Fast Charge and Marshmallow - Gone!! - Honor 7 General

OK, so the Fast Charge option in Settings is gone, and some saying that Fast Charge is permanently enabled, but it is clearly taking almost twice as long to charge the phone. Is there any way to re-enable fast charge??

Well I have the standard charger issued with the phone, and it used to charge in an hour, and super speedy from 0 to 50%, but now soooo slow. Why?

What you build firmware? fast charge has nothing to do with included AC power 2A5V.

I upgraded to stock B330, and have standard 5V 2A charger, and now soooo slow to charge. Before on B180 charging with standard charger was so much faster, I had Fast Charge ticked in options. Only thing I can think is that Fast Charge worked before with 5V charger.

You have a bug. In my 4pda thread no one reported about sloooow charging. Some users on B313 reported.
Try to reflash b330 with 3btn or do factory reset.
Отправлено с моего Xperia V через Tapatalk

I am also experiencing much slower charginf speed after upgraded to b330 2 days ago.
Adminsi - would be interested to know if you have reflash/wipe and if ut makes any different.
Thanks

I criticized many lacks and problems with 330, and it was true, but now I flashed again, and all is fixed,is so good as 320. Before reflash, 240mA in home, now 180mA,chargue before 1400mA,now 1800mA,same data that 320 or 180. If you feel something wrong with energy, flash, you have a bug. Full 330 update.

Also, the only quick charging standard supported by the H7 is Hisilicon Quick Charge (not compatible with Qualcomm Quick Charge), so if you want quick charging (faster than with the 5V2A charger) there is currently only one charger on the market that supports Hisilicon Quick Charge: the 9V2A Huawei quick charger (this charger supports both, the Hisilicon and Qualcomm Quick Charge).

Please help me...im also having issues with fast charging after marshmallow update.now there is no option in settings to enable fast charging. After update it is taking more than 2 hours for full charging.Im really worried about this issue. Can u guys please help me to solve this.

I'm also facing the same Issue after update to B341 MM, charging very slowly, But When mobile is switched off Fastly charging as old in lollipop. Any Software Solution Plz..

2 solution:
- factory reset
- 3BTN firmware setup (same as installed)

Guys, my charge rate is 1% per minute with standard charger. Is that fast charge? My build no in b310. By the way i have test with a samsung 9v fast charger but result was the same. I did factory reset after flash. So i think fast charge is gone in b310 MM.

Fast charging function working only huawei 9v/2a adapters. Emui4 switching automatically to fast charging if detect it. In emui3.1 there is switcher.
5v/2a is standard charger and switcher in emui3.1 not affected for time of charge

If i understand well the standard chargar doesn't have fast charge capability and i should buy a 9v/2a charger. Do you have any link to buy or see full specification of the 9v/2a adapter that could be detected by honor 7?
Thanks

I'm also facing the same Issue after update to B341 , its taking almost double/triple time to get full charge. any workaround??

Charger must have a Hisilicon Fast, not Quick Charge system. Charger from the link has both systems.

This seems to be a common problem. I am also facing slow charging issue due to update perhaps. Earlier the phone used to charge really fast now it takes more than 2 hours and sometimes even close to 3 hours. My current build is B341. I have tried Hardware Reset but was not of much help.
Has anyone solved this problem. And how do u flash the phone. Btw I am using 5V2A charger, supplied with the device, which took very little time to charge earlier. And also when the phone is switched off it charges really fast but the phone heats up a lot.

[Q] Nexus 10 discharging while using while plugged into the wall ?

Guys, quick question. Yesterday I did some gaming with my Nexus 10. When the battery reached 5%, I plugged it into the wall and continued. Half an hour later, the screen was flickering like mad and as I thought it could have something to do with the charger causing interference, I unplugged it. The tablet went blank immediately. Trying to turn it back on, it showed an empty battery symbol and would not turn on, even while powered with the wall-charger. Leaving it alone on charge brought it back up to 5 %.
I tried again and watched the battery and indeed, it turns out the battery drains slowly while gaming, even when the device is powered. I have used the standard charger that came with the device and had it plugged into the wall (so NOT my computer's USB port, which would explain it). WiFi was running, had not touched NFC and GPS, yet.
Anybody else seeing this behaviour ? I am thinking about returning the device, but would like to know if others are seeing this as well or if this is "broken by design" on the Nexus 10. Thanks!
It's not broken. The N10 is just pulling more energy while gaming than the 5V/2A charger can supply. Next time stop gaming around 5% and you're good.
Yeah , once Pogo charger is out , it will charge inspite of everything you do with it

Hello. I have the same problem with my nexus10. I received it last week but didn't noticed it. But since the last few days, just by using chrome or facebook, with max brightness, the battery stops charging and sometimes slowly discharging.
It's a very annoying problem.

quick charge became slow charge on cm13

Hi all,
I just installed cm13 on my oneplus 2.
I began charging the devices and it shows about 8 hrs to full charge (with the stock charger).
I changed the charger to a faster quick charge and still the device is slow charging.
Is there any fix? Or I have to go back to stock..
Cheers Gur
Oneplus 2 doesn't have Quick charge.
You have bug in Rom or somthing wrong with Your Phone.

8 hours? Yeah you definitively got a problem dude. One thing to know, if you use your phone while is charging, it will charged slowly. Try to leave 2 hours without touching it (twitter, facebook, whatsapp, viber, etc, they all have web equivalent) and see. But if it still continues like this, yeah, trying go back to stock.
Before cm13, it charged my phone in about 2hrs.
Change kernel to like boeffla or ben's then raise charge current. Stock values suck for some cable n adapters, especially USB charging dead to like 50-150ma. After raising I get about 750-1000ma on USB which is reasonable

This is the data I get when I charge the phone
Sorry can't load the picture I took.
I had this the first time that I've tried the cm13, than goes back to Oxygen and after some time when tried again, the charge time was the same of oxygen. Yesterday tried the vanillaos and again charge time to slow, so I assume that when you see this, have to make again a full wipe and reinstall the rom

qualcomm 2.0 vs Samsung adaptive fast charging

Whats thw difference betweem qualcomm 2.0 quick charging vs Samsung adaptive fast charging?
Sent from my SM-G935F using XDA-Developers mobile app
My understanding is that they're the same thing? Samsung's adaptive fast charging takes advantage of Qualcomm's quick charge 2.0 technology... Even though the phone has the hardware to support quick charge 3.0....
I could be wrong but I'm like 95% sure I'm right from all the random forums I've read.
Us there a way to position the phone to charge fast mine takes forever. It charges faster wired on the wireless it takes 5 mins to gain a percent.

my car charger supports Qualcomm 2.0 and i use it for Samsung fast charging, so my guess they are the same

L29, slow charging after android 0.7

It's so awesome after the New updated android I.7.. but it takes 5 to 6hours to charge 100% really worried about that ,i have checked the charger and cable ... any solutions

I have faced this for a long time and the only fix for slow charging I got was an oppo vooc charger (5v 4a).. it used to take around 8-10 hrs.. now it's usually 2-3 hrs..
I had the nearly same problem, my phone get overheat afte update, even in standby my phone was hot ! And takes forever to charging,
After a factory reset I never faced that problem

I have had problem with charging too, I changed to a new cable it solved the problem. I recommend Anker Powerline cable, it loads quicker the normal cables too

Charging speed

To power up, you consume Red Bull. But your phone just needs its adaptive fast charger. Rate this thread to express how quickly the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 can charge. A higher rating indicates that it charges extremely fast.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Can any1 tell me how much time he need to fully charge note10 (not plus). From 10-15% to 100% i need more than a hour and 20min with stock charger, and just 3min more with charger from s8. Friend fully charge n10+ in about hour with stock charger and he have 800mAh bigger battery.

I confirm your conclusions. I have NOTE 10+ and the charging time is also about 1 hour. At the same time, my wife has a NOTE 10 model, and her phone charges in about 1 hour 20 minutes. This really looks a little strange because:
1. The Note 10+ battery has a capacity greater than Note 10.
2. Both phones have the same EP-TA800 charger!
It seems strange, but it is.
@iOr_s tnx for sharing. And yeah...and I'm pissed because of that! Bouth selling as fast charge capable but for note 10 that doesn't woark!!

Note 10 has fast charging! Please go to Setting ... - Fast cable charging and unmark it. After that charging time will be changed for both models. In this case Note 10 charges in 3 hours instead of 1 hour 20 minutes. So Note 10 has fast charging mode as Samsung declared it.
Another thing is that fast charging is realized in Note 10 plus much more efficiently, include super fast charging of 45 watts.
Sent from my SM-N975U1 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
@iOr_s yeah it have, but not fast as note10+, that's the point! Note+ can utilize 25w charger that came in box, note10 not (about the same charging speed with old 15w and new 25w chargers).
Sent from my SM-N970F using Tapatalk
Ok, so with my new 45w USB C to C wall charger from 0 to 100 takes an hour, flat! no frills. no lies.
Galaxy Note 10+. 45watt Super Fast Wall Charger, directly from Samsung with the $150 credit. I would suggest getting a few of these to carry around with you wherever you go. Now you know how long it takes to go from 0 to 100.

Yes, great, congrats!
But that cannot help our friend @Proday. Note 10 does not support 45W fast charging.
By the way, the charging time for Note 10 Plus using the EP-TA800 adapter is also about 1 hour.
And on the side, it is much easier to carry the compact EP-TA800 with you wherever you go, than 45W fast charger

In fact, there is a slight time difference. It is approximately 15 minutes ).
On the one hand, it makes up 25-30% (!!!) of the total charging time. But on the other hand, it's only about 15 minutes
And for me personally this is not so important. And for this reason I have not bought a 45W charger yet

Hi, since we are talking abt charging, I have one on Wireless.
The included Note 10+ power adaptor (EP-TA800) cannot FAST Wireless Charge when connected to my 2 older Wireless charger stands (EP-NG930, EP-PG950) [only Standard, slow Wireless Charging]... BUT if I swap out the 25W adaptor with an older unit (EP-TA20UWE), I CAN Fast Wireless Charge with both above-said charger stands.
My question: Is this normal per Samsung's current support for only USB PD & dropping of AFC charging standard (read this somewhere but not fully across the technical implications of this)? i.e.- I will need a new wireless charging stand in order to FAST wireless charge with provided 25W adaptor?
Bit of a bummer if true since that's like Samsung abandoning our older accessories. Appreciate any inputs u might have. Tks.

Got a response from Samsung today. They confirmed that the included 25W adapter will not enable Fast Wireless Charging on older Samsung stands for reasons associated with power & voltage regulation. That means if Fast Wireless charging is important to you, you'll have to pony up and get one of the new Samsung stands.

Sorry to hear that! Which brings me to the point of being more transparent about adoption of new standards (and what legacy ones are dropped).. right? Fast Wireless charging on older stands not supported... okay, maybe not such a big deal but you'd think they'd be a little more upfront about it instead of giving us the big run around.
To answer yr Q- I contacted them via Live Chat on Samsung Members app, then they called me back.

I have 2 dual stands wireless chargers from Samsung. 1 is 10W and the other is 15 W. They BOTH show fast charging for me. They both came with their own power adaptors out of the box. The 10W comes with the adaptive fast charging, and the 15W came with the same 25W charger that the Note 7 was able use. Did you lose your adaptor?
