Ok, so I've seen a few post regarding this but looks like its from folks with rooted devices or Galaxy S4.
For the last 4 days I've been getting the following: Prevention Information Message: An application has been forced to stop for an unauthorized attempt to access system in your device.
I can click ok, and all it does it show me a list of running stuff. But not what item is causing the error.
If I look at my most recent updates: the following Apps were updated:
AT&T Messages
Lookout Security (Not using this)
PEN.UP
Sansung WatchON
YP Local Search and Gas Prices
Ant Radio Service
AT&T DriveMode
Any ideas?
I'm having the same problem
this is what it says:
an application has been forced to stop for an unauthorized access to system in your device.
it may be safe to delete an application obtained from an unauthorized route check now
I'm on stock android all my apps are from the play store and lookout says there's no malware
what could this be and how do i get rid of it?

Same issue. I have no idea what's causing it. Anyone have any insight on this yet?
My phone isn't rooted.
I get the same message when I try to run an app that has been restored by Titanium Backup.
"Unknown sources" is ticked.
"Verify apps" is unticked.
The device is rooted via. CF-Auto-Root-jflte-jfltexx-gti9505 and I'm running the latest firmware as of late October 2013.
Confused and frustrated!
I started getting this today. Everything is stock.
Connecting to WiFi seems to trigger it.
What is so infuriating about this, is that it doesn't tell you which app it is blocking. What in the hell is the point of blocking something if you're not going to even tell me what the potential threat was?!
Same problem! Tell me what app to uninstall you dang phone! Can someone please help us?

So I wiped my phone and did 1 to 2 installs of apps a day (left all the ATT stuff until the end). This morning I started getting the message again.
It has to be from either AT&T Drive, or AT&T Locker. Those are the last 2 I installed before it started happening. The odd thing is I uninstalled those and then actually turned them off and its still happening. So I dont even know what to do at this point.

I don't have any of the AT&T stuff and I got the message. As said previously, it is triggered by turning your wi-fi on. If you restart your phone with wifi on without turning it off and on or loosing connection, you don't get the message.
I went through force closing all my apps one by one, same thing.
I kept receiving this message. However I tried this today and the message doesn't appear anymore in the notification bar. What I did was when 'prevention message' appear I long pressed on the message and press 'app info'. It led straight to knox notification. I force stopped it, cleared the data and cache. Then straight away I went to settings> general> security, and unticked unknown sources. Worked for me

Isn't Knox the app that is originally giving this warning? If you force close it, it will stop giving the message without solving the reason of the message. The problem is solved by unchecking the Unknown Sources and clearing cache and data without force closing knox.

It wouldn't work for me wben I just unchecked the unknown sources. It worked when I long pressed on the prevention message and cleared cache and data then untick unknown sources

Did this now, seems to work. I'll wait until tomorrow to give it a Y or N.
There is something wrong with WatchON on my phone. Whenever I try to use it, the main screen shows "No content available for the selected time slot and category". When I go to the remote or channel guide, it freezes and crashes. I've noticed this problem for weeks and nothing I do fixes it. I've tried restarting it, clearing the cache, disabling and reenabling it, nothing works. Has anyone else had these problems?

WatchOn uses peel for the programming guide info. Make sure you have the peel.apk installed. If already installed, clear cache/data and uninstall re-install as necessary.
I have a TA-1000 modded to a TA-1003, after I finished the pie update I realised my WhatsApp messages were only coming through when I manually opened the app. I've reset notification, ensured background data is enabled, checked everything that could be affecting it but nothing works. Sometimes it pops up bit most times it doesn't.
Anyone else having this problem? If so any suggestions?
On a side note, I did have problems with the update to pie. Bootloop, then no command screen, not sure if this could cause any issues
Hi, I have a Galaxy S10+ on Verizon in the USA.
Having a few major problems that I just can't figure out:
1. When I try to download apps from the Play store, the download gets to 99 or 100% but never completes the installation. The fix is to go into settings/apps/show system apps/download manager and "force stop." Then the installation will complete.
2. Some apps don't work correctly. For example the CBS Radio News app starts streaming audio, then stops a few seconds later. And the ParKing app sometimes records my location upon disconnection from my car's bluetooth, and sometimes it doesn't.
3. Notifications from all apps are totally unreliable. Sometimes they'll come right away. Sometimes not for hours, and sometimes all at once. And sometimes when tapping on a notification it will bring you into the app. while sometimes it will do nothing.
WHAT I TRIED:
Tried rebooting, clearing data and cache on problem apps.
Cleared data and cache on "Google", Google Play Store and google play services.
Cleared phone's cache partition.
Uninstalled and reinstalled broken apps.
I THOUGHT I FOUND THE SOLUTION:
All these problems went away a month or so ago when I logged out of my google account on the phone. Iogged back in and it all worked great! I thought the problem was solved, but now it's all happening again. Logged of the the google account and back in, but it's still broken this time.
AND:
I had similar problems with my Galaxy S7, and thought the new phone would fix these problems! Is it possible there's something wrong with my google account? How could I have the same problems on both phones?
I haven't yet tried a factory reboot on the S10+, but I did do it on the S7, and after working for a while, the problems came back.
Additional info:
Mobile data and wifi have strong signals.
No custom ROMs, not rooted or anything, just stock the way it came. Only downloaded apps from Play Store. Nothing sideloaded.
All battery optimization is turned off. Power mode set to "high performance."
I've looked everywhere for a solution and have come here to the ultimate experts. You're my last hope!
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
I'm having a bunch of problems, most of it seems to be related, but i'm not sure. I was having these problems in android 9, and they persisted after i made the update to 10.
The main problem is that I cannot update or install the apps from Google Play store reliably. The download gets stucked with 'Download pending' or somewhere between 90-99%. My connection is fine, no network problems whatsoever. The same problem happens in many wifi networks and in mobile connection. Sometimes, after rebooting the phone a lot of times, i can install 1 or 2 apps before getting stuck again.
I tried to force stop/wipe data from download manager, google play services, google play store and did not help. In fact, now is buggier than ever, and i got a permanent play store notification with a never ending progress bar saying "Concluindo a configuraĆ§Ć£o" (portuguese for finishing configuration).
Other minor issues:
a lot of times I do not get any messages/notifications until I unlock my phone. My whatsapp web stop working, then I unlock my phone and start to receive 4875389475 messages.
Sometimes google app notify me of some news, i click the notification and nothing happens. HOURS LATER, the news shows up in my screen when i'm doing something else.
The Google Calendar widget does not show the content on the home screen (keeps saying 'loading'), but if I open the app, it works ok (inside the app, not in the widget).
I can't sync time with my carrier (always worked on every phone). But time is correct, nonetheless
Anyone having problems like these? Any solution? I don't know more what to do =(
Try doing any one or all of these depending on if one fixes it over the other:
1. Boot into recovery mode (power + volume up + bixby buttons) and do a factory data reset. This will erase everything on the phone.
2. No dice? Find out your bootloader version and flash the stock firmware you're on with Odin. This will also erase everything on the phone.
3. Still nothing? Well then it's time to claim warranty!
