Every time I open a app page on the play store it force closes and goes back to the home screen. And some times it says server error. Any suggestions to get this fixed?
I have this same problem on the Shield Android TV and the Google ADT-1. I do not have a solution, and Google has not been helpful - but here's the interesting thing: use a different account - I guarantee it will work, but when you switch back to your main account, it will not be fixed. There are many people with this same issue in the Shield TV section, and on the GeForce forums. It is definitely a Google Play, Google Play Services, account issue, or a combination of any of all of them. Call Google and tell them your problem - don't waste your time with factory resets, wiping GP Services, etc., it will not work. See if you get anywhere with them, they tried to say it's a hardware issue, and it 100% is not, because other accounts will work just fine.
Give them a call - 1-855-836-3987
Okay thanks

Hi guys, i'm currently using a Motorolla Droid X on 2.3.4. It has been working fine, just out of no where i go to download an app and i get an error "(App name)" could not be downloaded due to an error. (Error retrieving information from server. [RPC:S-5:AEC-0]
I'm going crazy here, the only way to download an app would be to go to the play store from a computer and send it to install to my phone. I tried uninstalling updates for the play store, making it the market again. I can download apps fine from the market, its when i close the play store it automatically updates it to play store. I also tried clearing cache and data with no luck. However, i cannot remove my Google account, it says that some applications require my Google account, and that I can only remove it by factory resetting my phone. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Just got off the phone with Google play support. They said that today they rolled out a new play store update and many people have been calling up because their play store wasn't working. They're working on the issue and should have a fix within 24 hours i was told. The representative i spoke to was very generous and kind, he had complete knowledge of the issue and did NOT seem like he did NOT know what he was doing. I was very satisfied afterwards. So your not alone if you are having the same issues, it should be fixed within 24 hours.
Hello, I'm new here.
I have a brand new galaxy s5. Running stock everything. I set up my Google account and was able to access some features, such as logging into the play store and downloading apps. However I am unable to access the Google play games feature, I also cannot sign into certain apps requiring google+. I have deleted the account and re entered my details. I have even performed a factory reset and still have no luck. I have tried putting my phone in flight mode and then back to normal and even disabling master sync and re-enabling it. How do I fix this problem. The account seems to say syncing for a very long time, everything else seems to work fine. Is this a network problem?
Problem solved
So I figured I wasn't going to receive any advice any time soon, probably because my explanation wasn't too clear but I fixed the issue. As mentioned I tried everything and factory reset and that did not work. The main issue was when I logged into some apps requiring Google+ link such as Clash of Clans, I was unable to sign into link my account. I also realised the Google Play Games app did into work, it just showed blank loading pages for tab.
So here's what I did (Android 5.0 - Galaxy S5 stock):
Go to Settings>Applications>Application Manager>All
Now go to the Google Play Games App then disable the app. This uninstalls the new version of the app that was updated 15th May 2015. Instead you are reverted back to a older version of the app, which works perfectly. Now you will be able to link your accounts requiring Google+/Google Play.
Since Google released the update quite recently, people have experienced the same issue. I am hoping a new update will be available soon so you can update to that and skip this current update and never have to worry about the bug again.
But at least with this fix you can enjoy your Google Play Games.
Which one version of Google Play Games do I have to install?
Since the last hard reset I did, I bought a song on Google Play Music for the first time. So this morning I do a hard reset on my Samsung Galaxy S4 (updated to 5.0.1) and go through the install steps, add my Google account and everything goes fine. Then the phone checks for updates, tells me I have several (which is normal). Then it shows a notification ""Google Play services which some of your applications rely on is not supported by your device Requested by Google Play Music" and I can't access the store anymore. Instead, I'm asked to add my Google account again the same way I would have to if I didn't add it during initial set up.
Thinking this was odd, I tried hard resetting it again to see what it would do and I get the same problem.
What happened? How can I stop this from happening?
OK seems like it's just a question of updating Google Service. The fact that it's not up to date make my phone remove my account it seems.
Got a new Fire HD 10 recently, got all the Google APKs installed, play store running, every app except Chrome is accessing my Google account. When I try to log in to Chrome, I get the "Account already exists on this device" error. I've tried clearing cache and data for all Google Apps, uninstalling / reinstalling chrome. Any ideas to get sync working in Chrome?

Try to factory reset, bypass Amazon registration and re-install all Google API Service APK.
NOTE: If your Fire tablet have registered with Amazon account. You need to deregister and factory reset again to use Google account.
Do not register your Fire tablet with Amazon account.

Thanks for the heads up, I tried this, deregistered, factory reset, installed:
Google Account Settings
Google Services Framework
Google Play Services
Google Play
Added account to google play, downloaded chrome, get same message about "account already exists on this device."
Tried loading chrome apk after google play (after another factory reset), same issue.
Willing to try any other ideas.

Can you install Google Contacts Sync.
You Fire tablet have registered with Amazon account that causing an issues?
Same issue
Having the same issue, got the tablet today and installed google play and am getting the account has been added message.
For users having account already on this device just wait a few hours and keep trying. This is what seems to be happening for most, including myself.

This isn’t working for me. I installed all last night. I left the device on overnight. Alexa auto updated through Google Play Store, but I still get “the account already exists on your device” when trying to log into Chrome.
I have not registered with Amazon on the device and all system updates have been blocked (no OTA). I also debloated with Amazon Toolbox.
Anyone else figure out the why and how for the can’t log into Chrome issue here?
Thx!
I had the problem, the thing that seemed too work for me is sign in to your Google account on the built in Email client, then you can sign in to Chrome.

Try to disable any Amazon's bloatware like Amazon Appstore, Silk Browser, Amazon's Email app, DCP Platform Contracts app from ADB or Fire toolbox from @Datastream33. IMPORTANT: You need to install any web browser from Google Llay like Firefox or Google Chrome before doing this to disable Silk Browser.
Have you tried messing with Chrome's permissions?
I've had issues in the past until I manually went into the settings, and enabled google account + some other permissions for Chrome, and then restarted. Sometimes it just takes time for whatever reason.
For anyone having this issue, try to upgrade your "google play services" and reboot. You may be prompted to the upgrade page when you open "play games" app (other side loaded google apps might also do the trick).
Adding my Gmail account to the built in Email app fixed my problem too. Whoop! Thank you.
F***ing Amazon and Google ought to just figure out that most people use both of their services and allow Play Store and Chrome to reside side by side with Silk and Alexa (which I don't want to use, just like I don't use Microsoft Cortana, or Siri on my iPad).
In case someone else encounters this: it was the permissions for me. Enabled contact permissions for chrome and it worked.
Let's revive this thread... I recently purchased an HD10. I added the Google Play store, downloaded several apps not currently available in the Amazon app store, so it is definitely working.
For some reason chrome just won't run... it won't even give me the option to open it once it installs.
Any ideas what to do?
Yesterday i noticed that for some reason my Google account got unlinked from my Google Play Apps, so i couldn't use any of the Google related stuff. When i tried to re-link/login i got the message "There was a Problem communicating with the Google Servers - Try again later"
So i started scouring the Internet for fixes, of which there are a few but rarely are they applicable to FireOS and they basicly all boil down to "reboot, wipe cache, delete data, reinstall" and so on. Evantually i ended up doing a Factory reset but that made it only worse since now all my Apps are gone except for the ones from the Amazon Store which got saved in the recovery. I reinstalled the Google Play APKs and got again that same error message so i tried creating a new account which went kinda okay until it came to the final login, again that error, however once i closed the Google settings a pop-up offered me to login via Browser and that worked for whatever reason, so at least i got access to the Google Play Store again, but with no access to my App Library. Even more curious, occasionally Google picks up on my Login attempts and i get e-mails with "security warnings" about a new device. Using other devices i can login to Google just fine btw.
Currently i have 3 Theories as to what happened:
1. It just happened randomly, as it appearantly sometimes happens with Android if the Internet is to be believed.
2. A sneaky Update changed something and now the Google Login Auth on my Fire clashes with whatever updated, i assume that based on what is currently happening with the Amazon Netflix App and Google Play.
3. A few days ago i installed WhatsApp (sadly a necessity since it stopped supporting Windows Phone and there are People i need to communicate with via WA) and since Google Play stopped working "shortly" after i'm inclined to assume a correlation. Ironically WhatsApp doesn't work anymore after the reset, it now got connection problems too.
At this point i've pretty much tried all fixes, applicable to FireOS, i could find short of rooting the Fire and modifying the "hosts" file, though i looked at the File, using a root explorer, and it already contains what the Fix said it should contain, so i'm not sure if that would actually help.
I hope someone here has some more ideas on what i could try to get it working again, though i'm already getting used to the idea of having to Flash it in order to get Google Play working again. (kinda a feeling of excited dread and second-guessing the idea, so i'd prefer methods that aren't quite as invasive right now.)

Your Fire tablet have registered with Amazon account that causing all Google services. Try to deregister it and reset to .
Useful methods to install Google apps using Fire toolbox:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/hd8-hd10/development/official-amazon-fire-toolbox-v1-0-t3889604
Can you protect your Google account by adding phone number in Google account settings.
So i did another Factory Reset, i couldn't get around not login into my Amazon account but this time i skipped restoring the Back-up and it worked, I was able to login into my google account, though that might be because i did it via the GPlay Store which kinda looked like a Browser login, rather than via GPlay Services but it is solved regardless, at least for now. I'm going to keep an eye on it for a few days, but i hope the Problem is solved for good.
