Over the last couple days my G2 has slowly been developing a light colored edge around the top and now the bottom of the screen, At first I thought it was scuffs, but it's actually under the glass. It's not light bleed either because it shows with the G2 powered off. It started out only on the top left and has now expanded. My guess is that the lcd is detaching from the digitizer, however, the glass is not lifting from the housing at all. I replaced the screen with frame back in December (LG made OEM part) and it's still under warranty from etradesupply. I'll likely send it in for replacement, but was curious if anyone has seen this before.
Hardware fault, send it back asap.

Can anyone else see evidence of the screen separating from the chassis?
Mine is parting in the bottom left corner of the phone and the screen is starting to sit proud; see attached photos. As the glass is flat and I doubt it bends, the chassis/internals must have some residual stress from manufacture. It can be pushed back together but opens up again after a few seconds.
I'm awaiting advise from the seller (Elcell.co.uk)

Screen Separating from Chassis
mine has the same problem.
I noticed that it is starting to get loose on my phone.
Also the T from the HTC brand on the back is getting loose.
I have the same on the topp
I don't have the problem (yet). I have my device only for 6 days...
same issue here
Thanks for pointing this out. I had my glass slightly lifted since i got this replacement unit. I thought it was just a slight misfit into the backcover. Now that you pointed this out, i notice the same peeling off on the bottom part of the glass. I press it down, and the phone got a solid feel.
Although it lifts up again after a while. The adhesive is not so strong.
I just bought a note and in the shop the guy removed the factory fitted screen cover with all Samsung marketing stuff on and fitted another for me, however, I have imprints of all the shapes and writing from it on my screen, especially prominent on a grey background and it is annoying the hell out of me.
I'm not sure whether to rip the screen protector off in the hope it just needs wiping on the surface or whether to go back to the shop.
The phone hasn't been on for it to be screen burn, but has been in daylight and possibly bright sun.
I taken some pics I hope tapatalk won't screw with too much, attached.

I'd rip the screen protector right away and clean the screen. Hope it'll come off ( or maybe it's on the screen protector ). If that won't help, i guess you should take it back to the store.
I've seen a post just like yours months before. It's definitely not a burnt out screen because the imprint is the graphics from the Samsung screen protector. The guy you bought it from should have cleaned it thoroughly first before putting on a new screen protector. You should go back then show it to him and then get a replacement.
This is what I suspected but I fear the sun has burned away the rest of the screen leaving bits under the the protector.
I'll take it to the shop this evening and he can remove the protector and wipe it and give me a new one or he can replace the phone too.
Edit: took it back and swapped it. He had no white ones left do had to get black, wasn't happy at first but black looks better next to my SGS2. screen is perfect on this one, never did figure out the cause of the problem but at least I'm sorted now.
Manufacture date is a couple of months older than the white one but nevermind, I can live with that.

The screen on my Nexus 4 is starting to lift at the bottom. Starting to look like I have a giant bubble all along the bottom edge. I have no screen protectors installed. Looks like this was caused by the rubber edge of a hard case rubbing against the bottom edge of the screen. Anyone else having this issue. I guess it is still under warranty and I should contact Google to get it fixed. Very dissapointed in the build quality of the phone. I have unlocked and rooted the phone. Should I restore it to its original condition before sending it back to Google?
post pics !
It should be covered for a year
Hi I bought a new screen off ebay with the frame attached advertised as original not replacement. when I assembled the phone and turned the brightness up I noticed light bleeding from the sides, the top and bottom were perfect. The touch works well, what is the reason for this, is the screen bent near the centre? Is the lg g2 screen a knock off replacement any ideas, btw this Is the second screen I got the first replaced because of the same issue.
My guess would be that it wasn't installed properly. When I did my first attempt at replacing a screen on my HTC, there was light bleeding because I didn't use enough adhesive around the new screen. After I bought additional adhesive and performed the screen replacement the 2nd time, it was flawless and there were no gaps

i don't think it's that it is seems as though the screen is bent around the middle, like it's bending out. the top and bottom of the phone attach completely fine.
So my friend gave me his old sgs5 for free because it is missing the battery and back plate, both of which i ordered off amazon and are arriving later today, i have a question about the amoled panel
the glass of the digitizer is flawless, no cracks to be seen whatsoever and is very smooth and scratch free to the touch; however, inside on what i can assume only to be the amoled panel itself, (unless there is another thin layer of glass between the GG3 and amoled display , which i am not sure of) on the very top right corner and about 1.5-2mm in, there is a small hairline fracture that cuts the corner, also, there is a very small fracture of the same type on the top of the panel about two-thirds of the way to the left that extends roughly 1.5-2ish-mm down the screen, but ends without cutting back to the edge of the screen.
my question is this; When i recieve the battery and back plate today in the mail, will i put it together only to find that i get no video on the amoled at all? or simply black screen except for that tiny cut-off corner on the top right, as from what i can tell that is where the main video ribbon connects?
the phone has been -somewhat- manhandled, as there are a couple fractures in the glass over the camera and some indentations on the plastic chrome ribbon that encompasses the device on the corners from what i can only assume are drops. Otherwise the device looks to be in perfect working order, and i cannot imagine that it has sustained enough impact trauma to actually hurt anyone on the mainboard if the gg3 screen itself is flawless with no blemishes.
thanks for your time, any insight is much appreciated.

There is a big chance of that happening...
I have an S3 mini screen here that is in almost perfect condition, except for a tiny fracture in the AMOLED panel very similar to yours, and the whole display doesn't turn on.
