HI There ! I own a LG F320L for sometime now. It came with Kitkat 4.4.2 installed and then i flashed it with CloudyG2 rom and have been using it ever since. For the past 1 month I have this strange touch screen issue with erratic behaviour and phantom touches. It has been addressed as software related issue and going back to stock has fixed some of the users problem.
Now to the main issue, I followed the tutorial of LG FLASH TOOL Method upto the point. Installed drivers and have downloaded the KDZ for stock kitkat but when I enter the download mode and LG flash tool begins to start it doesnt even verify my phone. It keeps stopping at 2% software extraction (sometimes 4%) and then a dialog appears saying Disconnect phone and remove battery and then again put the battery in and connect your phone and try. I have been trying it for many hours but it doesnt make any difference. I have used unrooter tool to unroot my phone for download mode. I have also tried the TOT method for going back to stock but no success. Whenever I plug in my device it appears in device manager but it is not recognized by FLash tool still. Please help me. I have TWRP 2.8.4.0 Recovery installed.
I am running windows 8.1 X64. The drivers install with no problem.
P.S I have searched all the threads regarding flash tool problems and download mode recognition. I didnt find anything helpful.
Hey guys!!!
Can you please help me with this?
Yesterday i tried to install a new ROM on my LG Android phone (My LG phone is not working properly, it has a reboot loop). I tried to do a factory reset without success -> the dead Android logo appeared :/
I put my phone in Download Mode and connected to the pc but Windows does not recognize my phone.. it says: "USB device not recognized.. the last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it"
I do not know what to do now.. when i try to flash a ROM with the LG Flash Tool it fails because LG program does not recognize my device..
PS: LG Support Tool recognizes my phone (it shows the model) but i cannot flash a ROM
Thanks!!:fingers-crossed:

Were you using a custom recovery? (i.e. TWRP)? If so, are you able to boot into recovery? It was a few years ago but whenever that happened to me I would have to use the hard reset option. If I remember correctly, on my LGG2, I would hold down the power button and the volume down button at the same time until the LG logo appears, then right when it appears, release and re-press both buttons again holding them down again until the hard reset option showed. Then when it asked me if I was sure I wanted to reset my phone, select yes (it made nervous the first ten times or so). Eventually I began to trust it would, in fact, do what I was informed it would do which was boot into TWRP without actually resetting anything. From there I was always able to flash a new ROM etc. Anyway, if you knew all that sorry, just trying to help. If not, please get second opinions since I will not be held responsible for your device and since it's been years since I tinkered with mine. Having a Samsung now, I don't mess with it cause rooting a Samsung Note trips Knox and then Samsung Pay is disabled.
Anyway, happy flashing and best of luck to you. It was an awesome hobby while I was involved with it.
Cheers!

Hello my friends.
I installed CloudyG2 3.3 to my LG G2. And on this morning, my phone closed. I tried to open but, i can't. The screen stayed at LG logo screen. So i tried to do Hard Reset with buttons. I said Yes-Yes but there was something wrong.. A mistake. (boot certification error) I can't enter TWRP screen.
I tried to install stock rom with Flash Tool. But i can't.. Again.. Because it stuck at %2..
So i can't install stock rom and i can't open my phone. Can anybody help me?
Sorry my bad English.

First of all power of your phone by long pressing power button until screen light goes off completely
Then keep pressing volume + button and connect it to PC via USB cable. [DOWNLOAD MODE]
Now you must be in download mode, simply flash stock firmware.
If you can't enter download mode then you might be in fastboot mode.
here are some threads..find out which one is related to your problem follow instructions carefully.

Thank you my friend for all your answers. In substance;
I can't open my phone. (Staying at LG logo screen.)
I can't do "Hard Reset" with phone buttons. (Because of "boot certification error" screen.)
I can enter "Download Mode" but I can't loading any .KDZ file with Flash Tool. (Stuck at %2)
My computer can't see my phone when I plug that.
Very hard situation. :crying:

Reinstall LG drivers and PDA
then connect phone with PC in download mode.
open device manager and search for 'COM ports' list if you see your device there then you are ready to go.
If your device is not there then search under 'Other devices' and manually install drivers.
If you can boot into download mode and still you can't see your device in your PC then it's not problem with your G2. It's your PC which is causing it all.
Try another PC.

Hi guys
At first - I tried a method given on this forum: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a1/help/phone-goes-to-qualcomm-hs-usb-qdloader-t3757867
This method doesn't work for me, because after disconnect my PC doesn't recognize my phone.
Phone is in Qualcom HS-USB Diagnostics 900E mode after OTA update (Mi A1 April Update) - strange
So guys... I know there are some magicians who can do almost everything.. Any ideas what to do?
Does MiFlash recognize your phone? If not, try instaling ADB drivers nd disable driver enforcment,
To kick device out of diagnostic mode and into QDLoader you will need either:
1) A "deep flash" cable
2) Take the phone apart and bridge test points
There are guides online for both, you can Google. You can make deep flash cable yourself fairly easily with a spare USB cable. Testpoint location is found easily via Google and can be bridged with tweezers or small flat-head screwdriver.
I did NOT have success with deep flash cable myself, I had to use testpoint method (and sadly broke my LCD in the process). The deep flash issue might of been because I was in Windows 10 x64 or on a USB3 port. If you do go that route and can't get it working, try with a Windows 7 x86 VM and USB2 passthrough mode before last resort of taking device apart.
Hold power button for 20 sec then volume down and fastboot will apear
1. install all necessary drivers (adb, qualcomm's HS-USB Diagnostics 900E, xiaomi flash tool)
2. use test point method as suggested by @CosmicDan - lots of tutorial on web on how to do this. Carefully read this before actually attempting it.
3. When you successfully do the test point method you will hear the device recognized sound on your computer
4. when you hear it, open miflashtool and your device should show up in it.
5. if not, reboot your PC. You should reboot your PC after installing all the drivers. See #1. (reboot required)
6. Once you successfully see your device on miflashtool, you can flash the fastboot rom of your choice.
7. (you might get stuck on "Can't receive hello packet" dialogue which will prevent your device from flashing), in that case change the USB port, possibly to USB 2.0 and try the test point flash method again to get detected and try flashing again.
8. Test point method should be done everytime you disconnect the USB from your phone and computer, hopefully you only need to do it twice.
9. Sadly for me, I am still unable to flash stock roms with this method, my problem is kind of unique, after flashing it shows me "Your phone is destroyed, press power to turn off" dialogue. lmao
10. if you get the same message then you dun goof'd. Hopefully yours will successfully flash.
Oh and only one version of fastboot ROM actually revives the phone, other fastboot roms actually puts it to coma (vibrating every one second, no display, no nothing). Only one fastboot ROM allows me to go to fastboot and flash recoveries. But if I flash any ROM (stock or custom) it kills the phone again and I have to repeat the given method and try again with another rom. I think the phone is effectively dead. What a **** phone! lol

Did you do factory flash mode? That's the only one that can recovery it, the other scripts won't flash everything.
Note that because you didn't backup partitions you will also wipe the IMEI, or so I've read (I backed up my whole device via emmcdl before brick so I was able to recover fine without miflash)

Actually I think I got scammed. It is Mi5x sold as MiA1. ****ing chinks! Anyway, I managed to install (Tiffany) on it and now it is booting to boot logo and bootlooping. I can get to fastboot and default (MIUI's) recovery by pressing button combos. But OEM is locked now so I cannot flash TWRP or other ROMs in it. I will have to EDL flash back to that MIA1 ROM to get it unlocked from fastboot. Otherwise MIUI unlocker asks me to link my miui account to this phone by going to settings, which I can't do because it is not booting up.
funny situation.

If you feel vibration then you are so lucky

Fastboot rom for Mi5x because the phone is Mi5x.
Hey everyone,
I'm very new to Android development and XDA, but a few years ago I bricked this LG G2 and I don't really remember how, except that I rooted it and tried to install a custom ROM, which obviously didn't work.
I have tried a number of different guides on these forums, but somewhere or another I get stuck on them.
[HOW TO] Fix your soft-bricked LG G2 (All Variants)
I'll be very specific, something most people lack of. Okay lets get to it, I recently bricked my LG G2 (D801) by installing a ROM that wasn't compatible with my model. I fixed it by doing the following steps. This worked for me using Windows 8.1...
forum.xda-developers.com
With this one, although the device shows up in Devices and Printers, neither Fastboot nor the LG Flash Tool detect it. I have installed both the LG Mobile Driver and the LG United Mobile Driver.
“./fastboot devices” is empty.
I have the TOT file and the DLL that the (patched version of the) LG Flash Tool requires.
I have an Ubuntu 20.04 install as well as Windows 11. I can get into Firmware Update with a USB icon ("Do not unplug the USB connection until the process is complete. 0%." ...etc), when I turn it on normally it shows a battery made out of grey and white bars and a percentage, and sometimes the LG logo.
If you need to know anything else don't hesitate to ask \
Much appreciated,
ninjadev64
use a usb 2.0 port, update adb/fastboot, update drivers, remove previous related devices using nirsoft usbdeview. try using a windows 7 or earlier system. can you manually get into recovery? if so update to latest blastagator twrp which should be 3.3.1.

- I was using a 3.0 port, although it still showed up in Control Panel - I’ll try with a 2.0 port today
- I installed “Minimal ADB and Fastboot” and the drivers yesterday, so they should be up to date
- I’ll use usbdeview too
- I can’t use an older system unfortunately
- How do I get into recovery?
Recovery: With the device powered off and usb unplugged, hold Volume Down + Power. When the LG logo appears, release both buttons and hold Volume Up + Volume Down.
Ok, so I got into a factory reset screen that way, I said yes to factory reset, is that the right thing to do? (@DvineLord)
ADB recognises the device, but it's unauthorised. And I obviously can't boot it up to authorise it.
Factory reset just got me back to the LG screen for a long time, so I powered it off again.
Also, when I try to change the COM port to 41, when I click Advanced in Port Settings, it just stops me with "You must have write privileges in the registry for this device in order to modify the device's advanced settings".
I can't find the right path for the device in regedit to follow these steps: https://forums.techguy.org/threads/need-write-permission-for-com1-port.577543/#post-4756991
Were you able to get into Recovery? or did you get into Bootloader/Fastboot/Download?
Bootloader/Fastboot/Download: With the device powered off, hold Volume Up and connect the USB cable.
You want to be in Recovery like I posted above. Do you have TWRP on your device?

The recovery method you said to try got me into a factory reset screen, as I stated. All the other recovery methods I saw online didn’t work, so maybe I have no recovery?
I said in the original post that I can obtain download mode. I recognise “TWRP” but I’m pretty sure I botched it up while installing it, because I didn’t know how any of this worked, 4 years ago.
Thank you!
Unfortunate you can't get ADB/Fastboot working.

Soo... what can I do?
Try to recall as closely as possible the exact steps you used to modify your device. autorec, ioroot, stump root, avicohh, stock build you were on, custom rom you tried to flash, custom recovery, bootstacks, custom kernel, etc.
Odds are you'll have to try again to flash back to stock, something which I haven't done yet.
Unfortunately all I know is that I tried to install a custom ROM, scuffed up when I was installing twrp, the ROM didn't work and now I have no recovery to fix it. Flash back to stock *is* what I'm trying to do (that's your third question/point which I've already explained in the original post).
If anyone with the same problem visits this in the future, please save this post and share your solution if you find one, cause I'm still stuck!
hope you get it flashed back to stock. make sure to do the first 5 things i listed in my initial post to see if that helps you flash back to stock. the data cable can also make a difference sometimes too.
