[Q] Virgin Mobile UK Nexus 4

Forgive me for asking this.............
I am getting a Nexus 4 on Thursday from my work, but am running s sim free Motorola Defy at the moment.
I would like to put my 3 sim into the Nexus 4 and the Virgin sim into the Defy.
Basically is the Nexus 4 sim free? (my 3 sim is already a micro-sim)
Thanks for not flaming for asking a question.
Yes. Pop the sim in and you're good to go!
Cheers mate. Happy days!!!

Nexus 4 does not read SIM

So I just got a nexus 4 from a cousin in the US that brought it to Mexico for me, I am trying to use my microSIM from my note2 but it will not read it, my carrier here is Telcel and if I got to movile networks and search for network operators it does find mine (Telcel) but it will not read the SIM, any ideas what it could be?

I think its not fitting properly in the sim tray.
remove it and fit it properly in the tray or else I doubt you need to order another micro sim from Telcel.

yeah, i came here and asked first before doing some research and it seems that might be it :/ its a cuted sim and it seems the nexus 4 has some issues with does if they are not done properly.
I will go to telcel tomorrow, thanks.
I bought a microsim from telcel and it did not work, the phone does not recognize it, the phones from Google come sim unlocked right?

I just had to turn off then on again the phone for it to read the SIM, I did had to buy the new one but I also had to restart it xD, now everything is working fine.
Amigo! Do a duplicate in a Telcel store! Cut the sim sometimes it doesn't work!

SIM Unlock Help

just a simple question. how can i tell if my GS4 is SIM Unlocked? i dont have another SIM card from another carrier, and just wondering if there is a way to check it it is unlocked or not. thanks.
Take it to another gsm carrier's store. I took some phones to t-mobile and the guy gave me a blank sim that only made 911 calls. He said old people get those sims for free, so I held onto the sim to test unlocked devices.

Can I start/set up Nexus 7 LTE without a sim card?

Hi,
I am in India and one of my friend is bringing me Nexus 7 LTE unlocked from USA.
He doesn't have a micro sim and neither do I.
Can we test/setup Nexus 7 without a SIM card?
Thanks.
Yes you can without problem, you skip the step about sim card
Currently I don't have a SIM card on my N7 LTE, and I regularly change roms
In the US (unsure about t-mobile outside US) you can get a t-mobile micro sim card, sometimes free or $0.99 but currently $10, and activate it for 200MB/month free data. Wonderful starter program and great for developers too.

Sprint doesn't use a sim card for phone service. It does use one for data. It's a CDMA network that uses programming settings in the phone to give you phone service. The Nexus 6P is supposed to be compatible with Sprint. Make sure there is no old sim card still in the phone from the previous owner. You might need to factory reset the phone if it was previously used on a GSM network. Not sure about that.
