Nexus 10 screen comes on at startup then goes dark - Nexus 10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am having problems with a nexus 10 tablet. It has not been rooted. The battery has been replaced and for the first week it work fine. No issues with battery running down very fast and random shutoff.
Yesterday, I noticed the brown tinge on the screen that is a known problem. Now, today, went to turn on tablet and went into the startup then the screen goes black. I noticed if I keep touching the screen it comes back on for about a second.
I then booted into recovery, and saw the crashed android logo, with the line saying tablet is downloading don't turn off.
I am unsure where to go from here. Any help is much appreciated.

N7 not turning on, screen flickering and buzzing when plugged in

I was using my N7 this afternoon and it ran out of power. I plugged it in and heard a buzzing noise coming from the device and the charger, but it was booting as normal. After the boot animation stopped, the screen went brown and odd static patterns started flashing. I quickly unplugged it and restarted it. This time it ran out of power before the boot animation finished. I plugged it in a third time and turned it on. This time, a different boot animation appeared ("android" text with a shimmer effect) and went on for about five minutes before I unplugged it and disconnected the battery. I plugged it in again (without the battery connected) and all that appeared were black static-y patterns that seemed to be going in a cycle, as though it was trying to boot. I was using the franco kernel, with a pretty big undervolt (around 300mV). The odd thing is that it was completely stable with the undervolt. I searched for the issue, but the only relevant thread was never answered. I'm kinda freaking out. Any help would be great.
Edit 1: I have just successfully booted into recovery and made a backup, as well as a cache and dalvik wipe. I installed a copy of franco kernel I had in the downloads folder (r48). When I boot, I still get the old "android" shimmery boot animation that won't stop, and I can't move the backup to my computer because of this (I'm using TWRP). To clarify, I have the wifi-only nexus 7 and I was using r61 of the kernel.
Edit 2: After leaving it in the bootloader, plugged into a computer for about 10 minutes, I came back to see the weird black static again. I'm going to factory reset and hope that that fixes it.
Edit 3: It did not. After about 10 minutes, the screen always goes fuzzy and starts buzzing. I'm going to try to send it ti ASUS. Any info is still helpful, though.
Edit 4: I did some further searching and found this thread:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1805772
I'm definitely not the only one with this problem. I'm gonna send it back to ASUS anyways, to hopefully get a better model without battery issues and to get a free redo of the super-easy-to-scratch silver rim. Now, to try to remember when I bought this thing...

Nexus 7 2012 Screen Not Turning On

Short story: my tablet either freezes or shuts down when the screen turns off. If the screen turns off, the only way I can get the tablet on is by holding the power button down until it restarts.
Long story:
My alarm went off this morning perfectly fine. As usual, I browsed Facebook and CNN. While reading a CNN article, the screen shut off (timed out). I hit the power button and the article came back up but was zoomed in on a particular spot, the notification bar was missing, and the touchscreen was unresponsive. I turned the screen off and back on, and all that showed was the dimmed background - there was no clock or apps and the touchscreen was still unresponsive. I turned the screen off and on again and this time nothing happened - the screen stayed off. I held the power button down until it restarted. The tablet worked fine until the screen shut off - and it stayed off again. I repeated that last step several times with no change. The screen doesn't turn on when charging or when plugged into my computer - and my computer doesn't recognize it.
Then I backed up the tablet and performed a factory reset. The tablet reset and I signed in and set it up. The screen shut down several times and started back up no problem. Then I left for a few minutes, when I came back - same problem.
I don't know what else to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Turbo 2 screen problems.

Tonight, my turbo 2 started acting up. I pulled it out to make a call, and the top 1/2 inch of my screen was flickering purple. That went away after about an hour, but then the whole screen went black and unresponsive. After trying to shut it off and reboot for a bit, it just randomly started working again. Full battery. Everything works, except the top 1/2 inch of display is completely black, every now and then, it will be green. If the phone sleeps, even for a second, it won't come back on, for about an hour, then it will randomly start working again. Never got wet, or dropped. Any body had an issue like this?
There's a known issue with a green line on the screen, I believe the speculation is a bad batch of screens got out, you're gonna have to exchange it for a new phone.
I am currently having this same issue. Going to VZ today to see about resolving it, as really hard to do anything when its doing that. Top 1/2 or more of the screen is flickering purple, then the screen will not let you turn up the brightness, all programing in the back works, just a LED issue. Restarted and same thing, let it charge Off all night, and back to normal after a few minutes using it. Very odd, not sure what is going on.
I have a similar issue, and I am trying to recover some data from mine. It seems booting into bootloader mode and using ADB yields nothing
I also cannot use MTP, as when I plug my phone in it's not in MTP mode for some reason, and i Can't see how to turn it on (screen is black). Digitizer still works. Does anyone have any suggestions? Can someone here maybe take a video of themselves plugging the phone in via USB and then selecting MTP on the phone? perhaps I can do it blindly...
Really don't want to give this phone back to vz until I get my data off of it.
About eight hours of pissing and moaning and I finally figured out:
Using the replacement phone, I just mimicked every movement on the one with the dead screen. I hit the "cast" button on the notifications panel and casted the screen to my chromecast, which in turn allowed me to set up MTP mode and/or anything else I wanted.
Cheers, hope this helps someone

Screen stopped working anyone else?

So about an hour after I got my phone I went to turn it off and charge it a bit to full.
Upon coming back to turn it on the screen is completely black but has reaction to touch.
Tried rebooting and all button combos still off.
About an hour later full charged my guess I noticed the screen still black but has a glitchy blink around the top part edges of the screen.
I've not installed any apps just took a few pics ran a benchmark.
Anyone else have this issue ? Luckily Verizon is replacing it immediately.
Sounds like nothing more than some faulty hardware...tough luck

Bricked Zte Axon 7 and I don't know how or why

Heres the entire story, I woke up my Zte was at 100% so I went to school and it was working fine until I took it out of my pocket and noticed it fully shut down so I booted it up and went on, the same thing happend like 6 times through out the day until I started to uninstall some apps I had that might have been causing issues, which it wasn't fixed by that, so I got Malabytes Anti-Malware and ran a scan and no viruses, which I uninstalled after using. Then at around 2:00PM I was on my Zte it had 40% battery left while I just booted it up for like the 10th time and it loaded and once it started I was looking on the home screen and it randomly froze for the first time and it had like a glitched thin line thru the bottom side of the screen going left to right, I stared at it for a bit looking like what is going on, then it shut off and it was a abnormal shut down, the screen went black and turned off as apposed to a normal shut down it will run some text on screen saying "Shutting Down" the vibrates which that didn't happen. So I was like this was probably what it was doing in my pocket so I tried to boot it back up and it was unresponsive and it turned off with 40% so I know it wasn't out of battery. For the next 10 min I kept trying to turn it on and it didn't work so I was like I will let it rest. So 40 mins later I tried it and it went to the Zte boot screen but never booted up it was stuck there I couldn't even turn it off with the Power off or Volume + Power buttons combo, and yes the power and volume buttons worked prior to this. So I was like well this is weird I will let the battery die then charge it then boot it. So it died then I plugged it in the wall with all original charging stuff, I woke up next morning and I tried it and it vibrated and it has nothing on screen and a Red Led and it has been like that since, the battery is gonna take a lot longer to die hence it has nothing on screen it is just black with a red led. I love this phone to death it has kept me from being bored in school and now i'm back 2 being bored. I particularly want to fix this my self and not have to send it somewhere for repair and I would also like to save the data on it as well if possible but if not I would still rather have a phone.
HELP ME EXPERTS! Thank You! :good:
These phones don't age well unfortunately. Don't feel bad it's not your fault. RMA if you somehow still have warranty. If not I'm sorry but your screwed, most likely the emmc chip went mad and there's no repairing that for an axon 7. I know, they're nice while they last.
You run stock firmware?if yes,you always be on stock?
