1. It's recommended you keep the current bootloader on at all times, so I'd advise against that; you can flash any version modem you want.
2. Nope.

Hello guys, I've been wondering that is it safe updating my Note 4 which is currently flashed with SimplRom 5.0.1 to the newer SimplRom 5.1.1 version without wiping out my phone? I've already google about this topic but it came out multiple answers so I thought I'll a clearly answer here.
Thanks
Yeah you can do. Just flash the 5.1.1 bootloader and modem beforehand. If you have the N910F then the latest bootloader and modem is POK1

Hi guys
I just received Axon 7 2017G with stock Nougat 7.1.1
It is difficult to use stock when you are used to Adaway
So what would be the best way to root while staying on stock?
Is it possible to stay on stock recovery and locked bootloader?
Thanks!

3. No friggin way, you DFU brick your phone this way. You NEED to have unlocked bootloader if you modified the system.
How do I know which bootloader do I have? I'm currently running build B35.
Can someone direct me to a thread how to flash universal bootloader and modem?
If I use bkores flash toolkit, it said you have to flash universal bootloader, modem along with Rom and Gapps but in which order?
If using twrp for future flash do I need to flash universal bootloader and modem every time I switch ROM?
I'm not an expert but here's what I understand.
1. You don't have to worry which version you have unless you're flashing a custom ROM, usually for Nougat you want the B15 and for Oreo you want the B35.
2.Universal Bootloader>Modem>ROM>GApps>Magisk/SuperSU
3.You only need to flash it once if you're switching ROMs with the same android version.

If you haven't you need to unlock your bootloader before you can start flashing custom ROM. You can find a guide on how to do it here.

Hello everyone.
I will give my wife my grade 7.
My redmi note 7 is rooted with magisk and twrp installed.
I would like to leave him a clean phone, without custom ROMs etc ... and with a recovery stock.
I would like to flash him a Global ROM from MIUI.
For that :
1 / Do I use Miflash to install a global firmware?
2 / Is it better to check the box relock bootloader? I read that this could lead to some hard brick xiaomi ?
thank's for your answer
Miflash? Why not.
Looked? Why
Unlocked. Maybe u can fix it!
Stock? Why?
Batterylfe?
Adaption?
Hello
Quick question about using a Firwmare MIUI stock version and OTA updates.
Can OTA updates be done automatically if the bootloader is unblocked (no root / stock recovery) ?
Thank you in advance.
