Hi everyone,
I have very strange problem. I searched all the forum for some fix but nothing helped me to fix the problem.
My problem is my phone getting very laggy under %40 percent battery. I did lots of thing like, tried every kernel for 4-5 cycle battery charge/discharge, installed every n910c stock rom and n5 ports. Even I bought a brand a new original samsung battery for my mobile but nothing changed, same same same...
After installing every rom I calibrated my battery at my first full charge. after %40-45 percent battery status phone works laggy and battery drains very very fast. In 10-15 minutes battery gets empty and turns itself off.
If I can not solve this problem I will change my mobile in to a new brand except samsung
Does anyone have the same problem or knows the solution?
Hello and thank you for using Q/A,
I had this problem on my Samsung Galaxy S3 too. I installed CyanogenMod and bought a new battery. I don't know, which fixed the problem.
If you want you can install a Custom ROM. CyanogenMod or Bliss to check, if it's a battery problem.
Kind regards
Trafalgar Square

Thanks for your answer but I already bought a brand new original battery and tried with stock 5.1.1 rom but result was the same.
Also installed the CM 13 build 7 rom and the result was the same. always laggy under %40-45 battery status.
Hi,
hmm. That can't be.
Maybe a other person will answer you than. Good luck

Hi all,
So I recently bought a new genuine note 4 Battery off of Amazon (bargain at £12!) and I'm just wondering about what's the best way to start using it?
The reason I ask is currently i'm currently running stock 4.4.4 BTU (before I was running 5.01. BTU) and I have the issue with the battery either going from 15% to 0% in minutes or sometimes it just turns off at 10% (like literally the phone just dies)
I've tried everything from a restore, new firmware, old firmware and event reset the battery status via the service menu. I'm just worried that i'll insert this new battery and may have the same issues, perhaps I'm looking into things too much?
Or should I give one of the new 5.1.1 roms a go?
Thanks.

ive only had that battery issue when i was using an old iphone 4s, i think a new battery should behave like a new battery and not have magic disappearing charge %
Yeah, I think it might just be the battery. Give the 5.1.1 roms a go. I installed one on my Z2 and it was better battery wise. I am still waiting for the update on my Note 4 G variant, I hope it will also make things better.
I have Note 4 SM-910C Unrooted international on stock ROM 5.0.1.
my problem started with battery charging to around 80% then stops or take like 5 hours to reach 100% then when I use the phone battery suddenly drops from 20-30% to zero.
if I remove the battery then reinstall it reads 16-18% but may drop back to zero.
when turned off while charged it charges to 100% normally
It is irrespective of charger/cable i use (2mA).
tried hard reset and battery calibrate (non-root) but no good.
Any help with this problem

Sounds like your battery has gone rogue so you might wanna buy a new battery. A great example why not to buy Note 5 lol.
Maybe it's a bug in your rom build so why don't you try and upgrade from 5.0.1 to 5.1.1.
I have not used stock roms since the s2 days and after using custom roms I have never looked back.

i have the same problem with my N910F.. at 20% my phone dies.. like today it was 20% dropped to 4% in an instance and then died..
this is happening since upgrading to 5.1.1 (dirty)..
is it possible to fix this with a factory reset ?
Try Battery calibration and battery repair from the store... If it's not doing something, then replace the battery
make sure your battery is fully charged. From dialing interface typing in *#0228# to check battery info and clicked "quick start" at the bottom of the screen, then your battery will drop down quickly, try these steps several times.

Yeah, Samsung has a solution. Buy a new phone as they will never update the 1 year old one even though they ****ed it up...
As much as Iove Note family I am more and more pissed with Samsung and eventually will stop buying their ****.... Already done with their watches by the way...
Definitely a degraded battery problem.
I got a new battery and problem now solved.
I have the same problem and already bought a new battery but the issue continues.
(Sorry for my English)
Hello guys, can anyone help this newbie
My redmi 2 is running on Nexus Experience rom 10.2, this is my first custom ROM
I have been using this for two days and experienced a weird battery drain. It was decreasing quickly compared to stock ROM and when it reached around 30%, it suddenly dropped to 0%. Charge this takes forever and sometimes the screen becomes unresponsive (never experienced this with miui rom).
I had wiped cache, data, dalvik and battery since first installed . Only stock's application + messenger apps.
My main problem is just that weird battery drain, i love this beautiful stable rom though.
I guess something wrong with the kernel? Any suggestion for this ?
thank you i really appreciate your help.
Hello
Use This KERNEL http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-2/development/kernel-berserk-kernel-t3325044
really nice with same ROM I installed this KERNEL..

Wow thanks for the advice. No more battery drop by using this KERNEL and I even get a better battery life and faster charging. It feels like using a stable rom without any bugs noticed
Hey guys,
I have an S3 Neo since 8 months, it was all good, but now i started to face a problem, a big one.
Whenever i charge my phone and i use it, for all.the day the battery is good, but when the percentage reaches around (38%-43%) the phone's screen starts doing some strange waves (flickering) then it turns off, and it won't boot up unless i plug it to the charger and it indicates that the battery is 0% (fully discharged). I tried to replace battery 2 times, but it's always the same, i tried that "Quick Start" Battery gauge chip reset. But no result.
So.... anyone knows what I'm really facing?
Hi i had the same problem... U must buy new battery your battery is dead.
I did bought two batteries, problem persists !
An example of what I'm facing
This is an example, now I'm trying to calibrate the phone by only charging to 50%
My screen also flickers, but only when it's below 10 percent. Maybe it's a kernel issue. Is see you have a custom rom, have you tried switching kernels?
GT-I9301I rom: cm 12.1 (nikola)
Use an app called Battery Calibration to calibrate your battery. You can download it throught Play Store.
But tell us: What ROM are you using? Whar kernel?
Sent from my S3 Neo+ (GT-I9301I) running Stock ROM with @sev3n1985 Kernel
I tried many roms and kernels and all of them have the same issue with my device. I have already tried battery calibration, not working :/ . Now i found that it won't happen if i don't charge my phone more than 60%. And battery is holding more (2h30min sot with 45%) so I'm gonna grab a kmesg and attach here.
Yeah I had that problem to when I was in motion rom but it was fixed when I restored it to stock can any one tell's us why????

Its a bug in motion rom. Try changing lockscreen effects to none. That ll help u in terms of flickering

I had the same problem 6 months ago! I decided to buy an original S3 battery (the difference is that it's made in Korea, NOT in China) and now I always have 4h+ screen on time with the stock rom and s3ven kernel!
Sent from my s3ve3g using XDA Labs
Hi dear XDA members I have got a real serious problem and it seems I'm the only one who has got this problem so i decided to open a new thread here is the all information you need to know:
I have been around custom ROMs for a while. after trying a lot of ROMs I was noticing that my battery draining so fast just like never before(sorry if there is mistake in my writing) I decided to use calibration but problem didn't solve.
so I decided to return to lollipop when phone boot up It seemed that battery is at same level but phone is heating up (there is no app installed I did full wipe) so I decided to change battery and it didn't help either. It seems there is a software problem but I don't understand what? Is there any problem with my flashing procedure? I just used Odin and flashed the ROM just like the way I do every time.( I should mention that I can't contact Samsung because I don't have warranty)
Device:Note3 N9005
Odin:3.12.5
Action:full wipe and flashing ROM from RR nougat to stock lollipop
I decided to use calibration
YOU cannot calibrate the battery its false .

Yes I saw other overheating threads and it's not working because it seems that reverting back to lollipop caused this problem( I want to get back to lollipop because of great battery life I had and plus that full wipe doesn't work and overheating still exists even without doing anything) Currently Im using Magma-NX Rom UX9 which is battery drainer just like other Note 7 ports(at least for me) I don't have overheating with this Rom but I noticed reduced performance and laggy UI
Btw,
what do you mean by"Have you checked battery contacts are clean?"? I don't get it.
And at last If you don't mind please offer me a good Rom with great battery life Android version is not important. Thanks
P.S I want my battery life back

battery remove and look at the metal contacts .
offer me a good Rom with great battery life
You will find opinions under SEARCH .
But as you complain about ports i suggest a local repair shop and let them fix .
