I've really enjoyed my time with my GS4, but I have since moved to the Nokia 1020 and for me, it is a better fit.
I'm wondering what is my GS4 worth? It is the 32GB, Grey, AT&T Version, currently flashed with an AOKP ROM. it does however have a little body damage (The plastic chrome on the bottom right corner is scratched, see picture).
I'd prefer to sell it locally for cash, but if does anyone recommend any online services they've used I'd be interested to read your opinion.
Click for the big picture, I can't believe the detail and dust that shows up on these pictures!

You could use eBay and try selling it there. If everything else is working perfectly and it has slight damage, you shouldn't have a problem selling it for around $300-$400. Due to the retail price of the unlock galaxy s4 is $580.
Xda developers provides you with Swappa.com it's tight at the top of your browser, little blue icon.
Please use this venue for selling or buying. This does not elongated in development forum.

Have a great day!
Hello guys! My LG G2 (d802) got cracked and unfortunatly my touch got partly damaged and the phone is at the current stand unusable.
As I am pretty dependent on having a working phone, I bought a galaxy s6, however I miss the development which the LG G2 has with masters like @dorimanx and @Cloudyfa.
So, I want to repair it and I wounder if there is any people in here who have done it whic have any dealers of a new g2 (d802) screen to recommend? Any thoughts on how hard it is to repair the screen on G2, and good vidoes on how to do it are highly appriciated!
Hello,
Seeing as though no one has replied I will
I have replaced the screen on my G2 a couple times, along with my partners Galaxy S4 plus dozens of others, I repair phones for a bit of extra cash. IMO the G2 and S4 are what I would call easy to repair, if you are confident you can be careful enough I say go ahead.
I buy screens from eBay and various online stores, I have never had an issue with a replacement off ebay. You can buy the screen by itself or you can buy the screen already fitted to a frame, if you get the one in the frame, while it is slightly dearer, it saves you alot of time removing the broken screen and fitting the new one to your frame. All you would have to do is remove everything from your phone and fit it to the new frame. Watch a couple videos on youtube on replacing the screen on the G2 to get an idea.
BTW my G2 was the first phone I replaced a screen on and I had no issues
Thanks! I will probably order a g2 screen on ebay, hopefully it will come before christmas
I have changed the galaxy s3 screen before so I probably have the "skills" to repair it, I hope.
If you have replaced a screen on an S3 then the G2 should be no trouble at all
Good luck mate!
I've edited the whole post to simplify it:
Dropped nine-day-old Zenfone 2 Laser (ZE551KL). My heart shattered, as did the display.
Asus Canada wants $124 to repair it (Canadian dollars; estimate provided by telephone representative), and the only location to repair it is 3388 km (2105 mi) away and apparently takes walk-ins only, but I'm quite comfortable repairing it myself if the repair process is similar in ease to the Zenfone 2 walkthrough.
Searching for ZE551KL LCD modules returns only two or three matches. Since I can't post links because I'm too new at xda, I'll just post the search terms: "90AZ00T1-R20010"* and "90AZ00T1-R20020"* (I don't know what the difference is, but they're both unavailable anyway), as well as "B90AZ00T1-R20010" (which I would need to e-mail about availability, compatibility, and pricing). (Note the leading B on the Czech website part number, which makes searching for the module a bit difficult, since searching for either of the part numbers only ends up returning the original pages).
Update: I heard back from AsusParts.eu (where I found the asterisked parts above), and they said that they can't get the parts and that I'd need to get it serviced through Asus. The phone was only released in November, though, so I'm wondering if part availability will change (not just with them, but in terms of the lack of availability anywhere online).
The rest of the search results are for:
ZD551KL (Zenfone Selfie), which has essentially identical components and size, but the front display has a larger, better, centred 13 MP camera (compared to the ZE551KL smaller, offset 5 MP camera), but specifically mentions "ZD551KL ZE551ML" along the ribbon cable, and the AliExpress sellers say that it's compatible with both, while the eBay sellers only mention ZD551KL.
ZE551ML, which has different internal components, but the display and device dimensions appear to be identical.
If the ZD551KL display also supposedly works for the ZE551KL but the cameras are markedly different, it appears that I'd have to replace the camera module, too, and that's when I become particularly concerned about compatibility (both physical and firmware). Does anyone know if it actually would work?
The ZE551ML screen looks identical, but I'm not sure if it actually is. Does anyone know about this?
Any thoughts on other places to try finding the actual specific display?
I contacted Asus, and (no surprise) they won't give me any part-related information. "Send the phone in" is all that I'm told.
Thank you very much!
Well the smaller resolution might cause problems.

An authentic ZD551KL screen should have the same resolution as the ZE551KL. It's the size of the part, ribbon cable compatibility, and camera that I'm particularly worried about.
Can you buy it from the repair center or ASUS?

Unfortunately not. I figured there was nothing to lose trying to call them and live chat them requesting anything of the sort (part information, available to purchase, etc), but they would give me no information whatsoever and kept referring me back to opening a service ticket for repair. Their lips are sealed; they insist on doing it themselves.
ebay?

When I mentioned my search results in my post, it was a general Google search, including eBay and AliExpress.

Well you will need to see if the camera is attached to the same board and if you can get a different front plate so that the screen will fit on the different phone. The ribbon cable itself should be fine. Most parts should be rather modular. The only concern would be the front bezel.
Silly question but I just bought the phone on Amazon 32Gb and 3Gb RAM for $199. One of the selling point for me was the Corning Gorilla Glass 4, Its supposed to be pretty durable, so how did yours crack? And have you been able to find a replacement screen you can diy?

Mine was on a desk in a communal laboratory office, attached to a long charging cord. Someone asked where something was, so rather than describe its location, I got up to show her where it is. The long cord was tangled in my chair wheels, so when I backed my chair up, it pulled the phone off of the desk, making it land face down onto a slightly gritty laminate tile floor.
I found a screen from a place in Germany. They say that they get their parts directly from Asus. Both of those statements should make you expect that it won't be cheap, and indeed it is not: €80. That's within a few dollars of what Asus Canada was wanting to charge me.
I would like to clear one thing to you dear,
ZE551KL & ZD551KL have different screens.
ZE551KL has 401PPI but ZD551KL have 403PPI.
my working twrp for ZE551KL does not work with ZD551KL due to this issue ( same twrp with full working touch for ze551kl does not work with zd551kl touch)
decide yourself.
for confirmation you may read my twrp 2.8.6.0/2.8.7.0 thread.

Do you have any thoughts as to why the Selfie LCD (even direct from Asus) has "ZD551KL/ZE551KL" written on it, if that's the case? Just curious.
In the same boat
I dropped mine on New Year's eve
I searched on Aliexpress (tinyurlDOTcom/njtjav2) and found a replacement digitizer for around $35 (free shipping) which is not that expensive.
I'm from Europe btw.
Tomorrow I plan to go to my local Asus representative to see if they can replace it for around the same price, if not Aliexpress it is.

Just be really careful. All of the results that were in your link are screens for the Selfie (look at the top of the screen, and see how it differs from the Zenfone 2 Laser ZE551KL). The speaker and camera holes are in completely different spots.

Thanks for this.
I went to the official Asus representative today and they offered original replacement screen for around €50 with warranty which is a no brainer for me.
I'll wait about a month which would have been the same if I went the Aliexpress route (if they had a screen for my model that is).
To be honest I was surprised that it was that cheap. I guess competition is a good thing

Did you buy the phone using a credit card?
Many credit cards have accidental damage insurance for the first 90 days of purchase.
Usually you have to file a claim and get the work approved so it takes time, but they pay for it once you do all the paperwork stuff.
I checked Aliexpress today and found something that appears to be the right one, at least on the surface: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Orig...tizer-Assembly-Free-Shipping/32620432352.html I still need to call Asus to find out what it will cost in USD for me to get them to fix it.

I want you to know how nearly-completely-psychotically thankful I am for your post. I called by bank earlier to ask about what kind of purchase protection I had, and the answer was disappointing, but after you made your post, I looked up information for my bank, and it suggested that I should indeed have 90 days of accidental damage insurance.
I called them, filled out the form, and received the cheque a few days ago. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Awesome! Thank you very much!
I got this Sony Xperia Z3 Compact from my cousin and he said he has some problems with it
The rear is destroyed, I found a glass rear for $4 and bought it, I don't know if it's fake or real but I don't care if it's because it's just the back
My case is disintegrating in my hands, when I plug an earphone or the charger some piece just falls off, it is in a very bad condition, I found one at the shopee for $1.20 and bought it
The screen is taking off a little because of water damage, as I bought the glass back I went to a third-party store to change the back and glue the screen, and the price was $13.27, it came out pretty cheap
Unfortunately, due to the damage caused by the water, the screen was slightly affected with "transparent" stains, but it is not a big thing to use (remembering that I used my Galaxy S4 Mini with a HUGE Burn-in on the entire screen)
Do you think it's worth it? This phone is awesome, it runs everything I need
When I take it to the store, I'll show you the result later
man, it's worth it! I have a black one and I also changed the rear window. I'm using a custom ROM MIUI8 based on the stock MM version of sony. Until then very good. I unlocked the bootloader. How is your experience?

The experience has been very good, I thought it would be slow for being old but it surprised me a lot, sometimes I even play on it
I want to ask you a question, did you install MIUI v8 like any other ROM?
