I wonder why they didn't etch this information into the device. I can see this sticker "wearing" and becoming dirty. Is it ok to remove it? Has anyone else taken theirs off?

Taken this off every 6p I got (3 rmas and now on my 4th)
The one on the wrapping film? Why not? We have that information on the SIM tray already.

Removed mine yesterday, caused to crash my phone and now it's not booting anymore .
Just take off the sticker off the back of your Nexus 6p and put it in your box.

I just got my Nexus 7 and there was another layer of black tape that keeps that box closed. I peeled the top layer back to find another black piece of tape that had been cut.
Does this mean somebody already had this Nexus 7, sent it back, and then Google sent me this one? Or is this the norm? Everything seems to be in working order on the Nexus 7.
edit: thanks

See http://www.google.com/nexus/#/7 this?
Notice how the sticker on the bottom back is on? Was that supposed to be on? Because I removed it, and it came off really easily.
Nothing major, just curious.

Mine is still there, just too lazy to remove
No one can force you to have it there for eternity.
I guess it's important to have the CE label etc on the device when shipping to inform the user...

I took mine off and put it on the box which sits with all my other gadget boxes.

I still have mine on both N7's.

Its probably there as a requirement for shipping. On your phone you will see those standards, most likely under the battery cover, but you can't access that on the nexus 7 so instead of ruining the aesthetic having them permanently printed, its nicer to just have a sticker.
Mine is gone gone gone too..
Just like the tags on the back of my tops.. and Top of my skirts that tend to stick out..
As well as the tags on my mattress we bought not so long ago.. Its a ffc requirement by manufacture to put them there. If it were to be non removable it would have been like the STUPID ASUS LOGO ..
NOW MY Question is can someone get that off and PUT A Real pc manufacturer name there . Asus used to be the best out there . I really thought google would have enough control over the nexus to make it better then standard asus devices. Now they are no doubt a last ranking provider .. what a shame...
Mine either never had one or came off accidentally when I was unwrapping it.

I took mine a way when I unboxed it, it is not important
Really?

Dont take it off, its supposed to leave residue, otherwise you cant claim warranty :-o
Take it off! Then go rip the tags off your mattresses.....live a little!

I removed it and placed it on the box just in case it will be needed in the future.
I sent in my White Google I/O Nexus 7 to Asus for service for the screen lifting issue. It took them about a month to attempt to repair, and in the end they simply shipped me back a new Black Nexus 7. I was wondering if anyone else came across this problem. Has anyone been able to get back a fixed White Nexus 7?
The white backed Nexus 7's were a limited promo version. The white cover itself had a set of older antenna types in them. The black or dark backed cover have newer version antenna' s.
They actually upgraded you by giving you the dark cover.

Hmmm. Older antennas or stylish white color. Hard to choose

Hi,
I have the screen lift issue and when opening my Nexus up I see I have two screws missing. Searching around I've read they are 3.2 mm Phillips screws with M1.4 thread. I know nothing about screws and have tried searching google with no luck. Does anyone know where I can buy these so I can try and replace my missing ones? The guy at HMV said their stock is all the same shipment so if I get a replacement it's most likely to have the same issue.
Any hardware shop. B&Q for example.

Asus apparently decided your screen attachment is better without those two screws, and you are going to replace them. Why?

Put them in and watch that screen rise even more

really? So the only fix is the glue? I thought as some seem to be fixing their screen lift by tightening the screws it would work. Back to the drawing board I guess.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Give it a shot if you want, sod putting glue anyway near my screen, if its that bad take it back

The screen lift isn't too bad more worried about it getting worse in the future. I'm thinking about returning it but my Nexus is perfect bar this lift and with all the issues being reported I'm worried I'll get one with even more issues.

I have a little and a mean a little hardly even noticeable screen lift on the left hand side if u hold in portrait and type with ya thumbs its wear my hand would go, I'm not returning again I'm on my 3rd

Has anyone else had this happen? I'm on the phone with Google now attempting to explain this issue.
I received the white cardboard box that had an intact seal around it. I opened the box, found a charger, 2 cables and instruction booklet.
Has anyone experienced this?
Wow that's weird. Where did you order from?

They can solve this by checking the weight of the package as of shipping.

They could - but that depends if they actually weighed the box, and didn't use that pre-informed label Google sends saying it weighs 2 pounds.
I personally haven't seen that happen.
I'd challenge them additionally to check your phone activations on your account and a 6P not being one of them.
Wow, speaking of Houdini! Bummer
Won't Google just wipe the phone using the serial or imei number ,I've heard of this with the iPhone and ipad, they just shut it down so its only any good as a paper weight

If we were Google, then yes I would very much think this, but he has zero to gain by posting on this forum asking us if it ever happened to us as well.
