I bouht from Ebay Motrola atrix 4G an it is nice but the screen is pixelated on the home screen games and it is cresp only in text
Is there any way to fix it? Mabe if I change Rom It will be better?

Hey; at least the RGBW PenTile arrangement on the Atrix renders black-on-white and white-on-black text readably. The only readable text on (at least lower DPI) RGBG pentile OLEDs is green

Yup. Easily noticeable if you put the phone on full brightness and drag down the pulldown menu.
My S2 had it much worse tho, was hoping it wouldn't happen with this phone. I guess all phone LCDs are like that?

Yeah it sucks but I guess its better then blobs and dark black spots all over the screen like in amoled screens

That's exactly what my s2 had. And yeah it's hardly noticeable if the screen isn't full brightness. I never have it on max anyway, I find it too bright and it ruins the contrast somewhat

Yep I have them as well but never noticed them before. I really had to look hard to see them, and only on full brightness. It's a non-issue for me.
i noticed this too...didn't have it as bad as my other n4 that i had to rma. i actually notice lines and blobs. mostly noticeable on grey backgrounds like jb menus. really hated the blobs on amoled screens but seems like lcd's get it too
One the biggest reasons I am hesitating to upgrade from my S3 is just that, defects... they seem rampant with this phone. I have not a single defect on my S3, and there are no screen oddity's to speak of.

I have an iphone 4 for 2 years and don't notice these line, Yet when I first got the Nexus I could see it right away, Looking at my old iphone 4 and no line at all. Most be a lg screen built quality.
Just got my n4 yesterday and it was flawless until earlier tonight while web browsing a vertical line appeared to the far left of the screen it sticks out like a sore thumb against white backgrounds like most web pages.its very irritating and even blinks in and out.I swore I'd never buy lg after the g2x screen disaster but had to its a nexus do I so sold my gs3 yesterday and now I'm stuck with this annoying line.even if I RMA it will take forever to get a new one.
Wait, the IPS+ on the Nexus 4 has vertical banding? I thought that that problem was exclusive to the Super AMOLED HD on the Galaxy Nexus. In fact, I exchanged 3 of them to get one with banding that didn't show on all backgrounds. So as I now understand it, this was not an AMOLED HD problem?
Could it be a software thing? My old Droid X's non-HD LCD never seemed to have these issues. Neither does the SLCD3 screen of the Droid DNA. Very weird.

Lol, I don't know what you've been reading about amoled screens but they're not as rampant with problems as everyone makes them out to be. I'm I'm my third phone with an amoled panel and they've all been perfect. No yellow tint, no blobs, etc. The only issue I ever encountered was the first s2i had, had a dead pixel. Aside from that they're incredible. Prefer them to any LCD screen personally, and I'm a full times graphics artist )

I've had galaxy s 1,2,3 and gnex and none of them had lines or blobs in fact the only other phone I had screen problems with was also made by lg the g2x I exchanged twice all three had backlight bleeding
I have this too but very low, I have too be looking hard to see them. It's not very anoying but in the JB menu I can see them a little bit ... My last phone amoled was burning ...

Its an amoled and it looks like one of your screen arrays are bust. Id say the green leds. Its most likely a screen repair job.

Its not big deal, mostly everyone has this kind of problems. You will never see perfect bright whites on AMOLED screens. Yellow/purple/pink tint.

I have this exact same problem. Exact same ! This is because of the samoled displays. Alot of displays have this I guess.

You can't do anything, it's samoled technology... You will never have pure white. Change to an other S4 maybe...

I also made some photo's of my S4 screen and got about the same results as TS. However, when I made some photos of my 24 inch LCD screen, I also saw the same 'issue'. A photo camera has problems photographing a computer/ smartphone screen, so I would not worry too much about your S4 screen.
As you can see in your photo, the bottom of the photo is noticably lighter than the top of the photo.
Your told, lcd is brighter in sunlight which is the main reason your tokd Lcd is superior or at least thay say amoled is inferior. Wrong,its because if default settings by the makers. Once rooted with proper kernel(almost every device has em) you can do with amoled what you cant do with lcd. Double the color multipliers from android default of 200 to 400. I use in order of RGB, 320/320/400 to achieve perfect white and black. Also the battery myth,lcd drains less. Thats bullcrap. Amiled black pixel achives pure black because its actually OFF. that is main reason it uses less power than lcd. Instead if going on and on I will just show u proof. I will show you picture of my LGOG(sprint optimus g) and my even aging gnex side by side in sunlight with my shadow on half the screens to show its actual sunny lol. A pic says a lot more than my Bloveating. Im using my sgs4 to post this and used its awesome camera tontake the pic if pic does not show in op I will post in first post. Have a great day peeps. 2 different pic styles,img and jpeg clearly shows that even with a shattered and pentile matrix amoled screen its brighter in the sunlight. Even did my shadow in it so no one would say....sun wasnt out lmao. Sorry naysayers proof is in the pudding and the gooey pudding is right in front of your face. Proper kernel with amoled is brighter and better battery saver than lcd. Lcd is backlit anyway and most high end phones will use it in the future because it can be bended and manipulated and LCD can't because it is backlit. Only low end phones will be lcd in the future.

Tell me about AMOLED burn-in. Since you are increasing the luminosity, I would suspect that burn-in would be faster?

Similar to plasma screen televisions, if you leave an image on the screen for a long time (much more than average), you'll see remnants of it permanently. However, if it's anything like televisions, you can fix it by displaying a white image on the screen (entirely white) for a few hours. I've never had this happen to me and ive owned almost all major Samsung phones. Nexus S, Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy S II, Galaxy S III, Note 2, and now S4.

Yes burn in can occur on older like the gnex. Newer amoled is less likely but always set time out of 2 min when color multipliers are set to max. Best settings,for pure white is ,320,320,400 rgb color multipliers. Sorry should have talked about burn in,my apologies .

Just remember in all aspects except maybe battery power AMOLED is superior if your rooted and have a proper kernel (there there look for em) amoled is superior and infinitely more controable then LCD, period. Sorry naysayers look at proof in sunlight

black pixel is actually zero power draw the pixel is off
So how do you get this better color might I ask? You say proper kernel...any way to get it on an S3? Specifically an SGHT999?

Actually I use an apk that uses complete black for the whole screen and I use it quite often!!! ou know what it is, my wallpaper. Lol

I think its still pentile.
I was just on Google searching for this without answer. I didn't watch the live event but I'm going to assume it's pentile, I've seen no reference of a "plus" following the display type sadly

You can't know what samsung have done inside 5.1 AMOLED FHD screen. I thing color will more accurate and brighter.

Does it really matter? I see this PenTile thing as pure whining, you'll never notice it in a 1080p screen unless you put your device under a microscope to use it.

Seriously, S3 -> S4 was 720p to 1080p jump.
S4 -> S5 was the "screen now is brighter and can be very dim" jump.
I think you are complaining just because you were fool enough to believe the rumours.

Of course it will have technological improvements. The Note 3 was also "just" 1080p pentile and DisplayMate called it one of the best screens ever they tested, 600nits of brightness in auto mode under sunlight, improved color accuracy and more efficient operation. You bet the S5 screen is further improved, as well as SW modes to choose the most colorful or most accurate for your liking... this phone is only a disappointment if you judge by the looks, so far it's very promising all around.
If you guys missed it during the launch, s5 has brightest led screen ever made by Samsung @500 nits. Pentile vs rgb argument is a total bull**** for phones with full hd screens

It does have the brightest OLED screen, but LCD LED screens have been far brighter then that. The old LG Optimus Black from 2011 had a 700 nit screen and my Nexus 7 goes to almost 600 nits.
I saw a video of the Sony Z2 and Samsung S5 side by sidem and while the screen was definately brighter on the Samsung, it was also looked worse because the colors were too bright and washed out. I don't think OLED looks good when it's so bright.
But i can't be sure until i actually see it in person.

from what i have heard from Francisco z2 is the best screen sony has come up with so far... if im not wrong its the lcd screens that loses color at max brighntess

Its not pentile. Geex. I can't believe anybody has pointed out it is still diamond array RGBG. BIG improvement over pentile. Not going to lie though. Even though the RGBG looks fine and comparable to a standard RGB screen I wish it was at least like the galaxy note 2 or moto X screen. RBG with a bigger blue pixel. Looks awesome, can't tell it's not standard RGB stripe and it is efficient. I think the gnote2 and moto x so far have had the most efficient AMOLED screens so far.

It's PenTile.
The diamond is the arrangement, but it is still PenTile (just as LED HDTVs are still LCD with the LED simply describing the backlight). As you said, it's RGBG (another combo used by Moto was RGBW). RGB is the preferred subpixel layout. But seriously, the layout could be stripe, diamond, or it could be in the shape of a penis for all anyone cares, RGBG is PenTile.
