How about underclock the procesor for decrese battery consumption? ...is it stable at 520mhz?
Regards,
P.C.
p.s. Great job!
Very stable so far.. will do battery test soon. but it take a long time to do so.
i wrote it on another post a few days ago.. but u can go higher than 530Mhz if u add new speeds in the manual settings - my jam reported it was stable at 600 and something... even 845Mhz worked!
The speed of CPU can show upto 1040 at 130 Mhz Bus speed.
but the MIPS rate won't change above 520 this means above 520
the CPU will ignore the freq multi and lock to 4x which is 520Mhz
What probability I have to "burn" my JAM procesor? :?: ...I don`t know a lot of PDA-s...but I do know about computers...is there the same thing?...the battery consumptions should increase...what about the heat?....

Primoz

Hello!
So this app was created originally for Motorola Defy, but i would like to test it on other devices.
It calculates the ideal Vsel based on your CPU frequency.
If you have 4 Vsels it will show you 4 results. If you have 3 it will show you 3
You can find the download link in the original thread (link below).
I hope you will enjoy it!

i gave it a try
the app is working, however i guess the results are way to low for the milestone
for comparison my milestone with cm7.2 has these settings:
800mhz @ 59
600mhz @ 52
400mhz @ 40
250mhz @ 32
125mhz @ 26
vsel calc gives me:
800mhz @ 42
600mhz @ 32
400mhz @ 22
250mhz @ 14
this is a big difference

Our kernel (motorola milestone (A853)) supports 5 slots for frequency. Have you deleted the 1000MHz/64vsel that kabaldan's cm7 includes by default?
btw, I've been running 1ghz at 60vsel for a while and it was stable. I guess it depends, up to a point, on individual device how high/low can mhz/vsel go.
But those values indeed seem too low.

yeah i deleted the default, i played some psx games with fpse and my milestone was pretty hot in couple of minutes. first i changed the cpu clock via cyanogen performance settings. everything worked fine but i wanted to save some battery too. so i looked until i found a 800mhz 10overclock file.
Added 5th row. Haven't fixed milestone settings yet...i'm on vacation
TO UPDATE THE APP JUST OPEN IT AND IN NOTIFICATION BAR THERE SHOULD BE UPDATE NOTIFICATION!
Hi guys i got my nexus 4 a few months back and i am very happy with it.
I rooted it and i'm running Cyanogenmod 10.1 with Franco kernel r136. My current settings are
Minimum CPU frequency- 384Mhz
Maximum CPU frequency- 1350Mhz (i underclocked it)
My CPU Voltage settings are (followed this thread

384 - 700 (-150)
486 - 700 (-175)

1026 - 825 (-200)

Just checked Device Monitor in franco kernel updater app and clicked it. It is showing CPU temperature is 42 Degrees(106 F). I am a bit worried with this temperature. Is it normal ?? I have no apps running in the background. When i watch 1080p movies it raises upto 48 Degrees.
Any way to reduce the temperature ??
Thank you
Thats normal for a quad core device like our Nexus 4.
And to be honest, it is actually quite low.
Think of it like this. Your body is on average 37 °C. The temperature of your cpu is only 5 degrees hotter than your body.
The cpu can handle way higher temperatures like that, eg. when playing a game.
And when your cpu gets too hot, the phone will shut itself off, so dont worry about it.
lol, that a few degrees warmer than your body temp.. 98.6F
Thanks for the reply. I live in india and we have 44 degrees temperature. Does this effect my phone ???

yes. your phone temperature will also depend on the ambient temperature around it, and itll affect how fast itll cool down too. if the temp around it is 44C, youll need to expect higher phone temps then someone living in a cooler environment.
I just restored my phone from the red blinking led issue, but my cpu temperature is nou 60C idle mode, i think thats a bit much..
Anybody experienced something similar?
I was just curious to what is the max temp of the CPU. because my note 2 will idle near 32*C. Whereas this phone idles 40*C. Battery also isles higher too.

100C is the safety temp. itll automatically shut down to cool off at 100C.
At first... sorry for my english.

Any try to underclock in the past with many apps get failed for Qualcomm mpdecision control of cpu frequency... ONLY 1st core are underclockable, disabling mpdecision with trickster mod give some results... randomly.
Running antutu many times we get worst results when cpu is hot. It's the Thermald that scale the frequency according to a table in respect of the temperature...
A simple idea... a simple trick... edit thermald!
edit the file:
/system/etc/thermald-8064.conf
and reboot.

Very nice, will have to give this a go!
So to convert this to human, both stock and mod throttles down to cpu 1.13ghz cpu and 128mhz gpu at 70c and act about the same till 50c.
below 50c the mod throttles down to 1.35ghz, while stock goes to 1.7ghz. That seem about right?
you can check CPU states with perfmon http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1933284

gpu with trickster mod

they throttle also lcd, fps, battery
i've introduced a step at 14 to lock the freq at a cooler temp.
throttle are commanded by thresholds and thresholds_clr value.
in original at first step:
"thresholds" 44 when temp raise 44 then throttle by "actions" value
"thresholds_clr" when temp below 40 then reset value (clear).
and so on 44 -> 47 -> 50 ->
and 40 <- 45 <- 48 <-
First, great finding dude!
But, you have to change the "holes" in your temps, the temperatures are a range, like 10-14 and 44-10, you have a hole in 15 to 43, you have to change to 10-43 for it to work like you want. And not leave any hole in the other temps too.
And not forget that the file need to be rw-r-r.
Hi, im new to this phone (i9505) and ive noticed how easy it is for the gpu (adreno 320) to throttle down to 200mhz from 450mhz is just 55 degree celsius.
I have an xperia z that has almost the same specs yet it throttles at like 70 degree celsius.
Is this normal or does my galaxy s4 has a problem or something? Already tried both stock 5.0.1 and lineage 14.1, same result. Also updated bootloader just in case it would yield a difference but it didnt.
