Lock LTE to band 7 (2600 MHz) - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
I have problems with my mibile broadband and they could not fix it so the wanted me to send my modem to them and it was nothing wrong with it and the r*tards then said that I needed to test another modem to see if the on I have now is broken?????
Anywho, my speeds is 60 % of the time at 10-30 mbit%s 39.99999% ut's under 3 mbit/s so it's useless and every other full moon it's pumping out +60 mbit/s.
The best speeds in Sweden from Telenor is on band 7 so is it possible to lock the G" so it only uses that band, and if so, how?
Sorry for my s*itty english...
Thanks.

[Q] Imported Note 3 SM-N900T Locked or Region Unlocked?

Hello guys !
Newbie here, posting from Romania.
I've just received a Note 3 from US, it's the SM-N900T model, bought it online, guy said it is unlocked and region unlocked.
Inserted the Vodafone SIM that I have and nothing happens. I finally managed to find the network, but once i restarted the device, it's says "Searching".
I can't initiate calls. What do I need to do so I can use the phone?
Also it can't connect to my wireless router. It says "'authentication error occurred". Tried lots of stuff, like disabling the power mode of the wifi, router settings, but nothing!
Any help please. I just got this sweet phone and sadly i'm stuck !
Thank you!

I think it is region-locked, if it was network-locked would have asked directly for a code. You can ask in the specific N900T forum:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-tmobile
You might be able to use RegionLockAway to make it work (if you are rooted).

I did try the RegionLockAway method, but no success. Program said that terminated successfully but I still can't get my network!
If i try to initate calls i get a "Not registered on network". After i search for a GSM, i get Vodafone, try to connect but nothing.
Strangely it does say that i have full signal, though it's still searching for the network!
Hello !
I can make emergency calls, i just noticed! It doesn't ask for a particular code at all, just that i can't reach my network, which is very unpleasant!
Thanks

An update on the phone's status.
I live is a small city, and on my old phone the network is bang on.
Today, I took the Note 3 with me, hopefully i can find some answers elsewhere, and in a big important city, 50km away, the singal strength was excelent, it found the network immediately.
What could it be then ? Some antenna issues, software issues?
Thanks !
**Update!
About the WiFi connectivity. I have a router which is not wireless, connected to a ZyXeL access point.
This way i can't seem to connect the Note 3 to the wireless network as I do with my laptop. I have changed this setup to a single wireless router (ZyXeL) and it works great.
Does anyone have a clue about my no network in my town issue?
Cheers
Technically, yes it IS unlocked for international use. Unfortunately the only band that the 900T supports with Vodafone Romania is 2100 which is the fastest band next to LTE on the carrier. If your not getting 2100 on your current phone then your going to get no service at all because theres no bands or older networks to fall back on. In the bigger city vodafone is going to have their fastest network available as its more congested thus the signal, because it was connecting to the 2100 band which is nearly 4G so it would be super smooth.
The N9005 is the only N3 that actually supports Vodafones network in your country on every band even LTE rollout.

International bands according to TMO:
UMTS: Band IV (AWS);UMTS/HSPA+: AWS Band IV / 2100 / 1900 / 850;Band II (1900);Quad Band GSM;LTE
Quad-Band GSM should mean your hitting 900 & 1800Mhz too though.... which is a band redundant with 3G & 2G services.

Can I do something about this or I'm stuck with the 2100Mhz band ?
Clarification
Hello, I'm new to the XDA forums and I choose to post here because I have a similar issue. I also purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 from a T-Mobile store in the United States. It is the SM-N900T model. My situation is that this phone was activated on the American T-Mobile network and the North American region. I am receiving here in Romania because I'm staying for some time. I have been reading a lot on the internet that European note 3's have this huge problem with region locks from Samsung. Although I have not found anybody to say specifically that a North American region phone with a sim unlock will not work in a European country. When I receive the phone I will do a sim unlock but will that be enough to make it work here?

Yeah you can use any base, thats why N9005 roms are using whatever stable KK base is no matter the region. It doesnt effect what networks it can connect to overall. It just means you lose the UAE "My Number My Identity" IDs in settings so you cant register it with the TRA.

"QuadBand" implies it works on all of Vodafones frequencies, because quadband in itself...means it works on the 4 major worldwide bands which voda operates now if TMobile/Samsung locks it...then that would be different story. ill ask when they re-open.

It does not matter, it is campaign from TRA to keep people who sim-card share safe when somebody uses it illegally. only DU forces their users to register & you use your actual number.

[Q] Installed Echoe_Illusion ROM, but no 4G

Hi.
I installed the Echoe_Illusion rom some days ago and I like it
The bad part is that I don't seem to get 4G on it and the network I'm using and the place I'm in sure should have it.
I'm in Sweden and the build number is: Echoe_Illusion_KOT49H.G900fFXXU1ANCE.
Baseband: G900FXXU1ANC9
I'm starting to think that something is wrong with that baseband and my geographic placement, can I test it somehow, cos a test just gives me
about 25M down and 2M up when I saw another guy get 50M down and 40M up in the same place.
Is there a way to check the frequencies with a "secret" keypad code like in my old SGS2, I fiddled with that and got better speeds?
and another thing, is everything with Flash now out of the picture?
Read something that the last version was for Android 4.0, I tried that but firefox just hangs,

Double check the APN and make sure it's correct for your provider's LTE network.

You don't need any key for check frequency in Europe almost every privider use same frequency
Band 20 (800MHz)
Band 3 (1800 MHz)
Band 7 (2600 MHz)
Hutchison 3 Sweden 800 20 FDD
Hutchison 3 Sweden 2600 7 FDD
Hutchison 3 Sweden 2600 38 TDD
Net4Mobility Sweden 800 20 FDD
Net4Mobility Sweden 2600 7 FDD
Telia Sweden 800 20 FDD
Telia Sweden 1800 3 FDD
Telia Sweden 2600 7 FDD
If you want to know if your sim actually is working with an 3G or 4G network i use a simple apps called Open Signal
Open signal tell you what signal your SIM is working and also the cell number and position where it is connected
If give to you UMTS (3g) mean your SIM / Phone are not able to recognize LTE signal

Signal issue without LTE Band 20 (LTE FDD 800- (B20))

Hi guys..
This is my question: "What are the real problems without Band 20 (LTE FDD 800MHz (B20)) in daily use?"
I'm interested to purchase 6/128GB Chinese version.
I live in Italy, and my carrier is TIM... my 4G works on LTE FDD 800/1800/2600 (B3/B7/B20), and Chinese version has all bands except 800MHz (B20). Is this a real problem or not?
There is a method to know what is most important frequency in my area? I can't find one app that show my my actual band... i want try to test my S4 daily signal to write a map of most used frequencies in my area. Does anyone know what app i can use for this?
Depending on where you live and what you carrier is, you risk not having LTE.
EDIT : If you're living in the countryside, you "need" it.
Sorry but i've launched the thread after wrong click... i've edited the original post.
I know that i risk to lost 4G connection... and i don't want this!
But if i test my area's band, and 800MHz is the 1% of signal coverage.. the problem is solved! (800MHz is short range band, but strong enough to penetrate buildings, but i've ADSL )

If your area is well covered by band 3 and 7 then you don't really need it.
Band 7 : Short range, "bad" indoor signal, big capacity. Great if you live in some big town, with a lot of antennas.
Band 20 : Long range, good indoor signal, "little" capacity. Great if you live in the countryside, with fewer towers.
Band 3 : "between" the other 2.
Ok thanx man... now i need any app that help me to trace my signal, i want scan it in my daily use, to know how much time (and where) i really use 800MHz Band! Can u help me to find an appropriate app? Are three days that i try, but nothing, I can't find the right app.

In Italy you can check the provider homepage. 800 MHz is up to 50 Mbit/s, 1800 MHz up to 100 or 150 Mbit/s and 2600 MHz is the rest (300 Mbit/s and more).

Yes i know the Band20 (800MHz) importance, but in the end i've found a way to know which band i really use in my town (I live in a small town with 60,000 people). Simply using a Service Mode (+#0011#) i can see the actual band in use, and with my great surprise, i only use Band3 (1800 MHz) on LTE and Band1 (2100 MHz) on UMTS!!! I've found Band20 only a few times, and for few seconds. Ex: in my house i use only Band3 (speedtest 75 or more Mbps everywhere in my house), in 2 days no Band20 (but in my house isn't a problem, i've the optical fiber...) - Using my car i've turned around the town, and all town is covered by Band3, even the sea area, on the beach only Band3 (speedtest 50 Mbps)!!! A little problem at my work, in my office i've found Band20 (LTE) and Band1 (HSPA), but Band20 with -115 Dbs and Band1 -90 Dbs, and after many speedtest with Band20 i've max 5 Mbps, and with Band1 max 10 Mbps (But i work in a police central and i've a tons of PC - Radios - and it's really full of interference)!
In conclusion the Band20 is not really important for me! I do other tests and after i decide!

LTE+ plus icon?

Here in Italy I got LTE+ icon with TIM carrier but the speed is almost the same reached in classic LTE: 25mb/s download speed.
The same SIM card used in S7 edge reaches 95 mb/s.
With VODAFONE carrier, instead, I ve never seen the LTE+ icon but just LTE and the speed is about 20-25 mb/s.
Anyone want to share his experience?
Thanks!
Anyone?
LTE+ or 4G+ is at lest a higher form of channel bonding. Try dial code *0011#, *2263# should have band selection,(note this may not always work but did on my note5) it should bring up tower info. Band 2 is [email protected] when LTE+ you will have like band 4 not sure it might be [email protected], this channel bonds to 30mhz with the 20mhz becoming download only vs 10mhz for download and 10mhz upload. The band 4 or whatever your carrier chooses (I have AT&T we use Band 2 and Band 4 as our top bonding, I set Band 2 as favored for default, best performance) becomes the upload only. This makes a + environment like HSPA vs HSPA+.

unfortunatelly these codes don't work in italy...
Ive got a couple of questions and wondering if anyone can help.
Gsmarena lists the note fe as cat12, dose anyone know if cat9 would be supported a cat12 device?
Prior to doing any mods on my n935s, i was not getting 4G+ or the highest data speeds using the EE UK network. On my G935F with the same sim card id would get 4G+ and higher data speeds. Im pretty sure that is due to the fact the S7 was able to make use of 3 cell carrier aggregation. The G935F is CAT 9.
I have installed TWRP on my N935S and then installed the Note 7 BTU CSC to see if my N935S can make use of 3CA, however nothing interms of data speeds has changed. I dont think the phone allows the 3CA connection. I can see from the specs that all the nessacery bands are supported by the N935S.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Does Max Pro M1 support Band 41 2500 Mhz?

Does Max Pro M1 support Band 41 2500 Mhz?
In the specification its not mentioned. Any VF MH user tested this?
Vodafone maharashtra uses band 1 and band 41 for 4G, it will be a big setback if Band 41 is not supported by the phone.
Should i assume it doesn't support TDD Band 41? As no one told in affirmative?
Then Vodafone MH customers better avoid buying this phone, as High bandwidth 20Mhz Band 41 signal will not be pickedup by the phone in Maharashtra and Goa.
It will lead to low throughout issues in those places having good band 41 signal strength.

Agreed that 7 LTE bands supported, but my telco, Vodafone MH & Goa transmits LTE in only 2 bands:
Band 1 (5 Mhz Bandwidth DL)
Band 41 (20 Mhz Bandwidth DL)
hence its clear that only Band 41 can give quality throughput to Vodafone MH & GOA customers and not Band 1.
Its shameful that Max Pro M1 doesnt support Band 41 considering MH & Goa is a huge service area.
I am going for the elusive Redmi Note 5 Pro now, cancelled order for Max Pro M1 last week itself.
Thanks for your reply though.
