Re-activating Fingerprintsensor with certificates - Zuk Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
after installing certs (selfsigned) on my Z1 (stock CM 12.1 and rooted), it wants me to install a PIN or a pattern to come over the lockscreen. Fingerprint has been disabled by administrator... and is greyed out.
Any idea how to re-enable fingerprint-sensor again AND keep the certs? I also need to install a VPN to my homebox, so the problem persists in the future.
The phone is rooted.
TIA

[Q] Can't enable encryption on Nexus 4

I am running cyanogenmod 10.2 stable on my Nexus 4 and I am trying to enable disk encryption in order to be able to use the stock Email app to access my work email account, which is an ActiveSync Exchange account that enforces disk encryption. I have set up a numerical PIN and then when I try to enable encryption, it flashes a picture of a wireframe android for a second and then reboots without encrypting my phone. any way to fix this? I'd really rather not spend $20 on Touchdown to use a function that my phone supports for free
Have you tried it on a stock rom? Could be a CM issue. What recovery are you using? AFAIK CWM does not support encryption so try with TWRP too.
There's also a module for xposed framework that bypasses exchange security policies.

The power and flexibility of Android never ceases to amaze me! Until now, I've only ever used xposed on devices that didn't have custom firmware available like my kids' el-cheapo tablets. I never would have thought to check if you could actually do anything USEFUL with xposed. Thank you so much!!! FINALLY!!! I can get my corporate email in the same place as my 3 other email accounts, and I don't have to use that God awful piece of crapware called Touchdown! Just pure, unadulterated, email connectivity bliss.

Fingerprint misbehaviour

Hi,
I've recently updated my N910F to Marshmallow (official). It's not the latest version but I wasn't able to download that one yet.
I made a fresh install with it (factory reset via TWRP, flashed it through ODIN, rooted via CF Autoroot, installed TWRP 3.0.2-0 and XPosed v84, restored Apps trough Titanium) and even reflashed it with a wipe of system, cache and dalvik cache before because of problems with auto rotate.
But the Fingerprint API or something like that seems to be not working how it should. I can't set screen lock to Fingerprint (I get asked "Enter a backup password.", wenn I enter one, it just says "Sorry, try again" without saying why it failed), even after going to security settings and deleting the credeintially, which fixed such problems on 5.1.1 it doesn't work.
I also had read, that you could use your Fingerprint for authentication in PlayStore, but at least in version 6.7.12.E I can't see that option.
PlayStore should use the API of Nexus Imprint for that and I thought that this is required by any OEM that want's to get a license for M, so I don't really see why it doesn't show up.
The sensor itself seems to be working, I was able to register my fingers and with FingerLock, an app locker designed for Samsungs proprietary Fingerprint API form earlier versions, I also have no problems.
I think, Samsungs own implementation is working (accept for Lock screen but they´could have changed it here for the official one), only apps for Googles standardized one are failing. But I can't really prove it. An app, that should be using the official API in M is failing, but the developer says it's a problem only with the Note 4 and he hopes he can publish a fix later this month.
The app locker MaxLock, which I thought would use fingerprint authentication with the official API doesn't show up an option for that but maybe through problems with the implementation.
Is there any way to test what's going wrong?
PS: sorry for the long text
I now have this..... Any solution?
Get a (non-TW based) custom ROM. It's the only thing that's works since Samsung most have screwed up the whole API. Their own is only useable partially and the standard one by Marshmallow is completely messed up and not worrying at all.
I was so pissed off of Samsung's incompetence that I switched to emotion ROM. It's a bit tricky to set up the fingerprint reader, but once it's done, everything using the official API is writing flawlessly. Never gonna switch back.

Fingerprint enrollment issue!!

I have a problem, regarding fingerprint enrollment. Whenever I try to enroll fingerprints after 2 enrollments, automatically 3 ghost fingerprint comes and when i try to delete them, my fingerprints gets deleted instead of them! Can someone help me on this?
What ROM are you on, any modifications (e.g. custom kernel) and what device? Also, have you/did you update to Nougat before the enrolment issues started?

Settings crash trying to set up fingerprint

I just got my G6 H872 (new in box). All I have done is unlocked the bootloader, rooted, and installed TWRP & Magisk. Only module installed is Viper4Android. I have not removed any apps via Titanium, nor any other system files or mods. Set up my pin and am trying to set up fingerprint. Unfortunately, every time I enter the pin to set up FP, the System app crashes.
Any thoughts? (Logs in post #3)
EDIT: Facial unlock was working...I tried to re-do it while wearing glasses but the pin wouldn't let me back in. I then removed the pin for unlock and tried again. Facial ID won't let me in no matter what - the pin just doesn't work to continue. AND fingerprint continues to crash the settings app.
EDIT 2: ARRGG! Now I lost Smart Lock/Trusted places! WTF! Had it working earlier now I can't even find/access the Smart Lock settings.
ESIT 3: Got Smart Lock/Trusted Places back. Entering pin for fingerprint still crashes Settings, and the pin does nothing to get back into face unlock.
Really frustrated!
Tired of editing my post LOL!
I can access Face ID now. I had ticked Don't Keep Activities in Developer Settings. Unticked it and it started working. Fingerprint is still a no-go though.
Hoping for some guidance/advice.
Thanks
I have grabbed logs. One from alogcat and the other via ADB. I have no idea what I'm looking for but it would seem to me that the log from ADB is more complete. If there is anyone that can help decipher this, it is greatly appreciated.
FYI, XDA says the log from ADB is too large so I have linked it here.
Thanks!
Fixed my issue by updating to 20g with this. Thanks!

Fingerprint working for unlocking, but not apps

I was wondering if anybody else is having this problem. Fingerprint unlocks the device. Perfectly every time. But it is not working apps. For example Verizon up, banking apps, credit card apps, anything that uses fingerprint to sign in. Whenever you try to activate it in the app is normally it sends an error message.
Thanks in advance!
I should add. I'm on a vs995. Running Alpha Oreo 1.3.1. Mk2000 ver. 2.2 (clean installation)
CtsProfiles may be failed. Try to bypass it.
Thanks, but CtsProfiles = True
Any other ideas?... I am still on Magisk 20.1
Thanks!
