Hey guys am using a Samsung s7 edge purchased from carphone warehouse in UK on a 24month contract with EE. The issue is that when am sending sms texts a long sms text is auto sending as mms even though I have mms texts set to warning. I receive the warning when I send a actual picture but when I send a message just full of text it auto converts to mms and sends I don't want to install a 3rd party sms app and I pay for unlimited texts I could understand being charged for mms if it was a actual picture but to just send TEXT and as a dep manager of a company am always sending long texts to my staff this is going to cost me a fortune anyone help?

Unfortunately this can't be changed in the stock app. That's one of the reasons I don't use it.
If you do decide to go with a 3rd party sms app, I would definately recommend AwSMS it's awesome.

Ahhh I see. I never had this problem with my note 4 so I don't understand why samsung has made this changes. And if I download this AwSMS then I will be able to send my long texts as sms instead of mms and the emoji problem I have seen being encountered will be sms not mms as well?

Ever since I upgraded to WM5.0 (Magneto) I started having problems sending SMS. Under WM2003 and WM2003SE it was working fine.
I can receive them OK, but unfortunately I just can't reply nor create a new message.
I always get a "Your text message cannot be sent."
No matter what I do, it's always the same error!
I have checked my Text Message Service Center number (Telcel) which is :+5294100001410 (I verified this number from another phone I have).
Have you experienced any problems with SMS once you upgraded to Magneto?
Any ideas?...

try removing the countrycode and see if it helps
I've actually found that some carriers dont like the additional characters for punctuation:
I'm
can't
don't
won't
etc .. once I remove those there are no issues in sending the message

Are you talking about the carrier name? (i.e. O2, TMOBILE, etc)? Should I change it to TELCEL (my carrier)? Leave it blank? or is it something else I need to edit on the ROM? I tried looking for the 44 00 65 00 76 00 41 00 HEX String in the nk.nba file but found nothing.
@ itr2401, it's possible, but I have tried to send very simple texts (i.e. abcdefg) and still no good!...
P.S.- I even tried changing Radio versions but it did not fix anything (except that 1.17 is more stable, better signal and quicker mode changes but this is another topic).

i dont know just was an idear to try and remove the country code part of the nr
as in +5294100001410 nr with country code
94100001410 nr without country code
the + and the first 2 nr's are country code's
Okay... Finally found the solution to my problem...
I just learned that my provider had given me an old SIM card (Type: GEMPLUS V1), well, actually, I have this SIM Card since a long time ago, and that was ok with Windows Mobile 2002, 2003 and 2003SE. But it appears that Windows Mobile 5.0 has problems reading it or it's not 100% compatible. (according to my provider, some new top-of-the-line mobile phones have problems with old SIMs too.)
So I went to my nearest Telcel Customer Service Center and purchased a brand new SIM Card (Type: H1 V3.5) and transfered my phone number to that new SIM Card and that did the trick!!!
With the new V3.5 SIM Card I'm able to send and receive Text Messages again!!!

Omfg, still problem with sms. When i sent sms ( havent it in drafts, it is in sent items and i have delivery report) recipient have nothink!!!!!!!!!!!!
report says message is delivered and it is not? may try sending sms to yourself for extra check?

That sounds like a problem with their network, not your phone. Try sending each other messages and see how you get on.
I complain it at my mobile operator O2 CZ, but they said that is all ok. Recipient has Vodafone CZ and they said that all is ok...
Both operators say all is OK but 5 sms from 10 not received ((( Dont know where is problem..

I know you got delivery reports, but have you checked your outbox, just to be 100% sure?

Hmm, problem is only to Operator Vodafone. Is possible, that sms are especial in code? I mean that sms have another form than normal low-end telephone?

Hmm, but you have different problem. Your solved is when you have ROM 1,48 SMSHOTFIX from HTC.com. I havent problem with sms in outbox. I have delivery report but recipent havent sms

was wondering if there's any way to change it other than third party apps (i know handcent works)

you can change this in the sms settings!!!
here every single sms cost 25 cent
so,
25*3=75
and the mms cost 50 cent n u can writ as much as u want on it smart droid lol
my carrier allowed me to send unlimited text so yeah lol
Well here it costs 9.9c per SMS, and 50c for a mms, so really it should be changing it after 5 messages.

Except that there are often plans where you get 1K free SMS, which does not include MMS...
0*3 = 0
1*50 = 50
Same here. I have unlimited txts but I'm paying for mms. Fortunately you can change that option in handcent sms

Wrongly, i sent a message to +1 333 44 55 but i had to send to +90 333 44 55. My country code is +90 and Usa is +1. So, i lost money because off country sms is being chargiedmoney.
So then i try to sent +90 333 44 55 again but it again sent to +1
I created a contact and i saved it with +90 and sent it messages but all of them to +1 !
When message is received, in conservation mode i can see the message with same conservation. But in same conservation, when i try to send again, it again sends to +1. I cant change that. I delete contacts, create another contact but it is same.
Please help..

Hi, I bought chatsim couple of weeks ago and is successfully activated. Today I was in overseas and wanted to use it, but I couldn't do it.
I was looking on the internet and found this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zG8KKaH9B8 in the minute 6:06 they talk about add another user (WITH YOUR CHATSIM PHONE NUMBER) in order to use chatsim. Here is my question:
I have a dualsim phone (Letv X800) and have on mu dutch number whatsapp running. In order to use chatsim (phone number +44number) I need to create/activate it within whatsapp, right? Do you have any idea how to do it without using the method mentioned on the video?
