My phone does not have the option to add Google account to sync contacts. Is there a way to fix this?

Do you have installed the Chinese version of the 6.0 test ROM by any chance?
Because that is what happend to me too, when I did that.
There are two options:
A - Export your all contacts from your online book (Google Contacts) using vCard format, copying the files to your sdCard, then importing them using the Contacts app on your phone.
B - Flash a GApps zip
Go to the Open GApps site
Select ARM64 on the leftmost column, select whatever version of Android you have on your phone on the middle column, and select pico from the rightmost column.
Download the package, and copy it to your phone, and flash it via Recovery.
If you click on the package names, a new windows will open up listing all the programs that package is contains.
So if you want some extra, check the lists, and chose your preferred package over the pico.
After flashing you should be able to add your Google Account again.
Will do that once I unlock bootloader. Thanks!!
By the way, I have all Google apps working. Gmail, maps, everything. Contact syncing is the only thing that doesn't work...

I have the some problem ???
How is the Play Store, Gmail app working if you cannot add the account?
Did you add the account with the application's built-in +Add account option?
The Contacts app has the same option, open it up, press Menu, then Accounts. You should be see all your added accounts, tap on the right one, and turn on Sync Contacts.

Updated to XXUEML9 via Odin and my stock email is now working fine
In Android settings--> Backup and reset, u can backup your data at your gmail account to use it for restore later.
I never tried it before on my previous android phones, i choosed it this time with m my N3 9005, but can not find any thing at my gmail account!
and if i choose not to automatically restore, how it will work?

i think its just app data so if your on level 6 on a game and you get a new phone it will start on level 6
but it says: backup wifi passwords, settings!!
maybe it will restore this stuff after u do a factory reset, to help u save time and efforts to do all of that after the reset?!
and if that is correct, if u choosed not to automatically restore, it will give u an option to restore only what u want?!

yeah passwords in google like website passwords
When you backup your data via backup option, it saves WiFi passes, Google account info etc.
When you re-set up your phone from another ROM or after a reset, you enter your existing Google account data and you have an option to restore all the apps you had previously from the Play store and it auto downloads them for you. - it saves certain phone settings to.

Soon as you sign into your Google account via your phone after a restore/wipe, it'll ask you if you wish to restore your settings and apps, not sure where Google actually store this data though or if it's accessible (don't think it is)
Dear All,
Please find my first tutorial for this phone that I received today.
I took information from different site and from discussion of this forum.
The goal is to help new user and get them quicker to the result.
The idea is no to root in order to keep OTA update from leeco
I will explain how to :
Install last stock rom (in order to get future OTA update)
Install Google play store and others google apps
Make google contacts appears in "phone" menu
Install Morelocale 2 to switch in other languages than English
So Let's begin,
Install last stock rom (in order to get future OTA update)
First of all, download here the last rom :
http://bbs.le.com//zt/eui/le_max2.html
While create a leeco account following these instructions :
http://in.lemall.com/in/help/help-pid-5-id-375.html
You might find your activation link into your spams.
When the download is finished, rename the file in update.zip
Put it at the root of the phone
shut down the phone.
press the power button + volume up key to enter the upgrade interface, according to the following specific operating procedures.
Select "Use update.zip Update System" -> "Update" and "clear cache", reboot into the system
Install Google play store and others google apps
Google play is avalaible form the LeStore, you need to download from there. Type google in the search bar of leStore and you will find it :

"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
After you have google play, you can install gmail, calender, maps, youtube...
Make google contacts appears in "phone" menu
I had the same issue than others, with the google contact inside the phone.
To make work, download and install this APK :
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-contacts-sync/google-contacts-sync-6-0-1-release/google-contacts-sync-6-0-1-android-apk-download/
After that, go to settings, App management, look for "Google contacts Sync", Permissions, and "tick" Contacts
Now it should work.
Install Morelocale 2 to switch in other languages than English
If you want other language than English, you can download morelocale from play store.
To make it your without root :
switch into developper mode :
settings, about the phone, click severals time on build number
Install Adb drivers on your computer from there : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790
connect your phone in usb debug mode.
into the command line C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot\ send this adb shell pm grant jp.co.c_lis.ccl.morelocale android.permission.CHANGE_CONFIGURATION
You will be able to change to you language.
Tips
If you need to read some chinese, use Google translate app from your previous phone, you can take picture to translate some chinese.
I hope it will help some guys.
Hi
This problem happened to me with Android N Resurrection Remix and it is happening now with Stock Oreo.
I download files, like podcasts using podcast addict, or other files in the download folder, and some of them just dissappear. I can't find them with my browser 7z neither with my players. Sometimes, using a different browser they appear again, other times not. If I reboot they are there again.
I don't know if it is related, but the system generates 2 download folders, both with the same files, but not duplicating the used space.

What is your default download app... Chrome? If another app, maybe that is the culprit. You may have at one time (in Podcast Addict) defined the download folder. Maybe you can change this setting within the app to the Google Default. You may have to reset your default browser app under Settings >>Apps & notifications>>Advanced>>Default Apps. You may also want to try wiping the cache partition from Recovery.

I don't think there is away to back it up completely. For each account you add into the Google Authenticator, you are usually given a recovery key at setup. You need to keep the key safely and use it for recovery whenever you need it. Once you have configured it, you will usually not have the option to review the key again due to security reasons.

I switched to Authy some years back after having to manually disable and re-enable 2FA on like fifteen accounts following a phone migration.
Now my codes easily move to a new device. No complaints.
