Bricked phone? Cant flash anything, Odin crashes, Recovery wont install stock firmwar - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Bought a 'new" Note 4 and right of the bat, I rooted the phone, flashed a custom rom, followed instructions one by one, last time I did this was 2 years ago. Everything was great, but wasn't able to call or text on a Sprint network, but had LTE/3G data.
I downloaded the stock firmware from SamMobile, cant flash it with Odin, it crashes right away with some error "BEX". So, copying the firmware to my sd card and installing it thru TWRP or PhilzTouch, instantly crashes, says install aborted and when it reboots, the Samsung powered by android is displayed and than keeps re-booting about every 10 seconds.
At this point, I at least want the phone to run stock. But is much harder than I thought it would be. IS there something im missing or not doing right?

PLEASE HELP!! Samsung Galaxy S4 i337m Fido cannot make phone calls!

Hello, I hope you can help me with my problem.
I am using a Galaxy S4 i337m Canadian Version locked down to Fido. I was trying to install Google Play Edition 4.4.4 from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2537495. I installed TWRP, did a full wipe, and then flashed the GPE zip. It rebooted, most things seemed to be working, except it showed 'No service', and could not make any calls. It would start to call, then the screen would go black and it would lock up. I went back to a stock rom, but was still getting the same problem.
Now Data is working, and wifi, but cannot make calls. I have checked the APN and all checks out. I flashed the modem.bin file proper for my device via TWRP, I tried via Odin, but it fails in Odin.
I did 2 previous ones for family members, exact same phone, same carrier, with no problems. I don't know why this one is doing this. I have backed up and restored efs with EFS Professional, did not help. Please, please any suggestions.
Thank You.
Edit: I have also left the battery and sim out of the phone for 2 hours to no avail.
Edit: I have tried 5 different 4.4.2 stock roms, all have the same outcome. Cannot make calls, trying to fails and makes the phone lag out. Wifi and data are working, IM sort of works. It says it cannot send, but then 10 mins later the recipient gets it. Still cannot flash modem.bin files in Odin, install goes to the end, then says Fail all in red. I can install successfully the .zip via TWRP though, but it changes nothing. Have tried a few different Canadian modems.
Fixed: Installed stock firmware: I337MVLUFNE1_I337MOYAFNE2_I337MVLUFNE1_HOME.tar, and everything came up as normal. Wiped, flashed Google Play Edition 4.4.4, working flawlessly. Note: Firmware I337MVLUFNC1_I337MOYAFNC1_I337MVLUFNC1_HOME.tar didn't work, even though it was older and only a month apart from the FNE1....your phone likes what it likes I guess. The reason it took so long is it took between 6 to 36 hours to download from some of the 2012-2013 links given at 5-15kbps, I had to just wait and try other things while waiting for the 1.5GB Firmwares to download so I could try them.

[Q] Getting stuck on boot after using Odin

So, I was trying to flash 4.4.2 on to my Verizon S5. I downloaded the G900VVRU1ANE9 rom from androidfilehost[.] com. Then, I installed Odin, installed Samsung USB drives, put my phone into download mode, put the downloaded firmware file into the AP part of odin, and hit start. It seemed to load fine, and it ended with a PASS!, and said "All threads completed (succeed 1/ failed 0)", and then "Removed!!"
Next, my phone rebooted, went through the samsung animation with sound, went though the verizon animation, but has been stuck the red verizon screen for over 20 minutes.
So, I then pulled the battery, reflashed with odin, which passed, and it's been at the verizon screen for 10 minutes.
This is the first time I have tried to do anything like this to my phone. I had a Galaxy Nexus previously, and had a lot of success with flashing roms, but I am having trouble with my phone.
At this point, I just want to be able to have a working phone, regardless if I lose any data. I don't care what I lose, I backed everything up. How do I get back to the OS? Did I screw something up bad?
Sorry for all the text, I appreciate any help.
EDIT: I'm coming from lollipop
Hey everyone, I fixed the problem. I did a factory reset from recovery, and I was able to get into android.

[Q] Soft Bricked handset

Hello,
I've got (had) an SM-G900W8 running the XtreStoLite v2.0 LP BETA5 ROM on the XXU1BOA3 kernel. I installed TWRP 2.7 via Odin, and left the latest modem and bootloader updates I got through KIES3.
At which point I got the chance to sell the handset on Kijiji, provided I could get the stock ROM back on.
I downloaded the latest Odin (3.09) and the correct Firmware for my handset from sam mobile, and factory reset the device. I pulled the battery, let it sit, and tried to flash once I got it back up in download mode, and it wouldn't work.
This isn't too much of a surprise to me, because since I flashed TWRP, Odin hasn't ever worked for me. Regardless of how many times I've tried to flash the modem and/or BL that XtreStoLite asked me to use in their how to thread, it wouldn't work. I was willing to ignore it b/c the ROM worked with the modem and BL it was running.
My problem is that once I tried to reboot, the system hung at the BL animation. I went back into recovery, and tried to move my backups off my external storage (I had 2 back ups that were about 2 or 3 gigs each, too much for the local storage) to the local card and restore (b/c TWRP won't restore from the external card) and the back ups failed.
Now I've got the BL screen, but it won't advance to the animation, and it won't boot to TWRP either.
I tried to restore from KEIS, but it says my device isn't supported by KIES 3 (it is). I could really use a hand here. Every time I try something this gets worse. I'm no pro, but I've had no problem figuring this out on my old HTC handsets.

Unable to flash stock rom note 4 rogers with odin, please help!!!!

HI all,
So I today I messed up and I need your help :crying:. Basically here's whats going on: I decided to root my phone since I found that battery was complete garbage, so I decided to root the phone with TWRP and Odin and after flash a new kernel for my phone as well as SU. Everything went fine. However, when i tried to reboot my phone to get a custom rom i wanted, it keps telling "kernel is not seandroid enforcing" and would be stuck in a boot loop (which apparently is normal and would just need to flash a rom for it to work). Finally I just decided to boot factory, so I can get to my files and put that damn custom rom. Long story short, I was able to put it, wiped system in TWRP and flashed this new rom only to get another error "THis package is for device trltetmo, this device is trltexx". Now I couldnt even factory reset anymore. At this point I decided to flash my back up that I did before and yet ANOTHER problem "cannot restore system mounted read only". After couple of hours of research, I needed to change the name of the file to system.image.mbn i think, I changed a file called system.ext --> system.image.ext. Needless to say that it didnt work. Final thing I decided to do is simply to flash a stock rom with odin and reverse the root, so I downloaded a stock rom for note 4, started the whole process with odin and now it is stuck at system.img.ext4....and i have no clue what to do, I dont know even know what I did before is the problem or it is something else, all i know is that odin is stuck at that message. Should I just let it go, should I stop it? Help! please
Wow, true hardship you get it back running?
Try using Kies and doing firmware upgrade mode to see if it can download and load the stock firmware for that device.

Unable to flash stock firmware

Hello, my SM-G935A is rooted, and I have 2 issues with it. Firstly, I'm unable to receive texts or phone calls (I can send them), and I've tried a factory reset and I even got a new SIM, but nothing worked. I think if I flash stock firmware, it might fix the issue. Second problem, when I go into download mode and select my AP in Odin and press start, my phone gets an error and Odin freezes at Initialization.
Any help would be appreciated. I would prefer to fix the texting issue, as I don't want to return the phone to ATT. In either case, the Odin issue needs to be fixed
I'm having a similar issue. This afternoon, 2 apps threw errors and closed. I rebooted, which apparently was the wrong thing to do. The reboot stalled on the AT&T logo and stayed that way for 5 min - the unit became very hot & the power button did not respond, even while holding it down. I got into recovery, cleared the cache and factory reset, then rebooted. The unit came back up and started reinstalling everything. I took it back down into the download status and attempted to reload 935x via Odin, only to stall at "initialzation" [sic] as you did. I got out of that after waiting for some sort of response. SuperSU was still in my apps as was Root Checker. Root Checker indicates the system is rooted. SuperSU indicates it needs the binary updated. BusyBox and TiBu indicate they cannot find root. I deleted all the root apps and tried reinstalling root via adb which completed successfully, but the same outcome with all the root apps. So I'm not sure if I'm still really rooted as Root Checker claims, or not.
EDIT: I just saw that I have 2 "Knox Settings" apps. Clicking on either returns, "Unfortunately, Container Agent2 has stopped."
use the odin from the stock firmware thread to flash it again. if it fails you can flash the u firmware and then the stock again. then you have to use a different odin if you want to flash the root api file the one you flash the firmware with wont work. also there is help in one of the threads about fixing the volte problem so you dont have to turn it off to get calls. i didnt have to do it as using the odin i mentioned fixed it for me when i came from the u firmware.

I was having the exact same problem you had with Odin. It seemed I was able to flash stock firmware using this version of Odin: http://www.mediafire.com/download/2t2sjqxtogbkafk/odin_3.12.3.rar

did you have any problems with the u version of the s7 edge firmware, like the fingerprint scanner not responding? i am on that version and cant get any odin version or any version of s7 edge g935a firmware to flash, tried unrooting and was forced to use the U version of the s7 edge firmware, everything works except the fingerprint scanner, cant get back to full stock firmware, need help!
im having the exact same problem, when i put my phone into download mode and flash the stock at&t firmware, Odin get stuck in "initialization" and my phone screen displays and error message.
Same stuff was happening to me, I went back to stock and took the update. When your phone stops working as an actual phone, it's time to roll it back.
I played with it for a week and my phone was so freaking hot (with hot weather) equals a wait and see if this gets more stable in the near future. I did use the Odin 3.12.3 mentioned by King James III. Honestly, I did so many things to get it back to stock I forget what actually worked (it was the wee hours of the morning and I was spent). Don't give up guys, it will and can work.
edit: It may be as simple as not right clicking Odin and running it as Administrator.

I used Odin_v3.12.3_Patched_SHA256 to flash the 935U Firmware then used Odin3_v3.11.2 to flash the June Firmware release.
