Tap the green 'scan' button and wait.
When it has finished scanning you'll see this screen......
Tap the red 'clean' button and wait for it to erase the rubbish.....
Once it's finished, exit the app......job done....easy as that.
It would probably be best to do a reboot after this has been done....just to make sure.....

Yeah....The 'corpse finder' scan should do it.....

Ok so step by step first my phone is running g900r4 lollipop 5.0 it says it is deodexed using a odex and geodexed scanner so after that I really root my phone install the sd maid scan it using sd maid and it should remove the odex or geodexed file then reboot and begin debating the phone won't that cause issues with the boot time I thought odex was built to help the phone boot faster
The app/system generated odex files will improve overall response time for app startup, but if you have odex files for missing apps, you will see the error messages you are getting.
http://i.imgur.com/rVnFwJM.jpg
Ah ok so root the phone remove all apps I don't want then run the sd maid and reboot and the messages should go away?
In theory......yes exactly....
http://i.imgur.com/rVnFwJM.jpg
Now if they do not go away can you point me in a direction where there may be a custom rom without all the bloatware for this phone model and os version
Or should I drop another line in the forum
If the error messages don't stop appearing, I wouldn't talk about flashing a custom rom as a first resort.....
All you really need to do in the first instance would be to flash a custom recovery which will give you a lot more in the way of cache/dalvic/data wipes than stock recovery. These extra types of wipes will, in virtually every case, be enough to correct any issues you might have.
If you're happy with debloated stock, and the only issue you have are the error messages, why go and change the whole OS?.......

WARNING: THIS WILL WIPE /DATA! All of your data will be erased!
So the first thing I did when I got home from work is root my Thunderbolt and create a backup of a fresh wipe of Thunderbolt stock.
First off:
Android OS: 2.2.1
Device: mecha
ROM Name: 1.12.605.6
Rooted (Unsecured boot.img): Yes
Rooted (Superuser.apk + su): Yes
Busybox Installed: Yes
Nano text editor installed: Yes
/system/framework deodexed: Yes
/system/app deodexed: Yes
ROM will wipe data: Yes
Second:
I have tested it does work in its entirety. I had to remove the lines where it flashed boot.img but that is still in the .zip it just doesn't do anything with it since that code in the script it throws errors but without it flashes fine.
Third:
This is completely stock so it does contain the bloat. You can remove it as you see fit using Root explorer or freeze them with titanium backup.

Sorry guys for leaving you all hanging. I do have a newer .zip to flash but it doesn't have any of the bloatware (CityID etc) and has some google apps that are on market (Except for quicksearch because it stops the search button from working) to /data/app.
I will upload that later if you like .
Please do. This file is very much appreciated.

Deodexed in a sense means you can edit and change the files as you like allowing custom figures, images, and animations in place of the stock. It basically allows for people to completely customize rooms to make the run and look as they like. Odexed is completely opposite and you would know a rom is odex because there are .odex files next of ever .apk in the system/app/ folder. You cannot change anything in a odex rom. The completely stock rom is odexed.

What I did is let it download and reboot into custom recovery and then stopped the flash. Told TWRP to cancel the flash, then rebooted the system and got rid of the update. Then went into /cache and deleted the update file. Never been prompted again.
Usually you can let it try to install and fail to get rid of any nagging. Say if you make a backup of S-Health app and uninstall/freeze it and maybe some other stock system apps the update will fail anyways since it can't update those.
Thanks.

You need to remove Xposed, edit your build.prop and then reinstall Xposed in order to stop this from happening.

There is if you go to system settings>applications>application manager> swipe all the way to the right to turned off. It will be there, select it and turn it back on.
And as I said if you just force stopped it it would probably turn back on in 24 hours. If after a couple days you can't do anything just save all your settings via Kies and Odin back to stock, re root and Kies back your settings

Just go to the Samsung App store and just look for HealthService or just reinstall S-health.. If you don't have the Samsung apps APK just download it from the site. Hopefully it works!
Try clearing app data on the service if you can
Could you fully delete the two apks (S Health and Health Services) from the system/priv-app folder, uninstall Xposed, restart the phone, then install shealth and health service with updated apks from the web (download, unzip, and install as normal apks).
I still can't post links to updated apks on the web as I'm a new poster, so either google for SHealth 3.2 or type mediafire, then ".com/" and then: download/w1bdd7665aiyogo/S-Health3_2.zip
Install, open, and let them update (if they will - probably won't be needed as both files are in the zip and both are current) and you should be good to go.
For what it's worth, I most recently installed Shealth AFTER having installed Xposed after also having started with a clean wipe (Oden) and having run the bloatware deletion .bat file from another thread (My order was wipe, root, SU, debloat, Xposed, then SHealth update manually as it wouldn't on its own).
I had removed the SHealth files from the .bat file, but I found I was stuck with an older version of SHealth that wouldn't update (I assume I also blew out some required Samsung updater with the bloatware bat). I used the above method to update my SHealth app to the latest version (I wanted the stress feature). In the end, I have Xposed running all sorts of things and current SHealth apps that work fine.
If you go into Titanium Backup, you should be able to turn it back on there. It's the same as "unfreezing" an app. In titanium, click on the app, and then click "defrost" .
If you also notice, any app that you turned off in the application manager, will show up as "frozen" in titanium backup.

That's very strange. Root shouldn't affect those codes as they are generic for all devices.

I see that. Do you use the stock rom? See if you have the actual apk file in your system apps
if you don't have the apk file I think I can send mine. I'm pretty sure if you manually inset the apk in the system folder and change the permissions to match what the other apps in the folder have it should work. I mean you may have to create a couple other files though like the carrier folder and the document in it.

I haven't used Flashfire since my G2 but it worked on factory roms and OTA'S then so it should now. If you have TWRP, then you have to untick recovery if you want to keep TWRP. I'm not really up on Flashfire and don't even look at their Google + community any longer. Someone over in XDA'S Flashfire forum should be able to answer better though.

I'll wait for your results. Please update with the steps. thank you in advance.
I flashed TWRP recovery as soon as I had my moto g4 a couple of months ago. Today I found there's an update. So I tried to download and install. It was failed after a couple of reboots. Every time it'll boot into TWRP recovery. Then I didn't know what to do. So I have to choose restart. After two times, it booted into the system and said something like "update failed, the system was not changed".
Now I download the update again. and wait for a practical method to get the OTA installed without affecting the existing data and TWRP recovery. Really don't want to flash and start from scratch again.

Was wondering about that OTA update that I'm constantly getting bugged about. Didn't realize you could just download it and not go ahead with the update so I've started downloading it.
Didn't know about FlashFire so I'll go looking for it, thanks for sharing your settings. Do you even need to copy the update to the external SD card ? It seems Flashfire lets you navigate on the internal storage ?
@ libralibra - you can do a full TWRP backup of your current setup and restore in case something goes wrong.
OK, update done and root preserved, unfortunately it's still bugging me about the update, how can we get rid of that? Deleting the whole /data/data/com.motorola.ccc.ota/ folder?

You can also go to Go to: Settings> App> Show System> ConfigUpdater, Force Stop, and turn off notificatons or disable it if you never want to receive notifications.
Thanks, that did the trick.

Thanks for your suggestion. 6gb is too big to be backuped. I'll need the root as well. Will root erase all my data?

Thank you. It seems that I should try flashfire a.s.a. I rooted it.
Update process performed, no problems. However, I would like to verify that the system has been acually updated. Flasfire didn't show any confirmation.
Is there a place where I can check that the system is updated?
Hey guys any idea when will we get Android N
Settings, about phone, security patch level should show some date late than 1 may 2016.
It's strange. After updating with Flashfire it keeps showing patch level 1 may 2016 and compile MPJ24.139-23.4
The flashed file (the one in /data/data/com.motorola.ccc.ota/app_download) is Blur_Version.24.24.4.athene.retail.en.US.zip
Do you have the same?
