AoA,
Guys my GS5 is rooted.
I am caught into a problem after installing custom fonts with a font installer. It just asked to reboot to apply the custom font.
After that mobile is stuck on samsung logo.
I have just tried to wipe the cache. Still no luck.
I don't want to factory reset the device as i have important data on mobile and i don't have backup.
There is a tutorial that shows a guide to unbrick the device with Font Unbricker.
But Adb on my pc does not detect the GS5 even when mobile is in recovery mode.
Please help me with this issue!
Update [Issue Resolved]
Well after few hours of wandering over the internet i got my cell phone working without flashing any ROM or Factory Reset.
I am just sharing the steps i took for anybody who may get into same trouble like me.
1. Install the CWM Philz Touch Recovery philz_touch_6.26.2-klte.tar via odin.
2. As i am not allowed to give direct link. Go to google and search "fix bootloop brick by custom fonts android" and go to first link of androidingdotcom.
3. Download the package from there.
4. Press Home + Volume UP + Power button to go into Recovery mode.
5. Go to Mount and Storage > and Mount System. It will change to unmount if Mount succeeded.
6. On Pc inside the folder you downloaded there will be a .bat file Auto Font Unbricker.bat
7. Double click and press any key
8. It will push all the default fonts into system/font folder.
9. Reboot. if you followed everything above properly. Issue will be resolved.

Hi,
After installing "[root] CF.lumen" of Chainfire on YU Yureka (CM11), phone get bricked. I did normal installation of this app, and after reboot my phone never returned normal. Each time I start, it get stuck in bootloop and all I am getting is logo of YU with Powered by Android written at the bottom of it.
I did not understand the reason of this soft brick with this application, can anybody help me to fix my YU yureka so that I can reuse it OR it just got damaged ??
So far I have tried flashing it with the following steps, but none of the methods worked: ->
Method 1: http://www.thetechnotriad.com/393/how-to-unbrick-yu-yureka/
Steps To Flash Factory Firmware –
Extract the flashtools zip in a new folder on the desktop.
Extract the factory firmware zip in the same folder and make sure that all of the flashtools files are also present.
Now, power off your phone. If you are stuck in a bootloop, then pull out the battery and reinsert it. (Do not switch on the phone.)
While pressing the Volume Up key, connect your phone to the PC with the help of a USB cable.
You should now see the fastboot logo on your device. If you did, leave the Volume Up key. (If you do not see the logo, retry the process.)
Now go to the folder where you extracted the flash tools and factory firmware and run the flash-all.bat by double clicking on it.
A command window will open and the flashing procedure will start. (Make sure that your device does not disconnect from your PC during the procedure.)
The command window will automatically close once the procedure is completed.
Disconnect your device and boot it up by pressing the Power button. (Since this is first boot after flashing the firmware, it may take upto 5 minutes.)
Method 2 : http://forum.xda-developers.com/yureka/orig-development/rom-t3042384
How To Install:
i) Place the ROM zip in the device.
ii) Reboot to your Custom Recovery CWM/TWRP/Philz.
iii) Wipe Cache, Data and System.
iv) Install the ROM Zip .
v) No need to flash Gapps, Gapps already present in system by default.
vi) The system is unrooted as its unmodified, so you might wanna install SuperSU for root access. Download and intall SuperSU.
LINK: SuperSU
vii) Reboot.
:crying::crying::crying::crying:
Please please help me to recover my phone, I would really appreciate your help.
So I wiped cache and so on now the thing is hanging at the Motorola screen and that's it.
I tried to get a sbf but all who should be compatible are down so that I pretty much am freaked.
Is there a way to get at least now a clean rom on it maybe something new 4.4.2 without SDCard or is that also a nogo?
----
So if your phone won'T boot and you just have a white light or nothing at all. You probably have less battery power to sbf flash something.
I used the Jumper cable method from Sorensiim.
That worked like a charm.
If you are looking for sbf files. Here are some.
----
So now I rooted that thing and tried to install bootmenu. Iused the adb method with ./install.sh permission denied after the copy procedure was complete ((data/bootmenu chmod etc.). I tried 2ndinit with the problem that the program hangs after the download. So what is it now that freakin thing wants me to do?
----
Got Bootmenu installed now the Defy has a Bootloop. For a short time before it loops the white led blinks. No volume up or volume down work.
----
Hanging at M logo on re-boot
Having rooted the phone . . .
1. Switch on and await blue LED
2. Press volume down to enter Android Boot Menu (v 1.1.8-jordan)
3. Recovery
4. Custom Recovery > Cyanogen Defy Recovery (v5.0.3.1-jordan)
5. Wipe Data / Factory Reset
6. Wipe Cache Partition
7. Advanced > Wipe Dalvik Cache
8. Install zip from SD card
9. Toggle signature verification to Disabled
10. Toggle script asserts to Disabled
11. Choose zip from SD card
12. Apply zip from SD card
13. Reboot
14. Hangs at M logo
Tried with and without step 10.
The zip files tried are the only two ‘nightlies’ on the XDA website, as I have been unable to find the last ‘stable’ version.
Can anyone help please?
Hi there,
1. Rooted my phone using ioroot
2. Installed TWRP using AutoRec
3. Rebooted into Recovery
4. Mistakenly wiped everything from my phone using TWRP
5. Pushed CM13 and GApps to my phone using ADB
6. Tried to installed both simultaneously using the TWRP queue option (CM13 first in the queue)
7. Phone rebooted, LG Logo displayed and went to constant black screen after 1 second
8. Can not access recovery mode anymore
9. ADB doesn't recognize the phone anymore
10. I still can access Download Mode using the Vol Up button and plugging the phone to PC using USB cable.
11. Can not install stock ROM using LG Flash Tool. It crashes when reading phone information
12. However the LG Support Tool seems can recognize my phone with Software Version: D80230C and it seems that the "Upgrade Recovery" button works in "Options" menu of it (but canceled it as it downloads 1.6 GB ROM).
So:
1. Seems that I have wiped recovery from my phone
2. Download Mode accessible
3. ADB unusable
Any possibility to push TWRP to my phone without ADB but with Download Mode?
It's new year holidays in Iran and there's no repair center open here.
Heya,
Got in a really huge pickle myself yesterday by installing a bootstack, plus I wiped everything as well. Lost the recovery and LG logo showed for a sec when booting. Fortunately I got it to work again and I'm sure you can too.
So here's what you do:
1. (may not be necessary) Check if your phone is in fastboot mode after the 1 sec boot logo and also if you connect your phone with the PC will you see a lot of partitions. If yes then get yourself the handy tool called SRKTool. Open it up, choose "4" to go to fixing options, then choose "5" to unbrick and choose your model. Next just look at what they write you.
2. Get yourself a "LGD802AT-00-V10b.....tot" tot file which you can find in the forum.
3. Watch the video explaining how the process works and also download the required files mentioned in the video description "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJtcPNklrfw".
4. After following the video you will hopefully have a working phone with android 4.2.2.
5. The rest is up to you; flash a KDZ Lollipop ROM and using SRKTool to root and put TWRP to use that or flash CM13.
To sum it up, there is a way out of this problem.
Good luck!
i tried everything, but i can't install twrp. i tried to install via odin 3.12.3 but nothing. how can i resolve this issue? i tried also with a pre-rooted firmware.

dude write some more info will you, i dunno whether
your device is locked
you have developer drivers on your laptop
what TWRP version you are trying to install
but anyways if the whole process is completed without any results consider starting odin as an administrator then flash TWRP
Hello sir
Follow my steps for successful TWRP/ROOT
1.)Download and install Samsung USB Drivers
2.)Download TWRP 3.0.2.0
3.)Download Odin
4.)Download SuperSU.zip file
For download links message me or add me on facebook facebook. com/fRoD.cs
After you complete this 4 steps shutdown your phone and enter into Download Mode
Volume Down + Power + Home
Select continue by Volume Up key
Now connect phone with usb cable into pc and run Odin as administrator
Click on AP box and select the twrp.tar file you download before
Go to Options tab and uncheck Auto Reboot, make sure that only F, Reset Time is checked and click start
After successfully installed TWRP , remove the battery, put it back and make sure that you go into recovery mode immediately!!! Volume Up + Power + Home
If you boot up the phone it will restore the original recovery. Thats why you need to go to recovery mode first.
First time you boot in recovery it will be shown a TWRP screen asking to allow modifications to system partition. Swipe to accept that.
Now select Install option and select SuperSU.zip file. By default it should be in Download folder, and swipe to start install
After installing click reboot and your SM-G361F will be rooted. You should have SuperSU app in the menu
Working Recovery

Ah, opportunely, I have the exact same device.
Now, I have actually installed TWRP before so I can help.
Usually, if it stops the flashing process, it may be a case of the Custom binary being blocked by the FRP lock on the device. Have you OEM unlocked it?
On the device, when you boot it into download mode, does it say FRP LOCK: ON on the screen?
If not, skip this step.
If so, you need to do the following:
1) Reboot the device normally
2) Go into Settings, Developer Options (note: to enable it, go to About Device and spam the Build Number box until it says that you are a developer)
3) Find where it says 'OEM Unlock'
4) Confirm the change
Now, there is an extra step which I had to take if you have a Google account signed in on your device. You might not need to, but it's best just in case:
1) Go to Settings, Accounts and Google
2) Click the Google account on the device
3) Click 'Remove Account' and confirm
Note: You will need to sign in to use any of the GApps, but you cannot access the recovery whilst being signed in because of the FRP lock.
4) Reboot your device into download mode and try again.
This may not be the case, though.
Also, don't bother with adding that guy on Facebook. I have all the downloadable things you need here, but I advise you do follow his guide, except the Download folder section. He missed out that you need to download the SuperSU binary to your device. Downloads are here:
Here are the Samsung USB Drivers for Mobile Phones (NOTE: You may not need these at all since you can actually begin the flashing process without them, so don't bother):
http://developer.samsung.com/galaxy/others/android-usb-driver-for-windows
Here is the TWRP recovery (NOTE: Please download the 3.0.2.0 version, since it is more up-to-date and more likely to succeed:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...sm-g361f-unofficial-twrp-2-8-7-3-0-2-t3425402
And here is ODIN (You already have it, but here it is anyway. Also, download the first one, not the second one, since the first one is newer):
https://odindownload.com/download/
Also, the SuperSU binary (Note: It's easier to open it in your Android browser and download the file from there. That avoids the need to transfer the file from the PC to the phone):
http://www.supersu.com/download
Now, it could, in fact, be a problem with the USB cable. It's highly unlikely, but mine is a bit tempermental, insisting that if I nudge it, it'll stop working.
Notify me how it goes, because this worked first time for me.

Go to developer settings and check OEM Unlocking (if its already checked recheck it) and then reboot. Then close the phone and install TWRP.
Hi I've managed to install the correct twrp on my device but when I go into recovery I get the same message not seandroid enforcing. I've followed all the steps but I can't get it into recovery on twrp. Does anyone have a solution please?
Hi everyone...
Two days ago, and a few hours after installing the 8.1 update, my mom's J7 touchscreen was unresponsive, including the power button. It ran out of battery, and after I restarted it this morning, it goes to recovery mode after it tries installing system update and the No command screen is displayed.
I've searched on the web for hours and hours for solutions but none of them have worked, most probably because it requires the phone to be connected to the PC, and my PC (Windows 10) isn't even seeing the phone via USB (can't use ODIN nor ADB). BTW, the debug option most probably wasn't turned on prior to soft brick.
Phone Info:
SM-J730G J730GDXS5BRK1
No root
Error on recovery screen (the SD card has been taken out):

Additional info: As I've mentioned, the power button isn't responsive, so I press the volume down button to choose the recovery options. I've tried all recovery options except for:
Wipe data / factory reset, as the phone data isn't backed up (mom doesn't want to lose the personal data as much as possible)
Apply update from ADB
Apply update from SD card
All other options are looping back to the recovery screen after installing system update screen.
Lastly, in recovery, there's an option at the bottom that states "Lacking storage booting". I'm sure that would mean something to someone reading this that would help solve the issue.
An OS downgrade or same 8.1 fix is preferred, as long as the phone data is intact. Any and all help would be much appreciated.
Try "Emergency Software Recovery" feature in Samsung Smart Switch for PC.
It could be a hardware issue as well. Clean your USB charging port with a brush and a drop of alcohol. Then dry with a hair drier.
Good evening, have you tried installing the latest version of the firmware by odin?
If not, try this.
probably its touch stopped working after the update because it was not original (already it has been changed) or it can be other cases ..
if you still can not install the newest firmware downloaded from the sammobile site you can do the second procedure.
Such you will find in this same forum.
In it you use the pc miracle box application and downgrade to 7.1.
this is the title of the post.
follow all procedures.
and it will be all right.
Fix Touch does not work on Samsung J7 Pro (J730G, J730GM) when updating Android 8.1

PS: Putting it into download mode: Turn the device on by holding the volume down buttons + Home + Power
Thank you. I've tried 3 times now as I am getting stuck at II. Flash TWRP and fix rom. After I flash the nougat rom via TWRP, phone reboots and the logos keep on looping. Either I am doing something wrong or I'm missing a step, or the zip is not working for my mom's phone.

Then when you get to step II open the twrp and go into settings and uncheck the prompt option to install supersu if it is checked. whenever you do something in twrp uncheck this option. I do not know if this will be your problem but this always happens to me, if not clear at the time of restart the cell phone is in the loop screen exactly because of this option.

Checked TWRP Settings and there's no option / tickbox for supersu. I think one thing that I'm doing wrong is that I'm formatting data in TWRP during the wipe process instead of just sliding it to restore factory settings. I will try again later today after work.
Also, one thing I've noticed after flashing TWRP is that I have to enter recovery mode twice - the first time, it goes to the No command error screen then goes to stock recovery. Only after a reboot in the stock recovery would the phone enter TWRP recovery.

Just one more thing. In tutorials on how to install twrp. when you enter twrp the first thing you should do is format the data. then install the rmm state prenormal and bypass files and only then install magisk or a custom rom.

Before trying to flash TWRP, first flash a full stock firmware and make sure your can at least boot all the way up to the main screen.
Once that works, only then try to flash any custom recovery or custom rom.
Same prob
I've just faced the same problem a few days after my update as well. Did you figure out how to get it back to normal? Thank you!
