Hey guys,
I have an S3 Neo since 8 months, it was all good, but now i started to face a problem, a big one.
Whenever i charge my phone and i use it, for all.the day the battery is good, but when the percentage reaches around (38%-43%) the phone's screen starts doing some strange waves (flickering) then it turns off, and it won't boot up unless i plug it to the charger and it indicates that the battery is 0% (fully discharged). I tried to replace battery 2 times, but it's always the same, i tried that "Quick Start" Battery gauge chip reset. But no result.
So.... anyone knows what I'm really facing?
Hi i had the same problem... U must buy new battery your battery is dead.
I did bought two batteries, problem persists !
An example of what I'm facing
This is an example, now I'm trying to calibrate the phone by only charging to 50%
My screen also flickers, but only when it's below 10 percent. Maybe it's a kernel issue. Is see you have a custom rom, have you tried switching kernels?
GT-I9301I rom: cm 12.1 (nikola)
Use an app called Battery Calibration to calibrate your battery. You can download it throught Play Store.
But tell us: What ROM are you using? Whar kernel?
Sent from my S3 Neo+ (GT-I9301I) running Stock ROM with @sev3n1985 Kernel
I tried many roms and kernels and all of them have the same issue with my device. I have already tried battery calibration, not working :/ . Now i found that it won't happen if i don't charge my phone more than 60%. And battery is holding more (2h30min sot with 45%) so I'm gonna grab a kmesg and attach here.
Yeah I had that problem to when I was in motion rom but it was fixed when I restored it to stock can any one tell's us why????

I had the same problem 6 months ago! I decided to buy an original S3 battery (the difference is that it's made in Korea, NOT in China) and now I always have 4h+ screen on time with the stock rom and s3ven kernel!

Hi all, I am facing a strange problem, my phone is switching off automatically indicating low battery. However when I plug in charger battery indicator gives battery more than 50% sometimes close to 75%. I've tried a lot of ROM's mostly based on great work by Marcellusbe CM7.2 Alpha 8.3. Following are the list of ROM's I've tried and faced the same issue
GB:
AOSP GINGERBREAD STYLE ROM
CyanogenMod 7.2.0-RC3
Kyrillos' ROM 10.5
Currently Using : Pranjal's ROM
KISADWORX ROM v7.2.1
ICS:
ICS AOSP/CM9 (Alpha)
AOKP/CM9
All ROM's are fast and good, fits my requirement. But this battery off issue is there in all for me.
But battery indicator while charging in power off mode is always always showing battery level higher than 50%.
Help me out here. I need battery backup that can at least work for 1 full day.
Help me. Something is definitely wrong.
P.S. Also tried this with new battery. So no battery issue.

Thanks for the help. Not exactly what I am looking for. Everything isn't always simple as it looks to.
I am posting this after trying all possibilities in past 2-3 weeks.
Same happening with me also. Specially when I am taking pictures or videos.. taking into account the battery is quite old .. but calling time is still moderate.. but gallery/camera are consuming enormous charge,,
I've also had this issue for quite some time with different ROMs. Right now I'm using Kyrillos 9.6 OC for daily use and I don't have that battery indicator jumps anymore. Maybe you can try that ROM to check if it's a software or hardware problem.

Hello,
I'm getting wrong battery percentage after every reboot, and can't really tell why this is happening....
I've tried to use battery calibration app but it doesn't seem to fix the problem...
I'm on Dr. Ketan's K8 ROM, N900..
How can this be fixed?

The problem is pure ROM problem.
The problem is pure ROM problem I guess. wait for the next update.

I'm using stock rom kitkat, and every time i charge after full battery drain, when it goes bellow 15% and I charge to full in one go. But after full charge right then if I restart the device the percentage goes to 98%, 97% or sometime even 96%. Even if I charge full when the phone is switched and after done if I start it shows 98%. I never seen 99%-100% after full charge restart. So I think its a usual issue for all.
Use the phone until battery is empty and then charge it to max.

Hi,
I saw many folks are facing similar problems, but my problem is little different. Now a days whenever I play Candy Crush my S4's battery drains out very quickly i.e. 60-70% in the span of 5 - 10 minutes, also it gets charged up with equally fast (about 80 % in 10 min). My phone is just 3 months old...earlier there was no such problem. I haven't installed any new apps in between. Is it the problem with the battery or with the handset?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks
The battery drain in almost time cause of software problems
But charging too fast Im saying it could problem with the battery it self
Try to charge your phone with original charger

I don't think this will work.
My guess is you have a faulty battery. That happens. Get a new one.

lennyz1988 I respect you but here i think there is a fault in battery caliberation. Your advice is also true but why not try a factory reset before purchasing a new one?
have you tried looking at your battery on settings ? see if what apps consumes most of your battery

It's because from what I remember, battery callibration is not regulated at rom level. It's a chip inside the battery.
For example:
With the old HTC Desire you could wipe battery stats in the recovery.
For the Samsung Galaxy S2 this didn't have any effect because the chip inside the battery regulated the calibration.
From what I remember it's the same for the S4. If the calibration does not work (eg charging to 100%, taking the battery out, putting it back in, recharge again till 100%) then his battery is faulty. So unless he messed his rom up seriously, no wipe or other rom will help. His OS just reads the data from the chip.

Thanks Guys... most of you were absolutely right... I took my S4 to the service center and it was found that it was the problem with the battery... it got deformed as well... I got it replaced now... You guys are great ... Thanks once again.
I have Note 4 SM-910C Unrooted international on stock ROM 5.0.1.
my problem started with battery charging to around 80% then stops or take like 5 hours to reach 100% then when I use the phone battery suddenly drops from 20-30% to zero.
if I remove the battery then reinstall it reads 16-18% but may drop back to zero.
when turned off while charged it charges to 100% normally
It is irrespective of charger/cable i use (2mA).
tried hard reset and battery calibrate (non-root) but no good.
Any help with this problem

Sounds like your battery has gone rogue so you might wanna buy a new battery. A great example why not to buy Note 5 lol.
Maybe it's a bug in your rom build so why don't you try and upgrade from 5.0.1 to 5.1.1.
I have not used stock roms since the s2 days and after using custom roms I have never looked back.

i have the same problem with my N910F.. at 20% my phone dies.. like today it was 20% dropped to 4% in an instance and then died..
this is happening since upgrading to 5.1.1 (dirty)..
is it possible to fix this with a factory reset ?
Try Battery calibration and battery repair from the store... If it's not doing something, then replace the battery
make sure your battery is fully charged. From dialing interface typing in *#0228# to check battery info and clicked "quick start" at the bottom of the screen, then your battery will drop down quickly, try these steps several times.

Yeah, Samsung has a solution. Buy a new phone as they will never update the 1 year old one even though they ****ed it up...
As much as Iove Note family I am more and more pissed with Samsung and eventually will stop buying their ****.... Already done with their watches by the way...
Definitely a degraded battery problem.
I got a new battery and problem now solved.
I have the same problem and already bought a new battery but the issue continues.
(Sorry for my English)
Hi everyone,
I have very strange problem. I searched all the forum for some fix but nothing helped me to fix the problem.
My problem is my phone getting very laggy under %40 percent battery. I did lots of thing like, tried every kernel for 4-5 cycle battery charge/discharge, installed every n910c stock rom and n5 ports. Even I bought a brand a new original samsung battery for my mobile but nothing changed, same same same...
After installing every rom I calibrated my battery at my first full charge. after %40-45 percent battery status phone works laggy and battery drains very very fast. In 10-15 minutes battery gets empty and turns itself off.
If I can not solve this problem I will change my mobile in to a new brand except samsung
Does anyone have the same problem or knows the solution?
Hello and thank you for using Q/A,
I had this problem on my Samsung Galaxy S3 too. I installed CyanogenMod and bought a new battery. I don't know, which fixed the problem.
If you want you can install a Custom ROM. CyanogenMod or Bliss to check, if it's a battery problem.
Kind regards
Trafalgar Square

Thanks for your answer but I already bought a brand new original battery and tried with stock 5.1.1 rom but result was the same.
Also installed the CM 13 build 7 rom and the result was the same. always laggy under %40-45 battery status.
Hi,
hmm. That can't be.
Maybe a other person will answer you than. Good luck
