Did anyone experience the consistent pop noise on recorded video? Attached is the AAC audio track extracted from one of my video files. Every video I recorded have the exact same noise. It's not loud but still quite annoy.
If I rollback to stock, it goes away, so it doesn't sound like a hardware issue. I tried Chorma and Pure Nexus ROM plus Franco and ElementalX kernel, all of the combinations have the same problem. Some times, right after flushed the ROM and kernel, there was no such noise, and after few hours it came back for no reason. Tried clear the cache and davilk, doesn't help. Tried remove other camera apps, doesn't do anything. Tried turn on airplane mode, no effect.
This problem has driven me crazy for months. Any help would be welcome.

Hi, I am having a problem with my audio and wanted to see if anyone knew of a solution. Since flashing the 3/02 version of KTManta, I started having faint crackling noises in the audio when on Youtube or Play Music. I then flashed Trinity TX4G and it stopped. Last night I flashed TX5G and it started happening again, but when I reflashed TX4G it remained, but not as bad. I was wondering if there is any solution to the issue, as it seems to be kernel-based. Thanks!
Any ideas? I haven't had a chance to test it further, but I plan on trying some things out over the weekend.
On other devices people had found that a sample time of under 20,000 could cause audio crackling and popping.
Also you can get audio problems if your CPU speed is not going high enough to run things properly, which would be caused by needing to lower your up_threshold, or use a new governor.
Hello!
My girlfriends 900T has this issue, while my 900P does not, we are running the same exact rom. So very odd problem indeed.
I have tried the following with no resolution:

I have not found many others with this issue, only could dig up 2 threads on the internet and both were unresolved. I've tried clearing cache/data uninstalling/reinstalling, trying different/older apk's, full no ad's apk's vs latest play store version.....high quality audio checked etc.
When i switch back to the home panel, the equalizer bars in the upper right hand corner are moving, as if sound is playing, but no sound comes out. Yet when the advertisements come on, PERFECT sound. Its SO annoying. Plugging in headphones do not help vs speaker, both have no sound.
Thanks for any suggestions.
did you ever get this fixed?
I'm having the same issue
I have a i9506 and it had perfect sound quality. After going from Lollipop DOF1 to DOF2 with arther97 kernel the sound trough headphones got really bad.(if 100% is perfect, it is at 10% quality). I have tried flashing older roms. I even tried to go KK again but it always has bad sound. When the phone is doing nothing its ok, but as soon as it has to make a sound there is a pop in the right channel and lots of noise, after about 5-6 secs of silence(headphones still make noise) it pops again and goes to normal. I tested the headphones and they are ok. It makes the same problem with other headphones and my PC stereo. There are other bugs like poping when chainging songs. I have tried v4d but it didnt fix it. It just made it bareble. (~70% quality, no poping between songs), but it still pops like hell and has lots of noise. The jack is clean, and its connected normaly to the motherboard. I have tried CM roms, kk roms, other kernels and no succes.
About 3 days ago, I noticed an issue with YouTube and the audio. There would simply be no sound during the video, regardless of the intensity of volume I've set. Then randomly, another video will have sounds. On occasion, I'd have a video where there is sound, but just a bit. The ads play with perfect sound, and all other apps have flawless sounds as usual.
Anyone else encounter this? I've tried clearing cache, restarting the phone, and relaunching the app. Nothing has worked yet
After using the Axon 7 for some months I've noticed this constant issue where when recording videos or audio, the left channel has this faint (but still noticeable and annoying) crackling noise if recording in a room with little noise. When recording in an area with a lot of background noise (like in the city or at a party) the crackle isn't noticeable.
Phone has been updated to the latest version and I have tried to factory reset the phone but it still didn't work. Cleaning out the microphones didn't work either.
Anyone know of a way to fix this?
I sometimes get crackle during playback when Dolby is on. Try turning off Dolby?
Same problem, can't find a fix, so annoying.
