Looks like it handles games just fine, so no issues there.

My s7 edge 935f variant scores only 100,000 in the benchmark. The 3d garden and the other 3d test totals to only 20,000 while the antutu app shows a standard s7 edge scores around 55,000 in the benchmarks. Is there Somethin wrong with my device. I have a 220 mb update pending. Haven't updated after receiving. Is that the reason?
Just ran Antutu on mine, and I'm scoring 130,000. Install that update and try again.

No need for any help antutu benchmarks are not really a good measure.
Is your phone snappy and smooth?? Does it feel fast??
Not all phones are going to benchmark like others don't worry about there's probably not one thing wrong

Remember that performance takes a hit when you have more things running in background, have things on disk. Many factors. Lots of people bench mark a factory image. Also, benchmark is only as good as its practical use, if you device is fast, can handle what you throw at it and you enjoy it, what does the number matter?

Hi all!
Please help me in a simple matter regarding AnTuTu
I am currently using Samsung Gakaxy Note 3 SM-N900(Exynos) and want to upgrade to Samsung Galaxy S5 G900H(Exynos) which is available in my country.
But I am a bit confused as I love the big screen of Note 3 and the better camera os S5. I know I can't have both when I am poor.
So I ordered S5 so that I can compare it myself. Either I will return the S5 or will sell the Note 3 in next 10 days, but I am stuck somewhere.
Technically, S5 with Exynos 5422 should be faster than Note 3 with Exynos 5420. I know RAM plays important role too, but HMP should raise the flags towards S5.
However, I am getting very low AnTuTu score on S5 compared to Note 3.
Just for test, I flashed both phones with complete wipe and "NAND Erase All" with latest Lollipop ROMS available and the AnTuTu I am using is 6.1.4 with 3D Benchmarks 6.0.4
The score I am getting varies from 52000-54000 for Note 3 and 44000-46000 for S5
That is some 8000-10000 point low for S5.
HOW can this be possible? All reviews show S5 has the upper hand, but thats not in my case. Should I consider replacing my unit?
I wont be opting S5 just for Android 6. I need performance as well.
Guide me please.
Please help at the earliest.
Thanks.
Who cares about benchmark?
I don't get what you want to aquire switching note3 for s5.
Almost same spec with smaller screen.
That is all pointless.
Ps. You should've bought g900f snapdragon. That suposed to be a bit quicker than exynos g900h
tapatalked
I comfirm this
Gta sa and lcs work flawlessly on note 3 exynos 4.4.2 but they lag on galaxy s5 exynos 6.0.1
antutu benchmark of my S5 snapdragon gives me 62741
Benchmarking is not relevant, plus the Note 3 has 1 gb of RAM more than the S5.

Well, the difference could be in software. Are both the phones running same version of android? If note 3 is on kitkat and s5 on lollipop then note is going to get higher scores. Also, There is a major difference because of ram too. Note 3 has 3gb of ram whereas s5 has 2 so that is probably the main reason for lower scores. And also benchmarks don't mean **** during day to day usage. Don't just buy something because of benchmarks.

I agree sir. But don't u think that the iPhone 6s will always score better than iPhone 6. Okay, it's different, but theoretically s5 should be faster and score more! All parameters are same!

I think you have no idea how software works.

Thanks for your valuable opinion without even properly reading anything. I clearly mentioned that both devices uses same latest lollipop updates. May be you don't know about Note 3 and S5. If you knew, you'd not have advised about kitkat and lollipop comparision.
And I know how to manage my day to day usage. But my post was about AnTuTu score only. I pretty much know how to use my devices. If I am upgrading, I will simply upgrade to a powerful model. And I cannot measure power/speed in calculator, messages or file manager.
I think you dont know how benchmark works and how much useful it can be.
No offence.
Thanks
Hello , i am using the exyynos variant of the s7 edge. When i benchmark it i get a score of 105000 on average.

Be sure you bench the phone from a cold state as the score will drop big time if it's heated. Also the lag should go away in two weeks.
turn off all power saving options and other features present in nougat
also, whisper in its ear when you start the benchmark from cold...

It's normal. I get lower score in Antutu Benchmark every device I use like Note 2, Note Edge, S7 Edge. There are too many reasons for that, first is heat. Number of installed app, cache, thumbnails, Whatsapp Files and SD Card fullness are other things to effect Antutu score.
(Antutu Average Score is calculate in best conditions, I mean, it's just theorotical score, not pratically. So, you don't need to think about getting lower score on Antutu )
Like everyone said, you should bench from cold state. Also delete every app running in backround. :good:
like it matters... the overall performance is the most important and I addume you're happy with S7 speed.
life is too short to worry about benchmarks
Hi, I have a dilema. I´m from Spain, and I bought yesterday a Samsung galaxy s8 EU versión (with exynos), but when I started to test it, I saw that the dolphin emulator didn´t work. Now I have a dilema, I have the option of change it to the US variant, but I don´t know if that´s the best option. What are the advantages of the Snapdragon and the Exynos? Should I stay with the Exynos variant o change it for the Snapdragon versión? Dolphin emulator is the only Snapdragon advantage or is also better for a posible LineageOS? Do you think Dolphin will work on Exynos variant? I´m still on time to change the phone, please help me.

I know S8 Snapdragon has better battery life, but S8 Exynos is way better for rooting. I know US Snapdragon S8 has UFS 2.0 and US Snapdragoon S8+ has UFS 2.1; UFS 2.1 is something around 300MB/s faster read than UFS 2.0 comparing between S8 variants. If you do get a US Snapdragon variant, get the S8+ due to UFS 2.1; but, just know that you likely won't be able to root US Snapdragon as easily, etc.

Also, I've used LineageOS 7.1.1 on Samsung's old Galaxy Note 5 and it cannot begin to compare to S8+ Samsung Experience Nougat in terms of aesthetics; however, I have to add that I never modified the look of LineageOS 7.1.1 and there might be settings, themes and mods that make it look much better than when freshly installed. Plus, Exynos drivers for LineageOS/AOSP are never going to be as optimized as stock from what I've read, because Samsung does not reveal Exynos source (if I'm not mistaken). Everyone has their preferences, but I think Samsung Experience Nougat for Galaxy S8+ is the best looking Android version I have heretofore seen!
only asking about Dolphin and exynos or Snapdragon, nothing else.
He is not asking about rooting, he is inquiring which is best to play Dolphin, which is what I want myself or I would just get some other crappy phone: I have the s6 active - its exynos too I think? (note: never upgrade your s6 active past lollipop or you lose ability to play dolphin- graphics driver update destroys the driver) but it still plays all the other stuff just fine so meh! . From what I know and have watched on YouTube and for some reason the s7 exynos performs better because of the multicore and hard stats say the s7 snapdragon is hands down best but that's on single core applications which is an antutu bench fact it beats the exynos from like 1,800 is to snaps 2,300 on single core and its reverse for multicore processes scoring for the s7 which seems to be opposite for the s8 - oh my spinning head For the s7 exynos it is clearly better for emulation I would say exynos but for regular games the snap I assume s8 chips should be of a similar deal? so I guess go on YouTube and watch some dolphin vids to compare and get a little visual info on it. I have been looking at an s7 myself because I cant quite afford the s8- so I may wait another year myself (the s7 exynos is 120-180$) more than the snap just look on eBay - ridiculous) but the videos i compared show the s7 820 snapdragon struggle to play windwaker whilst the exynos ran WW smooth like butter but other games did not perform as well as my s6 active did before I unknowingly upgraded to mm then hoping to fix it I upgraded to nougat now no dolphin period! - yeah . If you want dolphin u might try the s6? Mine used to play most games very well. really pisses me off too. Id like to know myself so would one of the head honchos like to pipe up on the s8 for strictly dolphin performance or even the much cheaper s7 for "dolphin" and nothing else please. -hence the title of the thread oh , ad thank you in advance
