I just added a new 128gb SD card to my phone.
It recognised it, formatted it, and moved some stuff over after setting up.
This was all done by the system.
The problem is, now in recovery, I can't find my download folder. I don't recognise the folders in recovery when I click install.
I can't find any folders I recognise.
Can someone please help.
I think you have formatted sd card and made it internal storage... TWRP goes nuts when sd is formatted as internal and can't read it
Don't worry everything is alright and if you want to backup or flash via TWRP then you have to copy ur files in root i.e. real internal storage on phone and it will show up.
Also you can attach pen drive formatted in fat32 so you can copy or flash from it

You might want to try test twrp. It has adopted storage fixes I think hashbang said.

I rooted my Nook STR, but I accidentally deleted all the files in the Nook's own boot partition (/dev/block/mmcblk0p1). This is the partition labeled boot that is mounted when you boot with noogie.img from nookdevs.com/NookTouch_Rooting. Unfortunately, I didn't have a backup.
Now the nook doesn't boot except when booting from an sd card. I can actually boot into android by using the touchnooter sd card, and most things (launcher, apps, nook stock reader) work!
The only problem is the system doesn't recognize the external sd card as mounted, so some apps won't work. Also when I connect the nook to the pc via usb, the nook drive doesn't show up on my pc, so I can't side-load other books.
I'd still like to somehow repair my nook's boot partition. I can't enter into factory recovery mode since the device can't boot on it's own.
1. Would it work if I copy other nook's files in their boot partition? Is any of the file specific to each nook? Can anyone provide their files for me to try?
I'm on firmware 1.0.1.
2. Would applying the latest firmware update 1.1.0 rebuild the boot files? I tried to manually apply the update, but after
putting the update.zip file in the /media folder, nothing happens. Besides waiting for the OTA update, is there anyway to force the update?
---
Edit: Solved by the solution ros87 provided!

Nook's Paritions
I have accidently wrote noogie.img on the usb "Nook" parition, and now nook displays a message "your nook encountered a problem that requires a system restart". I can boot on the SD Card and still have the original backups done in ClockWordMode.
Is there a way to recover this partition back.

Fixed by restoring earlier os version, then restoring the latest os versoin.
So I know this thread is really old...
Like I said this thread is two years old so I'm not expecting any miracles. But I accidentally deleted my user partition for my nook simple touch, and then subsequently trying to restore it lost the rest of the backup. Is there any way for me to get a copy of a backup to fix this?
Please help
I found this thread and website through a Google search I was trying to edit profiles and books on my husband and my account I was on the actual nook app and was Trying to convert his profile and my profile to one profile went to delete books off of my profile and had no clue it was going to delete them all together My husband's books are everything them If someone can help please
Hello
I am trying to get root access for my MF3 S4 with the new method floating around. I've got everything except I don't have my memory card formatted to ExtFAT and because of that I don't have permission to enter the commands in terminal I need to type the ./pwn command...
I don't have a SD card adapter to plug in to my pc and I don't have any idea even though I've searched all day on the internet..
How can I format my SD card with windows while mounting via MTP? I can't use any of the USB Mass Storage apps on the market because they require root.. The very thing I'm trying to acquire.
Any help is appreciated and if I missed a tutorial somewhere around here I'm sorry, I did search.

Maybe try Clock work mod. Try Odin flashing the CWM file in the Android Dev forum. I dont think you need to mount it to windows also.
---------- Post added at 10:57 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:11 AM ----------
Sorry,
I think Android by default is in extFat format. So you can directlly go ahead and do Chainfires superuser root usin Odin,
however you can still use CWM to format /system , Reset Data(Factory Reset)

Language is not a problem... a few questions:
1. Have you used "USB device unplugging" from your PC, or have you just pulled out the plug? Sometimes Windows is buffering and writing the files (especially large ones) even if it displays message that the process is complete...
2. After purchase, have you formatted the card from the phone's level?
3. Are you sure that you have copied the file into EXTERNAL SD card, not to INTERNAL memory?
4. If you'd try to copy any small file, what's the result (before doing that, see 5 below)
5. Have you moved the file (copy on PC would be erased), or have you copied it (copy is still existing on your PC and you could use it)?
If you have moved the file - dedicated for SD cards and/or for PC data recovery software may work for you to restore it.
6. Have you reset the phone? In some cases I experienced the fact that copied file was not visible on the card until I made the phone reset

first thx for the fast answer !
1. I just pulled out the plug.
2. Yes I format It to "Exdata" there Is also "NTFS" that I can tick. But I formated with Exdata.
3. Yes I´m very sure
4. I copied also a small file (5mb) It´s the same result :/
5. I moved and copied files.
6. I came from 16gb sd card It´s perfect worked. Do I really must reset the phone ? :/ or just a option?
just a question: Why is there no option for format to "fat32"? There are only Exdata and NTFS.

Ad 1: try to repeat with: unmount the device on PC
Ad 2: OK
Ad 3: damn...
Ad 4: Lucky you, you have a copy
Ad 5: same as for 3...
Ad 6: I do not know, but I had that behaviour a few times with my phone/64G card, so I suggested it to you.
To format 64G as fat32, you'd need the special software (please read more info here. BUT, please remember that I'm not certain if your phone would recognize that partition correctly.

Put the card in the reader, connect to PC, try to copy the video and other files. Try different types and sizes.
Remove card, put it back in PC. Are all files visible? If so - place card into phone, turn it on, and verify it.

Its not something the user can do. It seems some games, particularly those with huge datafiles, will store them in their android folder on the external card if they detect that the card is there
You can also go to the settings and in Application manager pick "move to sd card". This isn't the perfect solution as somethings seem to need to stay on the internal drive but it's what you got until the other apps are fixed for KK...

Can't comment on KK since I don't have it, but on 4.3 there is an option in application manager to move at least some applications to SD card manually and I did it. If that is not an option in KK, then this is another con against KK and another reason not to upgrade.

I'm unsure to be honest. What I'm trying to do is use my ps4 controller on it which it worked for the 1st couple of weeks but now it isn't. I know that once the mount thing is fixed it should work. Every time I go to tick the option to mount as MIDI or some other option it will untick and go straight to " charging connected device" if I hook it to the PC it works though. How can I go about getting this fixed? Even in twrps a no go

I'm a noob with any of all you said. Can you please walk me through it slowly? My goal is for the USB option to tick to MIDI or whatever and not untick instantly. Also, what do I format? I done formatted the USB stick and it still persists.
Really I want to use the OTG for gameplay using a ps4 controller of sorts.

First conform me that your internal memory 64gb is working or it corrupt
This error is only occurs when internal memory not working. for this you have to format internal memory in other format type like fat32 and after that again format to its original format ext4
Try this i do that successfully

I have no idea to tell if its corrupt. How do I tell that and,how do I reformat it? Twrp won't let me do anything to internal or to otg
@drparvez it won't let me select internel memory to format. I can select any other option except internel memory or otg. What am I to do?
I've gone ahead and formatted everything I was able to to fat32 and then back to ext4. Was not able to format internal, dalvic or cache. For all purposes let's assume my internal and all else is corrupt, how can I go about making it fixed?

I want more information about your rom is it stock rooted rom with latest version. Try any custom rom. This will fix it all software problem.
Second check your usb socket in phone. Is it working well, gain charge, connecting to pc.
If all works then it definitely a software problem.
Change your Rom. My personal experience i root my stock rom after that my rom no longer stable it shows thousands of error. I fix it by flashing custom rom, latest modem and bootloader. Now my phone is work properly without any problem.
