For weeks I have been trying to take advantage of the BB 200. gift card offer for Sprint N4 white. checking the web site day and night every day, calling my local store NEVER in stock and "Sold out online" Offer ended last night, this morning for the first time my local store now has them in stock. What a scam.
I thought the $200.00 BB thing was for pre orders only....

NO because you could also use the credit towards buying an S5 as well.
I remember seeing and or reading that this offer was good on pre-orders on the note 4 which had a release day of 10/17 so that made the offer invalid after that. I heard of people using it towards an S5, i have no idea why but hey to each their own. I was also told that when my phone came in that they would only hold my pre order for a day.
They had the offer under "Weekly Specials" Oct26-Nov.1 for Note4 and S5
Could have purchased the s5 and returned within the 14 day period for note 4

Finally yesterday a bb 70 miles north had them in Stock. Hauled ass and bought one with a $200 trade in for an old LG Optimus m. Funny thing, when I got there the "consutants" couldn't find them. Chewed my nails for about an hour. Ended up being $165 out the door.
Had no problem with my trade in and 200 towards my note 4. All best buys in my are have had them all week.
They completely screwed me out of my $200 even on a pre-order. I had spoken with a rep who suggested I have the pre-order shipped to home to avoid the out of stock store issues (like she knew in advance it was going to happen). When I got my Note 4, I went to my local Worstbuy and they told me that it had to be picked up at the store. When I asked to see that in writing, the manager stuttered and walked away to send a message back through another associate that he couldn't honor it. When I went to another store the next day, I was told that the program was changed to the trade in had to be the most recent phone on that line. I wasn't giving up my Note 3, so he tried a few different things but couldn't override the system. He told me to just call Worstbuy back office and they will take care of it. After days of unanswered calls and ridiculous wait times, I sent a few emails. They each took 48 hours to answer, with no resolution yet. I'm waiting for the nonsense they will try to spew out next. This was the last time I pre-order anything through them, and quite possibly buy anything from them.
Well it worked for me yesterday. I've been checking the stock every day since they came out. Both white and black were in stock briefly last weekend but i couldn't make it to the store. The black one came back in stock Friday and I went up first thing Saturday and purchased it. I traded in my old nexus 4g for it. I haven't had that active on my account for years. I also got the $50 phone freedom giftcard. So i paid $49.99 plus tax for my new note 4.

A moderator there, Allan-BBY, has been working relentlessly (weekdays only) to help straighten out customer issues by directly emailing managers of problematic stores. He has said many, many times that Best Buy corporate has decided it WILL honor all preorders regardless of when the device comes in. I have not heard anything about excluding ones placed after 10/17. Also, just tonight a regular employee from Best Buy mobile posted, confirming the system was still giving them the option to honor the promo.
If you're having problems, I highly suggest you make an account there and post a reply or directly message Allan-BBY so he can straighten things out with stores who are confused.

So your saying Sunday Nov.2 after the promo ended BB honored the 200. gift card deal?
I also thought it was a scam. I called about 6 best buys a day and they all said they were still filling in pre-orders. Finally on Oct 31, I just went to the store thinking I would just get the S5 for now and then exchange it for a note 4 when they finally have it in stock within the 14 day period. Long and behold I walked in and asked if they had any note 4s in stock for Sprint and he said yes. I first thought they were joking and was a little surprised. I ended up upgrading 2 of our phones and got very lucky on getting them. I had my old EVO and an old MY Touch HTC one phone to trade in.
The sales rep started looking into the system to make sure my trade in phones were eligible and he said that EVO was eligible and the HTC one was not. Then I questioned him saying that your add says any working smart phone then he showed me something in fine print that said some BS that not all phones may be eligible. I was a little shocked so I asked him what system are they checking to see if the phones are eligible? He told me to go to bestbuy.com/tradein. So while I waited I started to look and long and behold that My touch HTC one was listed online so I showed it to him. He ended up saying he didn't see it because it was on the bottom of the list and they ended up giving me the rebate for both of the phones. I later find out from another sell rep that he didn't realize the phone was an HTC so he ended up looking for just "My touch" rather than "HTC My Touch". Lesson learned to make sure to look up the phone online before you go to the store.

Actually i was able to preorder my note 4 and I traded my Old s3. But some thing happened. Sprint didn't put their system that I got note 4. So even though i got my not 4 on easy pay but again there's no record which shows that I have installment on this phone. That means i got my note 4 for only 30 dollars, but i should also receive $200 from sumsung. So now I'm thinking not to claim Samsung's money because they might call sprint and ask them about this phone. What do you guys think?

That is what the rep told us to do. They were sold out of the 4.
The US release of the Galaxy Note Edge is a complete mess. No one seems to know when the phone is due to come out. Not sure where those press releases came from last week but they seem to be wrong. I just came from an AT&T store and they have no clue when they will be getting the phone. I called every Besy Buy in Milwaukee and they don't have a clue either. I have Verizon and it hasn't even passed to FCC for Verizon yet. What is the deal with the phone? If they are having issues manufacturing the phone then just say so and push the date back. They announced the phone back in September and there is just as much uncertainty now as there was two months ago. Looks like I'm just gonna stick with the Note 4 and then just wait for the HTC M9 to come out next year.

The 14th has been the date so we will find out this friday.
The people at these stores are told to not tell customers when new phones are coming out because they want you to buy a phone right then and there so that after you do buy it you can be mad at yourself for not waiting and then spend more money on buying another new phone.
I was talking to a TMO rep last week about the 14th date and she went out of her way to make sure I understood she was saying she had no confirmation of the phone being released on the 14th even after she slipped and told me that she wasnt sure if they were doing pre-orders.
Tmobile's website also lists the 14th as a date.

That may be the case at some stores but when the Note 4 was coming out Best Buy was able to say it would be in on 10/17. I bought the Droid Turbo two weeks ago and I was in the Verizon store a few days before it was released and they even pulled out their store display model and let me hold it. And not to mention you could pre-order the Note 4 on all 4 major US carriers once they announced the release date. I still keep seeing websites saying it'll be out on the 14th on all the major US carriers and I find that hard to believe especially when the Verizon model never passed thru FCC.

To tell the truth i have heard nothing about Verizon and the Note edge it has all been Tmobile and ATT. There has been small word on the Sprint one but not much.
Its possible that they dont have a confirmed date yet. There was a user that posted a screen shot of them saying something about the 14th or 17th.
All i know is there is no fussin until Friday the 14th lol....
But really we just gotta wait and see.
I believe samsung didnt push this phone as much as they should ,but samsung does suck at getting the word out there before the device is out.
We have a few more days and we will see what happens.
In the Sprint newsroom section it does say the 14th. However, I did chat with a Sprint rep earlier and they acted like they didn't know about it.
i emailed 2 bestbuy about pre-order att note edge.
1 bestbuy told me "it not out yet".
the other bestbuy said "we dont sell note edge, try bestbuy.com "
To tell the truth, I think that none of the basic people know anything.
With the leak image from tmobile. I bet that was only sent to the head people as the head stores.
While everyone else just works there and looks up everything on the system. Which the system hasnt updated yet since the phones havent been scan in.
I do remember doing an online chat before they confirmed the 14th date, and no one could give me anything. After they confirm the date the online chat people where able to tell me that it came out the 14th but nothing more
This is just my guess tho. But i have seen this happen before with other items. No one knows anything because they havent gotten that email in there in box. While the main people know but basically cant say much.
But we will see what happens on the 14th. I am hopping to be able to just walk into the corporate store at 10am Friday and pick up a white one, but i dont know. All i know is ill be refreshing the page daily as i do now, and just waiting. There isnt anything else we can do about this.
My tmo rep told me they are not doing preorder add it is unknown how many the does were getting out when they were coming in. They did say release is 14th and to call the evening before to see if they have them in stock.

Was going to likely get an N6 eventually, but catastrophe has struck my current phone, so I need to go get a new phone ASAP.
I've heard rumors that the N6 is appearing back in some ATT stores, but I tried two local stores and both said they had heard of the N6, but never saw any show up yet.
FWIW, I live in NJ.

Left my local bestbuy last night and a couple blueshirts there told me that they would be releasing the S7 and S7 Edge this Monday. I was pre-ordering and asked when it came out and they told me I could pick it up on monday.
So if you preordered from bestbuy i'd recommend calling them and seeing if they are also releasing it early.
I don't know how truthful BestBuy is. I got my pre-ordered T-Mobile S7 on the 3rd of March and was told by my local BestBuy store that they had the Otterbox cases in stock for the S7. So I drive over to the store and find out that they have the cases in stock but won't be releasing them until the 11th of March because that's when the phones will be released. I will NOT be going back to BestBuy again!

I bought a surround sound system from them a month ago. He told me i was gonna get a discount and hed hook me up with an hdmi and optical cable. Then he was tryin to talk me into joinin their "rewards program" it was like every $100 you get a dollar or something. I was like, "it'd take me so long, im good" but i bought a tv a couple months before so he said i could get credit for that aswell. So finally i said, "well, your not gonna send me a bunch of emails if i sign up are you". He said, " haha noooooo"!
Long story kinda shortened.
I paid full price for the SS system.
I got a wopping $5 off a used hdmi cable. Which was $20
Paid full price for optical audio cable $25
Then at the end i said oh can we add my tv to the rewards program. (Of course the salesman left so i was left with some kid to check me out)
He said, "oh man we'd have to call customer service and i dont think theyd do it anyway"

The following weeks im flooded with best buy emails, i unsubscribe at least 10 times with no stop to it. Finally have to call a 800 number and scream at them to make it stop.

big thread on reddit about this: multiple best buy mobile employees confirmed it, and users who went there confirmed it. people got calls to pickup on monday too.
pisses me off bc i chose shipping instead of in store (for the first time ever with best buy) bc i was worried they'd run out of stock before my preorder was fulfilled, so i wouldn't be able to walk in friday and get it. did shipping, thinking they'll def have enough in a warehouse.
yeah, and now they release early lol. so mad.

My preorder confirmation said they would Email me when the items were ready. By chance, did they mention if the Gear VR was ready for pickup also?

Same thing happened to me. They had a Samsung rep there and I even showed him the phone, still wouldn't sell it. I went to U.S. Cellular, AT&T and even the new T-Mobile store in my town but neither had cases yet. Verizon store had the stuff out on display already so i bought my case and screen protector there.
I wondered who the *#&@ cares if I buy a piece of plastic for a phone that isn't "out yet"? I am giving you money, why do you care?! It was dumb as f.

Just got off the phone with my local BestBuy, they said that it should be no problem. She mentioned it would be FCFS based on available stock, dunno if this means you can get one shipped later, or if you are sol.
Well...that's kind of strange. The Best Buy website now shows the expected release date for the phone on my order as: "Null"?
The other 2 items still show expected release of 3-11-2016.
Edit: They just now changed the expected release date to 3-7-2016.

Yeah. I ordered two actually, got two seperate emails. I tried looking them up, but it says the name and phone number are wrong, didnt say anything about order number being wrong.
Edit: nevermind, it was under my old name. My att acct is kinda wonky haha.

I know I got my note edge and s6 edge plus a few days early but wasn't sure if s7 edge would be the same way. I know bestbuy and target have better deals right now if I have to wait till tomorrow I'll go there but I'd miss out on the promos just to get it today.

They gave us SUCH a hard time yesterday. we went at 8 (hour before they close) and they would not sell it to me. It sucks because I asked if they have it in stock and if I should wait since there were 5 ppl infront of me. Lady goes "yeah, I have all 3 colors in stock. It's now my turn and they said they can't sell it to me. Why the hell did you tell me to wait then!?
So I bought the phone online and did a pick up for today. Then they would not honor the BOGO deal because I had already purchased the initial phone. ended up calling the retention line and saying I'm leaving if you can't honor the BOGO. they said we'll honor it and that was it. It was such a mess. every year it's something else when we upgrade phones. Really consiering leaving AT&T... sorry for my rant
