White circle under my finger when touching screen - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

I've just noticed a white circle appears wherever I touch my screen on my S7 Edge.
How do I disable it?

Maybe in accessibility options

Hi there, I have a problems with my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. I had a floating circle, when I tap it shows coomons app, shortcut setting and recent app. I don't know what to do? I try to find and turn it off. But then since I've been using it I haven't been turn on and I notice in 2 days ago when it appears. Please help I really want to turn it off and already have on my menu already its annoyings me.

blue frame

Sometimes when I compose something on the keyboard, a blue frame (rectangle) shows up around border of the display. I'm not so sure what triggers the appearance of the blue frame, nor do I know how to get rid of it. It seems that the blue frame is triggered sometimes when I incidentally touch the left or right edge of the keyboard. And once the blue frame appears, any keystroke would show up with an unintended letter. For example, typing 'c' would show up as 'g', 'n' as 'k', etc.
So far the only way I've found to get out of the annoying blue frame is to temporarily switch to a different app and then come back.
What is the blue frame? How to deactivate it?

In developer options check and see if you have any of the items checked in the "drawing" category.

Thanks for the suggestion! Sorry, could you elaborate a little bit more about this? How to clear catch/data/uninstall updates? Using adb shell, I don't see a directory called 'catch'.
Cache * . Just go to settings/apps , find your keyboard and then delete Cache/data/updates

Unfortunately clearing the cache, uninstall and reinstall didn't work. And the problem remains...
Any other suggestions?

Yes it was on. Now I've turned it off, and I'll see if the problem resurfaces.

Thanks for the quick response, but have you tried your suggestion? It's not there on my phone.

I did however install some of the free camera mode features, maybe it got installed with one of them. If you select mode and go to the bottom there is an option to download. I picked a few of the and they installed, then that's when I noticed the location feature. Try that.
Tried that. All 4 modes. Still no go. What mode did you see the option in?

Camera settings is actually bigger than what is shown use your finger to scroll it up and you'll see more options

Ah. That worked. The options don't fill the screen, so never thought to scroll. Duh.

Touch Key Light On Duration

Hi
Can the touch key light on duration be changed to always on like I had before in my S5 ?
I cant find any setting for it anywhere.
I like it to be on when I'm using the phone but theres no option for it anymore ?
Thanks
I use galaxy button lights app. I think it was removed from settings with the s6. At least it was gone from mine on Tmobile.

Do not disturb icon?

Hi guys, just realized that the phone doesn't show a notification that "Do not disturb" is enabled.
Missed a few calls this morning because of this issue.
Anyone know how to fix this?

This is a real problem just don't know what cause it. I have this problem now on second time.
First time I reseted all my app settings and it solved the problem just needed to set everything again but lots better then factory reset.
Now 1-2 weeks later I have the problem again. I tried to double check every settings I made but it's a little bit hard across more weeks.
So now I have this problem. It's correlate with settings of apps but don't know which setting off such app.
This is my 7-8. Android device and never had such thing since DND available.

You're not alone. Did you find a fix?
Do you happen to have installed some VR apps?
Works on my S8.
Fix courtesy Igsucks https://us.community.samsung.com/t5...urb-status-bar-icon-missing/m-p/212576#M24990
settings > notifications > advanced > show apps with blocked notifications (ensure System apps are shown)
If you see SYSTEM UI is blocked then click the top right menu dots and click reset app preferences.
This resets ALL app preferences and permissions so you will have to grant a lot of apps location rights, and so on.
