Hi
This problem happened to me with Android N Resurrection Remix and it is happening now with Stock Oreo.
I download files, like podcasts using podcast addict, or other files in the download folder, and some of them just dissappear. I can't find them with my browser 7z neither with my players. Sometimes, using a different browser they appear again, other times not. If I reboot they are there again.
I don't know if it is related, but the system generates 2 download folders, both with the same files, but not duplicating the used space.

What is your default download app... Chrome? If another app, maybe that is the culprit. You may have at one time (in Podcast Addict) defined the download folder. Maybe you can change this setting within the app to the Google Default. You may have to reset your default browser app under Settings >>Apps & notifications>>Advanced>>Default Apps. You may also want to try wiping the cache partition from Recovery.

What is the best way to roganise my phone?
I plug in my phone and all i see are folder's after folder's and file's after file's
totally, unorganised it looks a complete mess and to be honest i dont even know what most of the files are for as well as folders.
102 items in the root of my phone & Sd-Card, am trying to tidy it up,
I want all my music in a Music folder as apposed to 3 which I have Music, Music Junk & Music_online , its really unorganised. Photo's and Video's need to be organised as well.
So i have applications that create folders in the root. , can i not add a folder called Applications, and then the apps will create folders in their or somthing?
Anybody got any idea's and will i be ok to delete most of these folders and files?
Thanks
I too find it a complete mess, although I have organised my media folder. Here's what mine looks like right now...

Thanks for the reply, I had a LOT more than that in my list haha, so what i decided to do was just backup my music / photos / apps (.apk) / video's and format my card, then place the backup back .
looks alot tidyier now =D

I've rooted mine so think some of what's on there will be needed, so I'll just have to put up with it. I've had to flash it 5 or 6 times already by tinkering, only had it a week too lol.

First, get the game on your Phone!
If it's not available in your country, you can change your operator with Market Enabler (to T-mobile for example) and one of the 3 versions listed by EA will become compatible with your phone.
Run Worms and let it download it's database in sdcard/android/data/com.ea.worms_NA_vzw
Create a folder called com.ea.worms_na if it's not there already and paste the content from the one above inside it.
You should now have an identical content in the two folders and the same size ~34mb each.
Then locate your worms.apk file (com.ea.worms...).It should be in or data/app; if it's not go to your program manager and select "move to phone".
Then paste the folders in sdcard/android/data on your tablet and worms.apk anywhere you like and install it.
Voila, you have worms! Don't forget to say thanks if you enjoy this game too
Let's see how long it takes for EA to "port" since the only thing that's not in place is the cross-hair, it's a little too big but the game is totally playable.
ill try (did this on my nook) but since the last update the game doesnot even start up
Make sure you have the two folders synched right, the app is bugged and doesn't do that by itself.
If anything else fails, delete the folders, uninstall, start over.
I use a Appkik Backup to get the .apk, then I email it to myself from the phone.
On the tab, I download the app and install it from email.
Same process, but easier (the backup .apk's are always in the same folder) and it's wireless. Plus some paid apps are hidden.
Then occasionally I will plug my phone into my PC and make a copy of the backup folder. Then all apps are on my PC should I clean sweep and want to reinstall all of them.
I have tried this several ways, but it tries to download the files to support and then says unsupported device. Any suggestions?
OK - after playing around I finally got it to work. Do I need to install anything to get the sound to work? No luck here.

Turn off Dolby.
Been getting touch screen issues with 3.1 custom roms. Have to check around more.
Please try a round and report.
Hello, everyone!
1. I have duplicated all the pics (in the stock Gallery) and music (in the stock app "Music").
BUT in app Quickpics - all right. In PowerAmp - are also fine, no repeats files.
Please see the screenshot 2. This is the stock Gallery.

2. In addition, I see an unusual … something in the folder sdcard (mount point)
Please see the screenshot 1.
What is it? It is normal for LG? I never see the same on Smasung.
I think that these two bags/feature related.
Please tell me how I can fix it.
Advance - thank you

No file will be deleted, and clones disappear
My first smartphone was the Samsung Galaxy S2. And I was shocked how Samsung "destroys" their own device by adding - sorry for the harsh words - idiotic and useless apps.
Samsung is the main reason why many people (most apple users) are mocking Android.

Samsung is the worst manufacturer in adding useless apps. Who needs 23 hubs for social, fitness, books, games, blablabla and 3 app stores? And 2 music players?
Nobody, I guess... That's why I deleted the useless apps from /app and /priv-app after every update and that was awful.
Some weeks ago I made this flashable zip which allows me to delete all unnecessary (at least for me!!!) apps with one flash. I made it for personal use with my OPO and BlissPop. I don't need NFC or CellBroadcastReceiver. Never.
Every ROM is different. Every ROM has same apps in /system but also different ones. That's why I'm sharing a template for the flashable zip, not a ready-2-flash-zip.
Adaptive Junk Remover
1. download the provided zip file for KK / L
2. open it with WinRAR (the best program)
3. browse to \META-INF\com\google\android
4. open the file called updater-script with Notepad++ (also the best program)
5. a) you will see this (for a ROM based on Android 5.0.x // CM12), the delete_recursive tag is necessary because L stores apps in subfolders
b) you will see this (for a ROM based on Android 4.4.x // CM11)
6. you have to add the apps you want to remove, have a look inside your /app and /priv-app folder
7. a) enter the folder name (CM12): delete_recursive("/system/app/FOLDER-NAME"); or delete_recursive("/system/priv-app/FOLDER-NAME");
b) enter the app name (CM11): delete("/system/app/APP-NAME.apk"); or delete("/system/priv-app/APP-NAME.apk");
maybe you have also .odex files, delete them with delete("/system/app/APP-NAME.odex");
8. if you've finished save the file, WinRAR asks to update the zip-file, affirm that (!!!IMPORTANT!!!)
9. flash the zip in your custom recovery
!!!WITHOUT GUARANTEE!!!
delete only apps you know they're safe to remove (link, link, link, etc.)
be aware that some apps share their libs, etc.
if anything goes wrong, for example FCs, simply reflash (dirty) your ROM and delete the FC'ed app from the updater-script of the Junk Remover
if you have questions, feel free to ask
my updater-script for my OPO running BlissPop looks like this, using it after every update, no FC, no other issue
Code:
delete_recursive("/system/app/AntHalService");
delete_recursive("/system/app/BasicDreams");
delete_recursive("/system/app/CMWallpapers");
delete_recursive("/system/app/Eleven");
delete_recursive("/system/app/Email");
delete_recursive("/system/app/FaceLock");
delete_recursive("/system/app/Galaxy4");
delete_recursive("/system/app/HoloSpiralWallpaper");
delete_recursive("/system/app/HTMLViewer");
delete_recursive("/system/app/LiveWallpapers");
delete_recursive("/system/app/LiveWallpapersPicker");
delete_recursive("/system/app/MonthCalendarWidget");
delete_recursive("/system/app/NfcNci");
delete_recursive("/system/app/NoiseField");
delete_recursive("/system/app/OpenCamera");
delete_recursive("/system/app/PhaseBeam");
delete_recursive("/system/app/PhotoPhase");
delete_recursive("/system/app/PhotoTable");
delete_recursive("/system/app/PicoTts");
delete_recursive("/system/tts");
delete_recursive("/system/app/PrintSpooler");
delete_recursive("/system/app/Stk");
delete_recursive("/system/app/Terminal");
delete_recursive("/system/app/VisualizationWallpapers");
delete_recursive("/system/app/WhisperPush");
delete_recursive("/system/priv-app/CellBroadcastReceiver");
delete_recursive("/system/priv-app/CMAccount");
delete_recursive("/system/priv-app/DeviceControl");
delete_recursive("/system/priv-app/Mms");
delete_recursive("/system/priv-app/MmsService");
delete_recursive("/system/priv-app/ScreenRecorder");
delete_recursive("/system/priv-app/Tag");
delete_recursive("/system/priv-app/Velvet");
delete_recursive("/system/priv-app/VoiceDialer");
Nice. Thanks for sharing. You did a great job explaining how to go about this and the script/zip works great. Thanks for taking the time.

This worked like a charm. Thanks.
Interesting behavior lately, on my sg5. There are times (more and more often, recently) when neither Google's camera app, nor camera zoom fx show anything on the screen, as if there was no visibility through the actual camera hardware. Rebooting the phone brings back functionality, but only for a while (a few hours), after which the strange no image comes back.
I have also experienced strange "disappearances" of pictures I just took, which show up in a gallery app (the default, or quick pick), but which are nowhere to be found after closing the camera app.
Has anybody seen anything similar? I would really hate to go back to resetting to defaults - had rooted and xposed customized this phone to my liking. And - no - this behavior is not associated with any recent xposed activity / configs...

Try booting to recovery and clearing the caches

I have similar on stock, without root.
When I open up default camera application, there is no picture, just blank screen and phone becomes very laggy. Screen looks like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
But it happens just sometimes.
E.g. once per 3 days and soft reboot is the solution.
Don't know the root cause Mine is SM-G900FD with BOC1 firmware.
Tried a factory reset already, but didn't help. Didn't try safe mode yet, as it might be related to some application e.g. facebook, viber, etc. which has access to camera.
Happens to my also since Lollipop on SM-G900F, tried the new stock BOC7 and now is better but it still there, the error and the blank screen. I noticed it happens more often in the evening/night. I've tried everything, wipe cache, reset camera. Hope Samsung will release a fix, no problems whatsoever on KitKat,
