Wifi problems - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello there!
I have my Galaxy Note 3 next to me, and it has a lot of wifi problems.
At home, it disconnects at random times, internet won't work even though it's connected and youtube constantly not loading.
It gets worse when I visit someone.
At my aunt's house, it says password is incorrect the whole time, not connecting for HOURS at a time, and when connected, no internet access, Vessel hardly loading any video, and all the things discussed in the "at home" section.
When traveling, in my country I have a paid public wifi service that is virtually anywhere, but it has all the problems under the "at home" section and it just won't connect sometimes.
Please DON'T say "restart your note 3" or "restart the router" since that all doesn't help. Turning my bluetooth off doesn't have any effect and I don't even want to turn it off since I want my smartwatch to be connected. Mobile data has ALWAYS been off, so no problems there.
Information:
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 N9005 International Snapdragon
Running Android Lollipop 5.1.1, Phronesis rom 4.1, kernel is 3.4.0-DarkLord-Kernel-511-hlte-V1.5.
This has also happened when I was on 4.3 TW Stock, 4.4 TW Stock, 5.0 TW Stock, Darklord N5, Phronesis Rom v3, and I think I am switching to CM pretty soon.
Thanks for all the help ^.^

Other devices can't find my hotspot

So I was trying to tether from my N910C to my old N7000 to try lollipop on it but I couldn't find it. So I narrow it down to having Bluetooth on, when it is off I can find the N910C on my n7000 but no way to see it when Bluetooth is on. No device was/is connected to the Bluetooth at those tries
No one has 2 minutes time to test it?
Today I tried again to tether to a Samsung tab the Internet from my N910C. I tried everything but couldn't find it on the tab at all, as it was not existing. After that I tried if a 5s could find it but that lead to nothing.
Now I think the phone is a refurbished one since it has 2 lines from a black marker on the back where the battery has it's place, top left side, as a X or something like that.
So please ppl check if tether works.
Phone is from Romania a SM-N910C and it is used on Germany, since I wanted a exynos version of note 4.
Thanks for the help

[Q] Samsung G900F WiFi Problem all stock

I recently bought Samsung S5 G900F from a friend which updated it to latest lolipop 5.0 software, and after that wifi stoped working.
It was never rooted or etc. When i try to turn on wi fi i press button for turning on freezes and it doesn't show any wifi network. By my friends words it started after updating to lolipop. First i downloaded and flashed two 4.4.2 from sammobile and i there's no difference at all.... Second thing i found thread with latest modem on xda and nothing at all.
The only thing that helps for short while is from unkown reasons when i switch SIM cards it starts working but speeds are 200,300kb/s and signal is very low. And from some secret code went to wifi settings and turned off battery saving mode, it helped to now more often it works but for short while and slow speeds.
I don't have any ideas, what to do with it all sings show that it is software issue. Thanks in advance on replies
This erro my phone not my eny solution.?

[Q] Wi-fi issues

About a month ago I noticed that my wi-fi is working weird. It is connected, but I can't use the Internet. Looking at the wi-fi icon I can see that it is sending data to my router, but it is not recieving anything back. I basically have the arrow going up, indicating upload, but no arrow down, indicating download. After a few minutes (or after restarting wi-fi) it goes to normal for some time and then it stops working again. I'm currently on optimised CM12.1, but it doesn't matter which ROM I use. My router works fine. I checked with another phone while my s4's wi-fi wasn't working. I was considering updating baseband and modem, but I wasn't sure which one to use. I'm in Poland and my carrier is Mobile Viking, but they use Play infrastructure (or T-Mobile, if play is unavailable). It isn't anything that would make me change my phone, but it is a bit annoing.
*bump*

It's like you said. The only thing you can try is changing your modem.
Do you have a stable connection on other wifi networks?
I have no way of checking other networks (living in a small town with no public wi-fi). Which modem should I use? I'm in Poland nad I bought my S4 in a store (not from any carrier)

There is no best modem. You have to try it for yourself. I would suggest taking lollipop modems, but you have to be on a lollipop bootloader for that.
If I am on lollipop rom, does that mean that I have lollipop bootlader? When I bought my phone it was on android 4.4.2
Since lollipop my wifi has been terrible on my i9505 stock rooted. My iOS and windows devices are rock solid but sgs4 has crap connection strength. On previous devices the radio with the upgrade was normally to blame but I'd welcome any suggestions. Does cm12 use the same radio as stock?

Galaxy S4 Wifi and Bluetooth

My brother gave me his old Galaxy S4 E330K. Wifi Bluetooth doesnt work. What I found out is he flashed it with a 5.0.1 Black edition firmware of e330k. I tried flashing it with 4.4.2. Wifi and bluetooth still doesnt work. And whats confusing is the wallpapers are for s4 black edition but the rom i flashed was not a black edition one. Is this wifi and bt already a hardware issue?
Sometimes when a ROM is installed you need to run the "wiping" processes 3 times before you get install a different ROM.
Or flash the rom twice to make sure that partitions have been overwritten.
Or, your wifi chipset might have been burnt. This is what happened to me about 3-4 weeks ago. One day I tried to send some files via BT. BT turned on, but could see no devices at all. A couple of minutes later, the wifi went the same way. Turned on but I couldn't see any available networks. Another couple of minutes later, neither wifi nor BT didn't turn on anymore.
Opened the device and saw the chipset burnt
I read similar stories the same time I experienced these problems; I think for a lot of people S4 is starting to break.
Try to find out if it's a hardware problem or a flash problem.
Cheers!

Samsung Galaxy J5 crashes when connecting to certain Wifi...

Hello all,
I'm experiencing a strange phenomenon with my Samsung Galaxy J5 (model number SM-J500FN, running Android 6.0.1) and was hoping someone might be able to help!
It works fine most of the time, but stutters and crashes whenever it's connected to one certain free Wifi network. This "guest" network is provided by our local council and is accessible in libraries/leisure centres/schools etc. Other friends with Android phones can use this free network with absolutely no issues, but my J5 slows to a crawl soon after connecting, and is soon unusable. It doesn't even reboot easily, and when it does (eventually), and I reconnect to the network, the exact same thing happens again. The only error message I've seen pop up during the stuttering procedure is "Touchwiz home has stopped working".
I stress again that my phone experiences no issues whatsoever when connecting to *any other network* apart from this one, free Wifi.
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? Or, more importantly, how I can address this issue? (This free, guest network is prevalent all over the area I live in. Sometimes my phone connects to it in my pocket without my knowledge, and it takes 15 minutes to restart my phone and be able to use it again!)
Any advice would be very welcome. Thanks for reading, all the very best.
P.S. I am by no means a phone expert, so it would be hugely appreciated if you could walk me through any potential fixes, I'm not brilliant with jargon... Thanks!

You can do one thing. Download the latest firmware from Sammobile for your model and flash it using Odin. If there is any problem with your firmware then this will fix it. I also had some problems with my phone's firmware so i flashed the latest firmware from Sammobile and everything was fixed. Sometimes there are some problems with the firmware which come by default with the device at the time of purchasing.
