Anyone knows how to enable "guest account" or additional users accounts on the phone? I searched but did not find this anyware, only saw the private mode... which is not what i need.
Samsung disabled it. As far as I know you can edit the bootloader and enable it. This requires root off course.

I rooted my Galaxy s5 g900t with towelroot and downloaded supersu, I accidently disabled knox through supersu and my private mode will not work. I did have xposed installer as well but i believe it is now uninstalled. I have also noticed that i cannot switch from dalvik runtime to art runtime anymore as well. Considering i am a new to rooting, i plunged in without creating a backup of my photos and videos , does anyone know of a way to re enable knox, or to retrieve private mode photos or videos in any other way or are they a lost cause? If someone can help me retrieve them, ill allow them to see the videos lol just kidding, but help is appreciated! A pre-thanks to anyone who can help!
There is no need to open multiple threads on the same subject. Why don't you continue with your first thread about this that already has replies?
Your original thread: rooted galaxy s5 will not enable private move
.
Still trying to figure out the lay of the land.

Hey, just recently got a brand new S7 Edge financed from T Mobile, OEM unlock is turned on in developer settings. Is there a way to root this device, and if so, what is the safest/best method to do this?
Best method is in link below

Turning OEM unlock does nothing but stop security updates. Our bootloader is locked even when OEM unlock is ticked.

There are two different methods depending on if you are on MM or Nougat.
So choose the appropriate zip package for your OS.
It does make some of the transitions a little leggy, especially the settings app.
Yes you can root. It's not perfect but it's the only method I'm ware of. The link is in my signature. Do yourself a favor and read thru the thread. There is lots of good information.
Success varies from unique device to unique device. Some have had excellent success with minimal setbacks. Others have had poor experiences. So read, read, read and then read some more. I know that's not a popular answer, but it's the safest way for you to understand what's going on, what to expect, and how to accomplish your root with the least amount of grief.
Good luck!
Sent from my Rooted Galaxy S7 EDGE on Android 7.0 Nougat, here's the instructions how to do it!
Hi there, i'm hoping im correct here. I own an S7 Edge (935-F) and for an Medical App that i need urgently, i want to fake for the App that my Device is an S7 (930-F) is that possible without Root?
I'm on Nougat DBT, any Hints or Tipps? The App Developer just let me ran an Galaxy S7 on Nougat
With root u can do almost anything with your smartphone. If you are interested there's special apps that was made for this purpose, really i can't remember how it called but u can always search on google and u can easily find and download.
If that's not working for you, there is another way to change it in the system files with root explorer.
But with this way its possible to damage your system.
Its better to get ur files and system packed up before doing anything specially with rooted device, for that purpose u can use recovery mode.

I brought s7 edge when I enter my account it asked for the user before me when I asked seller he told me he has no idea what it was how can I bypass it because I can't take my money back
Check YouTube, look for the latest one or one that matches the android version you're on. I accidentally locked myself out of mine months ago and managed to unlock it.
