Please use the console, running the following command, I think this will help tezet.
1. su -
2. dmesg > /sdcard/dmesg.log
3. logcat -t time -d > /sdcard/logcat.log
Please parse the logcat.log and mesg.log in here. It can help rd to analyse what's wrong it is.
ok i have make this (see in attachement in zip file)
I do your command in terminal
install bubbleupnp
search dlna server (no discovery and wifi crash)
close app bubbleupnp
switch of wifi
switch on wifi (wifi now working)
close terminal
I have install ago app Wifi Fixer of Zanshin-g1 but don't help me
thanks for interesting

Guys,
I am having exactly the same problem. Installed CM10, tried BubbleUPnP, Media House... same effects. Did not find any device (which were found before with stock GB, and also by other devices yet) and crashes / freezes the Wi-Fi.
Does anyone have any solution?
Regards!
I'm having the same problem, but on a different device and a different rom: Droid 2 Global, running AOKP-Kanged v1.8 (4.0.4). was running CM7 GB but decided to change roms today because the Wi-Fi has always had issues dropping out after a random amount of time. I use the device mainly for streaming internet radio and as a DLNA client, so if wifi isn't stable, it's pretty annoying/useless to me.
Anyhow, updated to this new rom and was thrilled that I could stream internet radio for hours without the Wi-Fi cutting out. Awesome!!
Then I installed MediaHouse (upon/dlna client) which has worked really well for me on this and other devices, and spent the next several hours tearing my hair out because of wifi issues.
As OP has said, when the dlna app tries to discover the servers, it does something to the Wi-Fi where it looks like it's connected, but the connection is completely hosed. The app never picks up the server either.
So far I've tried MediaHouse and Skifta. Both have worked in the past, but neither work now; they both send wifi into a tail spin. I also have a tv, an Xbox 360, and a Galaxy S3 and they can all connect to the server fine, so I know it's the phone, and that it's only started being a problem after switching to this rom.
I'm very interested in following this issue. If there's anything I can do to debug this, I'm happy to do so and post findings.

And I'm having the same problem = /
Has anyone got any solution? Has anyone talked to TEZET about this problem?
I had the same problem when I used the CM9of alecx804 and not had this problem using of CM10.1 Eagle_Mars (I just do not use more of Eagle_Mars because the bluetooth does not work for media ç.ç)
Only remains this to this ROM be perfect, it would be cool to send it to Motorola to show that the Milestone 2 can receive updates of the operating system and can be faster than the original with Motoblur.
Any news? Any solution fo DLNA?
I have tried to search for an answer to this with no real success. I believe that it is possible to connect a USB 3G dongle such as Huawei E1750 to an MK809 such as Justop K9. Hopefully someone will be able to confirm that? Then I would like to know if it is possible to then share that 3G connection via wifi tethering to other devices.
Basically I'm trying to combine 3G modem and wifi router into a hdmi stick/dongle. If anyone has tried this I would be interested to hear their experience. If it is someting that is really not practical then I more than likely will give it a miss. I would need to use this as my "main" internet connection, although I wouldn't consider myself a "power user" I do stream youtube and online such as BBC iPlayer. I have had good experience with wifi tethering using my old HTC HD2 (flashed with android 4.0) and can get 4Mb connection speeds which allows me to stream no problem.
If this works well I would then be connecting a usb hard drive and using webdav server app to share the contents to my other devices.
I would appreciate any guidance! :good:
P.S. I notice that I'm not supposed to post questions in here, but I can see a few questions already within this section and it seems like the best place for this question to me. Mods, please move it if you need to.
I think it could be done as long as the router has a connection but just a bit of info, I watch YouTube quite a bit maybe 4-5 20/30min vids a day and in the past 7 days YouTube has used probably 12gig of data. Since everything is HD. I know a lot of dongles have data limits. IPlayer doesn't work great these devices for now you have to use the flash version and its a little buggy. Its best to get it from xbmc add on.
Oh and the 808 doesn't have tether not sure about the 809

Thanks for the reply.
It's a virgin media contract I'm looking at. Supposedly truly unlimited according to vm themselves and can be used to tether. I got my dad one and he uses it to tether his laptop and ubisurfer when away. It works very well when I've tried it myself.
Thanks for the tip about tethering on 808. I imagine this is just a software limitation? It was possibly never considered when the rom was built. I think there are Google play apps that will enable this on phones that didn't have it as an original option. I'm hoping it will work in a similar way.
Xbmc will be on my list. I assume it's possible to side load flash onto these things.
Can't answer your 3g question but just bought the mk809 justop k9 and it comes pre installed with flash. Have xbmc installed and it works brilliantly with streaming from my server, an app called tvcatchup and all the usual on demand add ons.

yes that would be interesting. I know that a lot of usb devices are supported. tried a webcam on it. Works perfect in combination with skype. for wath I read. its also possible to use a usb to lan adapter. maybe an option for the poor reception.
but a 3g dongle. got to see that.

Thanks for that. It is nice to hear a positive review about the Justop K9 as I was considering one anyway. This project might just save me some money having to buy other equipment. Would you be able to try whether you can install one of the free non root wifi tether apps from the play store? Obviously there would be no internet connection, but if you can establish a wifi hotspot and connect a phone to it then it's a good sign.
As for the USB to ethernet, I have a couple of those connectors spare. I'm aware you can use them on various android devices to give them an internet connection, but I don't know whether the reverse is true? Is it possible to share a 3G connection to the USB, and via the ethernet connection to a separate wifi router for instance? I can't find a good answer to that. I'm gonna have a play with my TF700 and see what I can accomplish!
Regards,
John
No need to install an app, android 4 onwards supports wifi tethering natively. Just needed to go into the 'more' menu and set up from there. Managed to connect easily with my Sony Tablet but, as you say, couldn't browse as the stick wifi was being used to tether.
Spoke too soon on the on demand stuff, seems itv player, 4od and 5od have been messing around with their encryption so the xbmc add ons have stopped working, I'm sure the devs are working on it. Iplayer add on still works and there is a work around using firefox anyway.
Can't help with your other query I'm afraid, sorry.

I finally got a Bluetooth PAN app to work. I have a rooted Motoactv and have been searching for a way to connect the watch without the battery dain of having the wifi radio running for extended period of time. With bluetooth tethering, I can run it all day and have my watch connected whenever I want to do sonething requiring internet access.
The apps name is Bluetooth PAN Client by SilentLexx, just do a search in tbe Android Market. It requires superuser permission so make sure you have "accept" automatically selected in your superuser settings, so you dont get the prompt without the pop up window to accept it.
Works great!
Not sure how much of a difference it would make since my actv has good battery life. I would still try it. Thanks for the info
What kind of battery life you talking about
Well, when wifi is connected, I get 4hrs. With Bluetooth PAN, triple that.
Note that this method has all kinds of issues with apps that check connectivity using the normal java system calls, which are basically buggy (they only report connectivity for wifi or mobile network, not for PAN or VPNs). Unfortunately this is a large number of apps, including google's own. Therefore when using PAN, most email won't sync, apps won't update etc etc.
Oh wow, thanks for that info. I was wondering why I couldn't get Google Voice to work like usual.
I just use it to do quick on demand web surfing/Google searches, eBay, Craigslist, Slacker radio, weather, and email. I just manually refresh my email accounts as I see the need.
Navigation works great with BT PAN and since it has a huge power savings, I use it all the time for turn-by-turn nav.
Hi I've been using the Motoactv for a couple weeks and have gotten it rooted. I am really interested in tethering through bluetooth. I read about you downloading Bluetooth Pan and getting it to work. I tried this today but I have not gotten it to work. Can you give a detailed description of what you did? I tried downloading Bluetooth Pan on both phone (Samsung S3) and Motoactv but I wasn't able to get it to work. Thank you in advance!
To date, I dont think your S3 has bluetooth tethering until it updates to 4.3 which should be very soon, matter of days. You only need the app. on the Actv, launch it and select your phone as the device and select connect. Let me know what errors your getting we can troubleshoot.

I am able to BT tether my motoACTV to my VZW S3 running a 4.1.2 ROM. 4.3 is not a requirement.
The main issue I had was that I could not access the "Tap to connect" button in the Bluetooth PAN for root app on my motoACTV in order to initiate the connection with my phone as the stock dpi (120) would not show the button. I am using the Xposed framework and App Settings apk for Gingerbread to allow per-app DPI and had to set the DPI of the BT PAN for root app to 90dpi in order to access the "Tap to Connect" button on the actv.
On the S3, be sure that bluetooth tethering is enabled by going into Settings -> More Settings (Wireless and Networks) -> Tethering -> Bluetooth Tethering.
Hope this helps.
Thats a simple fix. Go into the PAN app. setting and select the Auto Switch and Auto Connect by checking the boxes. Should work fine.

How do you turn off tethering when you want to using this option? Do you manually turn off BT?

That's interesting, I think the problem is that my phone is AT&T S3 and in the stock 4.1.2 there's no option for "bluetooth tethering" under tethering and portable hotspot menu. I'm guessing like OP said maybe have to wait for 4.3.
I also had a hard time with the "Tap to connect" button too because I can't see. Eventually when I am able to get it to bluetooth tether I will revisit the Xposed framework.
Thanks for your help!!

You can leave it running as it doen't run your battery down or inhibit you from connecting other BT items to the Actv. Or just turn off your BT tethering from your phone.

No problem. Alternatively, you can try an app for your phone like FoxFi or an older Wifi Tethering by TrevE apk (supports BT tether). Just throwing out options while waiting for the official update.

The issue I've had with BT tether is that certain apps don't recognize it as a valid connection (has been discussed before). For example, with the market, I can browse apps but when it comes time to actually download or update an app, the process will hang when tethering. Need to switch to wifi to do it which requires disabling BT tether first (or there are conflicts). I suppose I could do it from the phone but I like controlling it for the ACTV.
Good to know the options are there though. Thanks.

I have an AT&T S4 with 4.3. Still no bt tether. I can't even get foxfi to work. It starts and enables the bt tether, but no devices can use it. Does it need root maybe?

No, make sure that you have connected it to the Motoactv sync at least once, so the Actv. has your devise in the BT registry. Once listed on the BT Pan app. you should be able to initiate the connection via the Actv.
I'm curious, what apps are people successfully using with BT PAN, and with which ROM (dprom or ClearD)? I can connect to my Droid 4 using SilentLexx's Bluetooth PAN for Root Users, but nothing seems to work including Boat Browser, which I thought others had reported as working.
Using CleatD and SilentLexx: Boat Browser, Navigation, Google Maps, News Republic, News and Weather widget.

If you can install xposed framework, GravityBox has a `network spoofer' that tricks the system into thinking wifi is active instead of BT PAN. I tried it on my Galaxy Gear, have not made the time to do so on my Moto. The thread that talks aboot it is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48324006
If that method isn't viable, then perhaps there is another spoofer on the market to achieve the same goal....

Hey guys,
So, I'm on Lollipip (Temasek 10.5 5.1.1 to be exact) and I've found after using it for a few days that one of the new features that Google put in is making wifi really frustrating.
When it detects a wifi as having no internet connection, it puts it into a blacklist so that it doesn't keep trying to connect. Now, as I'm in China, I'm basically getting all my hotspots blocked. I have to manually click each one and Connect.
My question is there any way to disable this or to enter the target server google uses to check if internet works or not? If I could change it to a local Chinese website, then it should be fine too.
Thx

Hello there all around.
Maybe already someone mentioned earlier...
Can't Downloading some games ( I presume big files) from store, it gives error - waiting for network, or not shown at all progres, or king of pending procedure. I'm feeding shield with Hotspot from phone, but I know definitely my provide have no restrictions, coz downloading constantly torrent, movies, big files etc on pc and phone it self on same network. I tried all kind of tests clear Google play store cash/ data, reset factory device all this things and non of them helps. Should I go and rooted and edit host file or any kind suggestions? Any other suggestions very appreciated.

I had the EXACT same problem. I was using my phone as a hotspot, and certain apps would download just fine, but one in particular, Minecraft Story Mode, just kept showing "waiting for network". The only way I got through it was to take my Shield to work. I plugged it into my ethernet at the office and it downloaded just fine.
I agree with you that the hotspot shouldn't have anything to do with it, but it seems it does. I tried clearing data in google play, clearing it in google play services, uninstalling updates, etc. In my research I found that when Sprint first rolled out the first 4G network in the U.S., people were having the same problem with the play store. It has to be something about the traffic. The only thing I would suggest is try a VPN with your hotspot if you absolutely can't get to a place with WiFi or ethernet.

Not sure if it's connected but the same thing happens on my Sony 2015 Android TV (permanently connected via cable to a perfectly working NAT router). The Play app received a major redesign recently but still seems to have its quirks.
The thread /r/AndroidTV/comments/3r572z mentions it as a bug in the latest play store build.
I had this problem since the start its only app over 50mb, then it was 60mb after an update, now with the new revamped play store for ATV the problem is fixed, for me at least
