Porting XPERIA Launcher and apps

I'm going to port some features to replace Samsung crappy ones (Like gallery, music player)
Following apps/libs will be ported
Album (Gallery)
Bravia Mobile
Walkman (Music)
Also mod will have AROMA included.
Any help welcomed and required I beilive

Yes, I got the APK of the Home Launcher of the XPERIA GX. It was made for Sony devices running ICS, I tried to make it work on my SGS3 but I couldn't. The Sony launcher is a master piece of work. It's so beautifull and usefull.
I will donate with paypal to the one that ports XPERIA GX Launcher WORKING with widgets to the S3. I want to stay on Stock ROM and just replace this ****ty touchwiz launcher.

I'll try to deodex apks first

Why not use Xperia Home as launcher.
The one attached works.
But the app drawer is a bit messed out.
Let me try adjusting.
Go on Preferences > App Drawer.
App Drawer Rows = 5.

What about the sms app? The one found on xperia T is simply gorgeous

Album already ported, but sometimes (very rarely) work like a crap.

Note: This is work by ra3al.
This is the closest to an Xperia Launcher on the SIII.
Unfortunately it is made on GB (2.3) so it runs in compatibility.
And doesn't support features like Resizing widgets which are specific to ICS.
We're still waiting for a port from Xperia GX

I'm just downloaded apps signed and zipaligned them.
After testing, I'm discovered some apps working without libs, some not. I'll extract libs tomorrow and create cwm zip with them.

As, i'm not able to download due to network problems.

other than stuff like clearbass equalizer,surround mode,download music info rest it pretty easy to port
most don't need any porting at all to be working on s3

Watching this space & hope the porting works (esp Email,SMS etc).
Album works fine here with lib(libalbumframework.so) included. Have been using Home,HomeAdd & WidgetPicker since day 1 instead of TW, only issue is resizing widgets. SemcNotes working perfect paired with Evernote for gmail backup etc. Walkman, no issue at all (with all the its xtra dependecies).
Not my work and thanks go to the XDA community dev for the work...much much appreciate

[PORT] Sony Xperia Z1 Media Apps for Galaxy Tab 3

I got all media apps from the Sony Xperia Z working for Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 and 8.0.
If someone could test it on the Galaxy Tab 3 10.0 and tell me if it's working too, it would be great

Just flash the .zip files in Recovery and wipe cache and dalvik after flashing the .zips!
Bugs:
When you click on "My Albums" in Album app it will crash actually (trying to fix it soon)

Walkman in landscape looks wrong

Haven't seen that yet. That happens because of the different LCD density and resolution to the Xperia Z. Easiest way to fix it yet is using xposed framework and the xposed per app density settings app. Use a density lower than 180 for the Walkman app to fix the huge buttons
I'll try to fix it in the app itself when I got time for it.

this is not bad actually...it works, but like you said, changing DPI thru xposed app settings...there are many ports for these Xperia media apps, walkman, launcher...etc...i have not found a real true port that works on 8 inch tablet without tweaking...another thing, Xperia stuff always confuses me which one is latest version which ones for what....(do a search in XDA, you will see what I meant)...say if I want to get latest Walkman (with all required files), which one is the latest!?....you know what I mean...
about Xperia launcher, I guess Sony's latest Xperia Z Tablet's launcher seems like more suitable for 8 inch tablet...but have not seen anyone ported or make it work...

No significant changes noticed. A bit smoother now.

No changes, scrolling working faster.
Don't have music unlimited it mentions some changes in that.
Music skips to Next Track randomly when in Album view on scrolling fast. May make the application even hang or crash.(6-7 instances, 1 crash) anyone facing the same?

For me the volume level was never a problem with Walkman player, so can't say if it has gone up but the quality seems better.

Could someone mirror the apk?

the volume level of the xperia zl was very disappointing! I went from the HTC ONE S to the xperia zl and i was pissed!!!! frickin sony. Thought that they would be more concerned about the sound quality. I read somewhere that its because there is no preamp and the the htc had one.

u might wanna try power amp. it improves sound loudness and quality a lot. IMO, its the walkman app, due to which the audio is poor and not the phone.

That's the version of walkman your phone shipped with.
If you factory reset your walkman week revert back to the version saved in system> app.

Hey, cool icons you have there! can you give me link to the thread please?

It does work on an XHDPI device running 4.2.2
however the 2nd widget( with the xperia S label) doesn't show all album arts unlike the other 3 widgets.
it shows some, but not all

I just mix the musicwidget from xperias.
With the new musicwidget ,updatealbumart function is diferent.
In the new musicwidget from KK, The AlbumartBitmap is low quality.
So i use updatealbumart function from xperias, it causes many problems

it work for the new xperia home, if your have the new xperia home

does not update album art even on the 4x4 widget some times (smart cover)
also a sugguestion ..how about using sony pause/prev/next buttons ..would give it a proper sony look :cyclops:

No because I believe you need the frameworks. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
If you want a great keyboard. Use the blackberry one.

Bb keyboard is awesome but only on bb phones. I cant synchro learn words there. So im try Google keyboard again and now working very well.
