apps may not work properly.
So I checked everything (BL,AP,CP,CSC) but UMS and started instalation.
