Oh if we did get Android 6, you can kiss the IR blaster goodbye, unless some miracle happens..
Lollipop is plenty fast.. Besides there is not much of a difference..

There is nothing like clean rom available. So which part on it is more important? The roms available are pretty dang good.
I created one but it is on JB not KK.

I just loved CleanRom because it had great battery life and I never had any issues with it. The only other Rom that I have tried was BajaRom, but I just didn't really care for it.CleanRom didn't add all of those little custom tweaks to it automatically either. If I want to add some tweaks to it I would just do so through some Xposed modules. Thanks

Most daily and stable rom?

Hello guys,
i'm looking for the most stable and fastest rom with the best battery life.
I would like to hear your opinions.
im currently on cloduyg2 3.3 and its batter life is poor on my d802 and it stuck.
in addition, if you suggest using a rom can you plz shortly explain what should i do to install it from cloduyg2 3.3?
thank you very much.
sorry if there was a similiar post, i couldn't find it.
Battery life depends mostly on the kernel used
Give dorimanx kernel a try
Sent from my LG-D801 using XDA Free mobile app
i tried him, it didnt help and besides im sick of the lg ui
you could try the latest official cm12.1 nightlys

Has anyone experience with that ROM?

A couple of hours ago I accidental came across a rare (Marshmallow-)ROM for this device(if it's not a typo).
aicp_harpia_mm-11.0 UNOFFICIAL-20170221.zip
from the developer jhenrique09.
Has anyone tried the Rom?
If so, how stable is it?
Best regards
I was actually gonna flash it tonight. I ran the Nougat version of AICP by the same Porter and it was pretty smooth, a few hiccups though
Sweet.
Should you've been successful with the installation, would a feedback highly appreciated.

That's quite disappointing.
I was looking forward to have another Marshmallow based Custom rom.
Besides Cyanogenmod 13 from squid and the de-odexed stock rom's aren't there anymore.

T-810, I'm curious as to why there are no custom Oreo roms for it

Title says it all.

If there are any custom Oreo ROMs for our T-810, they are a very well kept secret.
the lead developer @T_I had some life stuff come up, and hasn't had a chance to look at bringing up the 810 to Oreo yet. Wish I knew enough to figure out how to help out with it.

anks, thank you for the information.
It just baffled me as to why there were no O roms at all.
I have 8.1 running on a Nexus 7 2013 and a Nexus 6 and those devices are ancient.

Indeed, I'm battling with a concussion, very limiting my screen time. Also, to be honest, @RaymanFX is the lead developer for the 2015 Tab S2 models, I just managed to adapt his code for the T810 (not to difficult) and the T710/5 (bigger challenge, still needs a lot of work).
My prio at this point is to get the T710/5 functioning before putting time in, unless RaymanFX wants to start work on Oreo for the T815, then I can test the other devices. (alas, no real work for a while, just barely managing to get 4h of work in a day)

@bonuzzz it'd be great to see the sources. The 810 is similar enough to the 710 that porting should be fairly straightforward

hi, not to open a new thread:
but official there is also Nougat 7.1 for the S2 2015 version.
Can i flash this and root it per superSu?
Is there any custom kernal avialble?
or better an "original" Rom just moded?
thanks for answers in advance
adddy2
The answer is quite easy.
CustomROMs would be easier to create if there'd be an official Oreo ROM from Samsung. The SM-T810 is still on Nougat (I got a "new" update a couple of days ago, which only "updated" the security patch level...).
Since Samsung released the S3 Tablet, there won't be any effort spend into developing an official Oreo Rom in this "older" Tablet, imo. The SM-T810 has an Exynos 5433 CPU (and not a Qualcomm), which means we're facing closed-source and therefore smooth and fully working CustomROMs won't be very likely.
The question is: Why do you want a custom ROM at all?
The stock Nougat ROM can be debloated (e. g. via Neked Maker), rooted, Xposed can be installed.
All is working fine, and you can customize it very much.
What feature are you looking for in a custom ROM which isn't possible with stock ROM??

There's no stock Oreo rom. For me, it's not that I want a custom rom, it's more that I want an Oreo rom.
Actually possessor of a T715 Tab S2. I saw someone managed to build an Oreo rom for T710, if the rom will come also for the sim variant it will be really great! We have to forget about samsung spending time for "old" devices....Instead thanks all the developers teying to get the best out of this tab and updating it.
P.s give me a working fingerprint and i'll give you mi life lol

I'll build daily for all 4 Oreo variants when the code is mature enough to boot :good:

Yeah i know but i wanted to create a thread in xda because i saw that nobody talk about this phone (only for the TWRP). You should know that the stock ROM of umidigi s2 lite is very very very buggy... i hope someone will port a ROM for it to fix those bugs such as random reboots without reason and many other bugs :crying:

After trying the phone for a few weeks, I got rid of it.....
When i try to install it say this rom is for s2lite s2 lite not for s2_lite how resolve that?
Umidigi s2 lite
I have one of these phones and it does have problems which Umidigi do not seem bothered to fix. I have found an app called wavelock revamp on play store which has cured a lot of it's problems like the random restarts and failure to come out of sleep without switching off and on again. Install the app and tick the processor section active. Only problem now is the battery sometimes just drains quickly and it will not fully recharge only going up to 94% last time I charged it even left on for hours.
