Hello, i have a samsung galaxy A5 that turns on goes to logo then restarts and goes to logo again continuously, also i cant get into recovery mode to format the phone. But i can go to download mode, can someone tell me how to fix this phone?
Thanks...
Can someone give me a recovery file for Galaxy a5 (model A500H) that I can flash with Odin to go into recovery mode?
Thanksgiving
Download and flash stock firmware from sammobile.com
I flashed with stock firmware version 5.1..1 from sammobile still same problem, I want to hard reset but can't go into recovery mode, any ideas?
Can anyone tell me how to enable the device to boot into recovery mode so I can factory set the phone?

The most recent version for the A500H is 5.0.2. Are you sute you flashed the correct firmware?
You can try to flash TWRP (the odin version) via odin.

Sorry my mistake I flashed with 5.0.2, flashed with recovery file via Odin still cannot boot into recovery mode, maybe I'm doing something wrong. I have the file "TWRP_2.8.7.0_LL_ODIN.tar.md5.gz". Should i flash this with odin or should i extract this file and flash with "recovery.tar.md5"?
Thanks

Do you have the correct samsung drivers on your pc? Does odin say added when you plug in your phone?
Did you extract the zip file you downloaded from sammobile? You should flash the tar. Md5 file.

Odin says added when i connect the phone and i extracted the file i downloaded from sammobile....i flashed the recovery you gave me but still cannot boot into recovery mode, when i try i get red message ontop of the screen "recovery is not seandroid enforcing" and "Set warranty bit: recovery.. Any ideas?
I'm using ODIN v3.10.7 on Windows 10, could that be the problem?
Thats very odd. Usually if you flash new firmware everything would work fine.

Downloading over wifi shouldnt be a problem. You can alway double check the md5 to see if it matches.

Please help! I'am using model SM-N900. Today, I wanted to downgrade from my 5.0 custom ROM to stock 4.4.2. I downloaded the 4.4.2 firmware and opened ODIN. I selected AP mode and selected the .tar.md5 file I extracted and it loaded it up. I booted the phone into download mode. I selected auto reboot and F. Reset time. I clicked start and it started. It went along well until it got to system.img in which it stopped and failed. Now I tried a lollipop image, and it came up with the same result. I tried flashing the TWRP image and it flashed successfully. I was able to boot into TWRP and use it. I now tried flashing a custom rom. I tried a AOSP lollipop rom, 5.0 TW rom, and a 4.4.2 TW rom and they all booted to a black screen. I'am now desperate to fix my seemingly bricked device so somebody out there, please help! Thanks in advance.
I also tried flashing a bootloader I found somewhere in XDA for the N900 and I'm still able to flash TWRP and use it and access download mode but it hasn't changed my problem.

What exactly does a pit file do though? When I selected it it selected the re-partition option which everybody says not to use but it was the only way my device is successfully up and running again. Why do you think flashing the .pit file along with my firmware file worked?

basically a pit file increases partition size and as yours had corrupt data the system couldn't read or rite to it so pit file allowed you to install your rom I can't believe you got away with it normally bootloader doesn't forgive but glad you sorted things

Now restart TWRP

Download orginal firmware fro sammobile, unpack and flash with Odin 3.12.3.
Download the firmware from your area, the one that comes with your phone.
Use the right regional code and everything when you download firmware.
Also, have you guys flashed the right bootloader and modem beforehand?

When downloading original firmware there should be 4 files when unzip.
1 for each of the options in Odin, without the last one named home.
Some of the custom roms comes with bootloader and modem, but NOT ALL.
Most times you have to flash the right bootloader and modem in Odin beforehand to get the phone to boot.
Im unsure of what has happened because I have never run into issues myself.
If you can not get the phone to boot with firmware from Sammobile and Odin flash I am out of options.
If I do experience a problem like this I would:
-install bootloader and modem according to the custom rom used. Try and flash these with odin more than ones, if not working.
-if no recovery, try flash recovery again
-try flash another custom rom then another custom rom
-return to stock firmware downloaded trough Sammobile
If none of these options work im out of things to do, sorry
The times I have experienced phone stuck on Samsung logo, it has been because of bootloader and/or modem.
Flashing the right ones have always fixed the problem.
That said, I have never experienced problems with returning to stock firmware trough Odin, maybe one time.
And this time my firmware download was corrupted.

This is wrong, you should use the file named only CSC.
Home_CSC, is to keep your setup on phone as is.
I also remember that you have to remove the meta data directory, and then repack firmware or the install will stop.
And this is also NOT a good option if you use another firmware than the original on phone.
Installing firmware with Odin, always use BL, AP, CP and CSC.
Try this and forget about the Home_CSC.
I don't have anymore info, sorry
Thank you very much. I will try it. I will let you know.

What were you flashing with Odin when your fuse blew? I need much greater detail. We're you stock flashing custom? Other way around? Flashing kernel? Bootloader? Going from lollipop to marshmallow or nougat? I can't really try to piece it together unless I'm able to visualize what's going on.
---------- Post added at 06:59 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:48 AM ----------
Also in my experience if odin flashes a rom to your device and your device freezes at boot you flashed the wrong stock ROM. Get it from sammobile. You can't just flash any rom for your device. It needs to match. Carrier and firmware. If you were say on 6.0 you can't just go flash 4.4 or 5.0. it might not boot because 6.0 updated the bootloader. Mm and nougat use the same bootloader. You can however upgrade to 6.0 from an earlier version. I've got a feeling you were never installing the rom your phone was looking for to begin with. You probably wouldn't have been able to boot even if the fuse didn't blow. I say this because if it stopped mid way during a flash it would simply corrupt the install and another flash would fix the issue. If I wipe the rom from my s5 or it fails to boot my primary rom it boots right into recovery.

We'll, try to get in the Download Mode using the POWER+HOME+DOWN VOL. and not by the stuck Download Mode, i know you can, then try to flash a rom, preferably exact same or newer Android version.

I need help with my Galaxy S5 LTE-A (SM-G906L) I can access recovery and download mode. But cannot pass Samsung logo. (I can't reach Samsung logo) it just restarts and restarts non-stop (it's clearly bootloop. I know) I had flashed 2 official firmware (stock rom) and 2 Custom roms. But still nothing. The only recovery that I can access is Philz CWM Touch Recovery. I have tried lentislte TWRP (I forgot the version but definitely for lentislte) Any one. I need help, please.

I can't enter stock recovery. Any custom or stock recovery doesn't work. Only PhilZ CWM touch recovery worked.

You may need to also flash the pit file and repartition your device
For example this site has firmware with pit files for each firmware for your device
https://firmware.gem-flash.com/index.php?a=browse&b=category&id=14320

Put the pit file in the section marked pit file in odin
Tick repartition
Put firmware in AP section of odin
Flash any firmware you want for your device that includes the pit file
I gave you a suggestion of firmware in the previous post
G906LKLU1CPL2_LUC1CPL2_V6.0.1_Repair_Firmware_4Files - would be the latest on that site
