Hi,
I am using the pattern feature as screen lock type.
When the screen is off , you have to hit the home key or power button to wake up, then swipe, then pattern.
Is there a setting to disable this "swipe screen to unlock" ?
With my old Note 4, I didn't have this "swipe screen to unlock"
Thank you for your help,
Daniel

That's the way which MM behave and to overcome this, you need to allow accessibility for screen pattern lock

I don't see where you can allow accessibility for screen pattern lock
Daniel
I don't think this is possible. Maybe with root in the future.

Are you referring to a third application or the screen pattern lock included in your Os?

No it is not a third party application, it is the stock pattern lock

If you're referring to Android screen pattern lock, just change your lock screen mode

Thanks to quantumfoam I've now got coldfusionx up and running on the blade.
I prefer to use a pattern unlock, but when I enable that, it doesn't disable the slide to unlock which is then pointless. Anyone know how to turn this off?
I don't really get why the hard buttons are replicated on screen, can we turn these off to recover the screen space?
Cheers,
Alex
Hey mate. Glad to see u finally got ColdFusionX running.
Playing around with this app should solve ur lockscreen problems :
www.appbrain.com/app/antilock/com.s2get.android.antilock
And flashing this will disable softbuttons :

Cheers. The soft keys are gone which is great, but the slidelock killer is no good for ics sadly. I remember cm7 had a switch for it, worth suggesting to the authors of this rom maybe?

Yeah, but it's buggy. Select 'none' gives us none, select slide gives us slide, select pattern gives us pattern and slide. Never mind, I'm going back to CM7, it's just not stable enough for my purposes. Thanks anyway to all who helped.
I've just noticed a white circle appears wherever I touch my screen on my S7 Edge.
How do I disable it?
Maybe in accessibility options

Hi all,
I would like to know if it's possible to deactivate :
1) the "bip" sound when you touch the quick settings "Sounds and notifications" button to activate sound state after mute state.
2) the vibration when you touch the quick settings sound button to activate vibration state.
Thanks in advance for your answers.

not a dummy question at all, i myself dont like the sound the phone makes when you leave mute (or vibrate).
it might be the best to ask @wanam to include it in its xposed module, either that or "modified files"
Hi guys, just realized that the phone doesn't show a notification that "Do not disturb" is enabled.
Missed a few calls this morning because of this issue.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Edit: fixed with a factory reset.

This is a real problem just don't know what cause it. I have this problem now on second time.
First time I reseted all my app settings and it solved the problem just needed to set everything again but lots better then factory reset.
Now 1-2 weeks later I have the problem again. I tried to double check every settings I made but it's a little bit hard across more weeks.
So now I have this problem. It's correlate with settings of apps but don't know which setting off such app.
This is my 7-8. Android device and never had such thing since DND available.

You're not alone. Did you find a fix?
Do you happen to have installed some VR apps?
Works on my S8.

settings > notifications > advanced > show apps with blocked notifications (ensure System apps are shown)
If you see SYSTEM UI is blocked then click the top right menu dots and click reset app preferences.
This resets ALL app preferences and permissions so you will have to grant a lot of apps location rights, and so on.
Is there a kernel that allows the capacitive key backlights to be turned on at all times that the screen is on? I'm using ElementalX and I can't see anything in the settings.
I know there's an app on Play that does this but it needs to be re-enabled after every reboot.

There's a setting under "Buttons" in the settings. Disable the toggle titled "Backlight". I've never had mine turn back on after I've toggled that off.

Whoops, misread that, my bad. I'm not sure how to enable them all the time, maybe see if you can create a tasker profile for the app that needs to be enabled on boot.

Yes, that might work.
You can try Xposed + Gravitybox, but if you're willing to go that route I'd suggest running a custom ROM, because all of them have that option

You may try with EX Kernel manager, setting brightness on sys/class/leds/button-backlight
I tried quickly, setting to 255 light them up and short time after screen goes off they are lightning off too, when screen goes on they are lightning up again.

I don't think that I'm doing this correctly. Do you mean in Tools/User Settings, then add a new setting so that I end up with " sys/class/leds/button-backlight/255" on the top line? The bottom line shows "NA".
Edit: doh.... I finally worked it out. Thanks heaps. This was exactly what I was looking for.

How did you get this to work? I can create a sys/class/leds/button-backlight by typing it directly into the user settings but then I can't change its value (stays na). Or I can follow the path to sys/class/leds/button-backlight but then I cannot select it.
