I don't have that 'touchplus' option on my H7, is it hidden somewhere or is it only for the P8/Mate S?

you have to install the "HWTouchplus" app at first to use this feature! This app isn’t available in ps!
You will find this app using the searchword "hwtouchplus.apk".
(or at the original German forum tread - link at first post)
If you want to hide both bars, you can use the (free) app "powertoggles" from store
Edit: new link in first post because the old one was outdated
someone knows the "thanks" button?
This is great!!!! But is there a touchplus glass for Honor 7??? For now I can replace this three buttons with finger scanner

no, a glass like this isn’t supported! The one function you will get, is the possibility to individual hide the navbar!!!

Well, it kinda works but the navbar disappears and you cannot bring it up by pulling up.
@up
I can... Try switching it off and on again. Or do the following:
1) turn on the first toggle
2) turn on the second toggle there
3) turn off the first toggle
4) turn on the first toggle again
I think I did something like it and it worked

i’m using it on PLK-L01-B170 and it works! It was a little bit tricky to install, but now everything is alright.
to install:
1.) install hwtouch+.apk
2.) reboot device
3.) open setup/touchplus and toggle "touchplus" function to "on"
4.) toggle to "on" the second switch too ( replace....)
5.) toggle "touchplus" function to "off"! (first button in app)
6.) press the arrow at the navbar and hold it! Return into the app and toggle "touchplus" to "on" during holding the navbar arrow. Take two fingers if necessary!
7.) disable "touchplus" in touchplus app menu to "off"
If you are doing right, the small down arrow at the left side should be visible now.
Yea i got it to work now, needed to spam both switches a lot before it gave away.
Tyvm for this finally i don't lose 0,2" while playing games
Thankssssss!!!
It's perfect anda very easy.
I'm B170 and all ok!!
:good::good::good:
That was the thing i am looking for, awesome man
Thank you very much. Getting the navbar hiding without xposed drived me crazy. Any app used was pretty bad.
after updating to MM with a factory reset, you will lost the feature!!!

I have probably the same setup. Would be nice if we had the Touch Key Light Duration option in Settings like the S3 had (or maybe it's part of TouchWiz). That would be far easier than running another app just to turn the lights off.
I also use SoftKeyZ from the Play Store to customize the on screen buttons.
Nav bar
Can you help with how you got the nav bar? I found some links on xda, but looking for more.
Thanks

Make sure you're rooted.
go to a file manager that can edit text files ( I used root manager),
go to system/ and find build.prop. open it with an editor,
add the line
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
at the bottom of your build prop, save/exit, reboot.

Yup. This is also what I did. I just used Root Explorer. A long press on the file lets you edit in a text editor.
I think that the configurable physical button is a nice feature on Honor 7. you can launch any app you want.
At another hand there is a strange thing in Android : most of the time, you cannot close an application directly. You have to switch screen and then drop the icon's app out. Not very fast nor that practical in everyday's life ...
So my idea is to find and app killer that would instantly exit or kill the displayed app when i press on the button.
What do you think about this idea ?
Do you think that such app exists ?
Thanks.
Hi, I tried the app Hold back to kill app, but it did not work, and I have found no way to do it.
Some brands have the opportunity right in the menu settings.
Any news about that ?
Nope
What about developer options - > don't keep activities? That should kill every app you exit.
the question is how to exit quickly. Most of the time there are no exit buttons in the apps.
But.. You just have to press the home button?
Wysłane z mojego PLK-L01 przy użyciu Tapatalka
sure but then the app remains open, consumes RAM and battery.
Use Greenify and configure it so be launched if you hold the homebutton.
Instead of google you can lock your screen und kill all unused apps with one touch

Quick how to for any other S7 Active owners who like me were disappointed that the Active Key could not be used as a dedicated flashlight button.
I used the Tasker app with the free App Factory plugin to create an app that toggles the flashlight state.
1. Open Tasker and create a new task (I called mine Flashlight Toggle)
2. Click the Add action button (the + at the bottom) and the Select Action Category window will pop up
3. Type Torch into the filter at the bottom of the Select Action Category window
4. In the Action Edit screen select Toggle from the dropdown in Set
5. Press back to return to the Task Edit screen
6. In the lower right press and hold the icon button and assign the task an icon
7. Press back to return to main Tasker screen - press and hold on the Flashlight Toggle task (or whatever you called it) task to highlight it
8. Select Export from the menu button in the upper right and export as an app.
8a. You may need to install the apk you just created manually depending on permssion settings with tasker (thanks for heads up 78c10)
9. Now open Settings and Navigate to the Active Key settings
10. You should have an app named Flashlight Toggle that you can now assign to the Active Key
Congratulations, you now have a dedicated flashlight button on your S7 Active.
I don't mean to sound critical, so please forgive me, but wouldn't it have been easier to download a flashlight app, and set it to the button?
I personally can't believe you didn't get more feedback on this. What a beautiful, elegant solution.
I was shocked to find that there was no option available to bind a long press of the action key to flashlight, how stupid. You fixed it, and you fixed it in a beautiful way! Thanks.
@Chr0nos77 I had done this previously, but was plagued with either apps that would then open and not turn off the torch by holding it, or having ads emblazoned across my device.
Smooth solution. The only thing that differed from the instructions is that after I exported the app, I had to install it before I could use it. So, I guess don't miss out on that step.
For some reason, I had to factory reset my phone to get the app factory to install. Oh well.
Only problem I'm having with this is that even though I have the app in my whitelist, if the phone is in deep doze the button does not reliably launch the flashlight. Have to press unlock button first then the active key. Still good but would be good if I could somehow force it to work with aggressive doze.
Is there a way to set the flashlight to full brightness? When you turn on the flashlight in the notification panel, it's only set to 30% of it's brightness, but when you open the Activity Zone, you can turn it all the way up to 100%, is there some way to make the 100% setting standard?
Hello. Tasker cannot support Torch in Android 5.0.1. Is there some other way to do it?

I'm not sure in 5.0.1 - I used this with my S7A which was Android 6 out of the box.
gotta say.. works VERY well
Thank you for this, I've been looking for a way to be able to skip tracks with the active key and found a way to do it using the same logic you described here (made an app for next track and on for previous). If anyone is interested let me know and I'll put instructions for how I did it.

That's right. But I still have to wait to have device in my hands as it's currently hard for me to assess what it will take and whether it is worth to work on Marshmallow version considering 3T is receiving Nougat in couple of weeks, which seems to be quite different (hopefully more AOSPish) compared to OOS 3.5.
The only one I seem to find a use for is "Ringer and notification unlink" so that I can separately set notification levels. It adds the slider with the others in settings/sound.
