Not sure what happened. TWRP works fine, android doesn't. help? - X Style (Pure) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I've been running the same rom for the last ~2 months without issue. Yesterday the radio was dropping several times an hour. sometimes it would come back with data, sometimes not. I decided to wipe cache/dalvik cache. all night and this morning it was fine. around noon the radio dropped again. came back with data and seemed fine. a few hours later it started freaking out. whole screen goes black and slowly pops in with a black background like the launcher restarted. This progressively got worse to the point where I couldn't do anything on the phone.
Once I got home I wiped the phone. upon booting half the screen was black, half with the welcome setup screen. (the black wasn't a straight line, it was choppy across the screen like something out of tetris)
I then tried using the return to stock tool. SAME THING.
I reinstalled TWRP (lost it during the last step). Installed a stock 6.0 MM rom , same issue.
Here's the weird part, the bootloader and TWRP function and run perfect. So i'm inclined to think theres a software issue and not a hardware issue. Any thoughts on this???

I can even get screen shots showing the issue....

Looks like a sim card issue? Pop it out and put it back in. Or get a new one.

I pulled the SIM and SD card early on. Borrowed a phone from a friend to hold me over, SIM works fine.

HTC Hermes keyboard problem

Hey, guys. Problem with my Hermes keyboard. It works fine for a while, usually 2-4 hours, then suddenly stops. In the middle of typing. Backlight goes out and won't turn back on. I'm unsure whether this is a ROm problem, (Shnaps 4.00 ) or a hardware problem. As it's only just started happening, as in today, I'm beginning to get fearful of a hardware fault.
Everything is fine after soft reset, too.

Difficult to say if it's software or hardware. See here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=330700
and if it's physical, then it's likely to be this connector that's at fault (Not much dismantling - just under back cover):

Well, been on for a while, and has not happened since I uninstalled TCPMP, yesterday. I have no idea why this is, only that is seems a lot like when the device slows down, and keypresses take a while to come through, and the backlight to activate. No idea.

Help! Something wrong when I boot up my phone!

Guys,
I like to check with you all whether any solution for the below problem :
Every time I boot up my phone, it will display the messaging menu on the background and I cannot view the HTC Sense main screen till I press any button.
Please see below photo of the problem :

Mine does exactly the same thing.
mine does the same thing too, it seems to be that messaging tries to open up on top of it, if you see on your screenshot, it says messaging at the top instead of start. Seems to be an issue with windows mobile i think as i had the same thing happen on my touch pro with a custom rom. it happens to me when i use the phone too, for example if i'm watching a video in full screen that messaging thing appears over it and exits full screen playback, doesnt happen all the time but enough to become annoying
Try booting the phone without the memory card inserted. Maybe it's corrupt.
I get this too. Tried searching for a fix but couldn't find one so good to see a thread started here about it.
Touching the screen will also take you to the main screen.
Weird. I get the "Launching HTC Sense" sometimes, but never the Messaging thing instead of Start.
It only happens on mine if the phone has been switched off for a while, for example over night, if I just switch the phone off and back on again it goes straight to the main screen.

Phone reboots/shuts down

Hello you all peeps
I noticed some weired things happening to my phone. Sometimes when I want to use my phone I need to put in my PIN, never realised what it was.
10 minutes ago I received a text message, i read it and ploooops, my phone was rebooting out of nothing. After that my phone is working again, but watch this:

}
There's just a part gone, I know it was there before the reboot. Now i realize that i already had this issue a few times before.
Does anybody know where this strange thing come from?
Oh, I am running Litening rom with CF kernel, not sure if i had this issue before flashing the rom.
I had exactly the same thing on KE7. My phone rebooted itself at least once a day. I tried uninstalling and disabling all the apps I could think of but nothing resolved it.
Eventually, I performed a factory reset which has resolved the issue - it's now been running for 3 days without a reboot.
I had a spontaneous reboot only once - phone was overheating due to well, me messing around :-D
Check if heat is not a problem du to a runaway process
The heat is not a issue since it rebooted too when i didn't use the phone.
I deleted some Samsung bloatware too, perhaps that is the problem. Will do a factory reset, but not for now.
Good(?) to hear I'm not the only one with this problem
Same problem here, but i think it's related with the known bug of "suspend" and events/0 process and there is nothing to do but waiting for a fix :/

Touch screen becomes unresponsive any ideas?

I just rooted my galaxy s4, i have gotten it replaced because it broke. So i rooted this and everything shows it was successful. I put a recovery on (first twrp and then CWM) but what i noticed is when i was using twrp everything worked fine until the screen turned off. as some of you may know once the screen turns off and turns back on with twrp you have to swipe to unlock. but once i try to unlock the touchscreen becomes unresponsive. It weird because it only happens after that screen turns off. I also come across the problem once i flash a ROM on the phone the touch screen doesnt work as well. anyone have any ideas? may i have possibly rooted it wrong or something?

No, rooting would not cause that issue. With TWRP you can set the screen timeout higher so it doesn't turn off the screen.

Dead vertical strip on phone

Hello guys, yesterday at night I noticed that a small spot on my screen wasn't working. It had J and N soft keys included, I got kind of mad, but just tried to reboot the phone, after rebooting it was fine again for some time, then it just stopped working again. I made a factory reset for the phone and just put it to charge while all the apps that I had were downloading. I wake up in the morning and bam, the vertical line, which used to be like a square on the lower side of screen is all throughout the screen now, rebooting doesn't help... I know that it's most likely a hardware problem, but this nexus is like 2-3 years old so no warranty for me so I'm looking for different solutions... Has anyone encountered this and knows how to solve it?

Soooo, I went outside to work, and when I come back BOOM it's working again, I'm happy, using the phone normally and then boom, massive unstoppable clicks began on one spot, they lasted for like 15seconds (they were all on a single spot) and when they stopped the stripe was dead again... I guess it's hardware playing with me but I'm less and less sure that it's the digitizer itself... Any ideas?
I guess your phone was dropped.
Coz my friend's were having similar symptoms. He took it to repair centres they said display need to be changed etc. He better purchased other cheaper android phone.

Had a similar issue. It will get progressively worse over time. I got mine RMAd by Google.
