New Xperia Themes Available!

So new themes are coming. I even paid for one! Some are actually really decent. I said before it is like a throw back.to the old Symbian themes to me...but they're lovely.

Yeah, I paid for one as well. It's is the steampunk theme. I haven't taken a screen shot of it, but I like it rather well. I figured that I could spend $0.99 to make my Z1 more "mine".

Yup.and they're a nice way to keep.the Sony launcher and yet customise it. Which I think was great of Sony. I used to make Symbian ones for myself...can't wait till we can do these!

What do you mean? These are off my phone, and I don't get what you mean? I saw another thread where someone thought similar. You on your standard flash or have you flashed like myself?

For me it's only transparent on the stock launcher. Not transparent in nova for example

have you deleted the Sony select app?
you can still access them via the playstore

I have the "+" button, but I can't download any theme ): ...
Today I got the OTA update to .290. I have not locked apps at all.
I went to Settings -> Customize -> Theme, and there's the "+" button. Sony Select appears but with nothing, just the shadd black-blue background.
If I go to Sony Select directly from the launcher, it just appears the "loading" animation and after a while it says "Not net connection. Try after a while"
PD.: I'm translating what it says to english, messages appear in my language.

I get the same error after an update to 4.3 and I saw others with the same issue on the Xperia Z forums.
I have attempted a reboot and clearing the app data.
I suspect that it may be something up with Sony's servers.

I have recently updated to 4.3 too. And having this problem. So sad i can't try new themes. I hope this will be fixed soon.

You can try the new themes if you do a playstore search
My tablet has this problem as well but i managed to install all the themes from the playstore

Received it 4 hours ago.
And will not try it again, 4.2 is stable enough.

don't expect the root to stay. never gonna happen

Sorry man but i have no idea.. You should get it without any problem because it came directly from sony.
Try restarting your xtz

Had the problem before, if you have CWM installed that will prevent the update.

About screenshot, just like every 4.0+ device, expect Samsung: Power button + Volume Down. Hold both together for a second or two.

That is part of the TriFlat theme. It does that. The 4.3 theme engine allows a much bigger and deeper customization than the previous theme engine...

Lol i tried other themes and its normal.. Thanks

I tried updating but it fails, looks like it's due to vroot which I found dumps a bunch of crop in system. Unfortunately Sony don't use update.zip for ota so can't find out which patch it fails on, and the ota log contains nothing useful.
Anyway, if it's anything like 4.3 on the Z I'd advise you skip it, it's seriously buggy.

The only two problems I have are a non working Calendar App and some screen flickering, which seems to happen less and less often as time passes...

how does the battery go?how is it compared to cm11?

I cant compare to 11, but this is my results from a few days ago.
That goes to my previous record on 4.2.2 that was 7h14 of screen and 14h of battery total...

if it doesn't just switch off hardware overlay in developer settings and it's gone forever.

It does work on an XHDPI device running 4.2.2
however the 2nd widget( with the xperia S label) doesn't show all album arts unlike the other 3 widgets.

I just mix the musicwidget from xperias.
With the new musicwidget ,updatealbumart function is diferent.
In the new musicwidget from KK, The AlbumartBitmap is low quality.
So i use updatealbumart function from xperias, it causes many problems

it work for the new xperia home, if your have the new xperia home

does not update album art even on the 4x4 widget some times (smart cover)
also a sugguestion ..how about using sony pause/prev/next buttons ..would give it a proper sony look :cyclops:

Camera app has been updated!

The Camera app has just been updated on my Z5 .. unfortunately, I forgot to take a screenshot of the changelog (but mostly it seemed to be about the UI and Superior Auto seems to be improved). EDIT: see @schecter7's post directly below mine for the changelog!
Looking at it, the UI was changed the same as how it was supposed to look like based on the promo videos and demo units from before. Sadly, there is no manual shutter speed yet as far as I can see, manual focus, and still cannot change ISO when shooting at 20MP/23MP mode.
We all know thought that Sony tends to have 'hidden' changes to their algorithm whenever they have these kinds of updates as evidenced from updates before. I'm still waiting for the complete changelog from XperiaBlog but so haven't time yet to do any extensive testing.
Did you notice any significant changes in yours apart from the UI changes?

Limitet manual , no iso at 20-23 mp

I installed the update and I've noticed that the problem with noise in low-light... in fact ingeneral is a bit better. It's still not as good as the galaxy line as far as crispness / saturation, but I don't think that's Sony's goal. For real, if I could install the Samsung camera app and libraries on this phone, I'd be all over that. Anyway it does seem to have improved, noticeably.

Where can I change the GPS tag and save folder location in this new app? Can't find it. Thanks.

Trying not to speak too soon as I've not done anything near a comprehensive test but there do seem to be improvements in processing, though not as marked as I had expected. The one biggie is the zoom: to my eyes, the processing on the zoom is much better now; the sharpening fringing on edges is much smaller, which means that it's less of an oil painting mess when you crop the zoomed image. And that's in low indoor light.
8MP generally seems sharper.
More to follow.
On the interface, I note that they've hidden the exposure and colour adjustments on SA in a menu (boo!) but given a button to switch them off when you want to return to auto (yay!) swings and roundabouts but generally pleased.
EDIT: Yep, definitely better digital zoom. Good enough to piece together small text (Just about legibly) at 5x. Trust me: it was not doing that before!

I thought that this would be a given since the Z5 supports manual features now, or don't they?
Is it possible to control the shutter speed with 3rd party apps? What's the resolution and the shutter speed range? Is it actually working or does the system override the manual settings?

The fisheye effect at long focal lengths at the edges of pictures appears to have been corrected. Definite colour balance tweaks, spot on now for me.

[MOD][5.1/6.0.1]Beats™ Audio MOD For All Xperia Z2's!

Hi everyone. Today I'm just sharing some work from someone else. No one has tested the Audio mod on their Z2 yet, (according to the Original thread) so I tried it and it worked like a charm!
Features that I experienced on my Z2...
-Click sound is much more clear.

No. Not at all. I tested it on my Xperia Z2 Marshmallow 570 firmware. No bootloops at all.
